I have used this app on my last few phones without issue, except now with the S10. The app cant seem to draw over the notification area at the top of the screen when the bar is transparent. For example: when playing a full screen game, there is a large gap at the top of the screen that Twilight wont cover. It's hugely distracting, especially at night. Unfortunately is makes the app almost not worth using. Became a pro member to hopefully help fund fixing this bug!
very functional and consistent, not very intuitive though
Love it, but do wish there was a quick on/off with android swipedown controls
My night vision is so sensitive, I can see on moonless nights. Turning on my phone at night is literally painful. This app allows me to use my phone without adjusting my eyes, keeping my brain on the edge of sleep. Studies indicate our electronic devices disturb our circadian rhythm. But for me, my phone keeps my mind off the things that keep me awake. This app allows me to go back to sleep.
Relieves my eyes so much, especially since I am recovering from a head injury. Light sensitivity in the evenings has made default light settings on Android phones too intense for me. Twilight comes through and gives more control to us to modify the colour and intensity of the screen. One suggestion I would make is to update to cover phone screens that go beyond the standard rectangular screen size.
This is the best "get some damn sleep" app around. I have mine set super red and LOVE IT. Been using it for several years and aside from a short period where my drop menu wasn't under its fantastic spell, it is absolutely perfect. I even sprung for the Pro version to support the creators since it's been such a lifesaver.
I heard about this app on YouTube as a recommendation to help with sleeping. I do feel like it works. I have tested it by taking a look at my phone if I wake up from sleeping. With the app running, I no longer feel like my phone wakes me up more than I want. that allows me to fall back to sleep.
Been using the free version every day for over a year now with no complaints so I figured forking out a few bucks for the full version is overdue. My only complaint was how it had weird issues interfering with screen overlays from others apps but either they fixed it or it's not an issue anymore with newer versions of android.
This app is great! I bought the Pro a week later after installing the first Twilight app. I have a real sensitivity to glares and the sun option on the Pro works great during the daytime, it reduces a lot of Glarus for me. I love that you can turning the twilight app off with just a touch or pausing it. Also at the end of the day, I am not really squinting my eyes or rubbing them anymore after coming home from work and watching TV at night. I installed it also on my Ipad.
Love this app, but it needs some UI and Logic improvement. Firstly make it easier to select what apps the filter should auto disable on. Secondly, you need to add a way for it to automatically disable when taking screenshots, because the filter doesn't look as pleasent on a screenshot when shared to friends.
The best blue light filter for Android I have found. It almost seems like a cliché, reading through the reviews, but it too used the app for over 2 years and was so happy with its functionality, overall design and convinience I switched to pro version. Great work, keep it up! Jen tak dál. 😊
The best night filter I could find. It is so customizable. Before bed I like to make my screen as dark as possible and this app allows me to make it even darker than the phone settings allow. I've been using it for over 5 years and wont switch as long as it keeps being the way it is now.
I get migraines from heavy exposure to blue light. I've been using Twilight since 2018 on my android and it has been a lifesaver. I was gifted an iPhone and while trying to find the app for iPhone noticed pro version on sale. I'm fully satisfied with the free version, but I just upgraded to pro because the developers deserve the support. There doesn't seem to be another app like this for iPhone or for windows desktop and I love this app so much I wish I could use it on all my screen devices.
I bought this app and supported it simce its release, I know its not you guys/girls fault (darn you google), but since it can no longer filter the latest Android OS (didnt work for Android O and now P) it's become a little redundant 😟 it can't filter my notifications bar or the bottom of my screen. Hope you find a way around this, been with you guys since the beginning.
No doubt the best screen filter app. There is one thing that I excluded my launcher from the auto pause in apps it does pause but it also includes the drop down notification means it's not filtered. Can Twilight just un filter launcher and filter notification. I already fund the development of this good project.
I've used this app for years and finally got the pro to be able to have more setting options. I don't know how worth it the pro is. I wish the scheduler was easier to used and set. And I wish the pro features were a bit more in depth. The upgrades I got weren't quite worth the $3+ that I paid.
I change my mind, had a horrible rating because for some reason the app was very glitchy on my phone and working less effective that the free twilight. Suddenly started working and definitely worth it. Thanks twilight for rescuing the eyes and minds of todays tech addicts
Loved this app for many years, but now I have Android P which has the same feature built in. But for any older Android, this one is the best, it automatically disables when permission screens pop up and offers a quick setting to quickly disable, for example for showing qr code at the movie theater.
The app is simple to use and does what itbsupposed to be. Very straightforward t obuse, and no annoying ads. I have been using the free app for years and that's good enough for me but I upgraded to Pro because they deserve it. Thank you to the developers.
I'm having trouble sleeping and a friend told me to try blue light filter. I tried some free apps but there's little options and doesn't cover the entire screen. I rate it 5 stars for now. I will update if I encountered any problem. Hopefully it will also improve my sleep.
It's just not very good at filtering blue light. It very clumsily tries to do this by applying a red tint to everything. This lightens the black parts of the screen, which not only looks awful but kills your AMOLED screen. Black minus blue light should still equal black.
I've been using this app for 2 years. Fully satisfied with it, thus switched to pro version. Provides almost every function in the free version too, but purchased the pro version since this app is incredibly helpful.
I used to love this app ...but now its useless ...everytime (no matter the settings )I get a notification bright light hights me out from nowhere as I had not use any filter ... Or if I slide from up down for thw quick settings (WiFi and etc ...)terrible to thw point that its useless .
I like how I can change the setting so that the screen is never too bright or too dark. This app cuts out the blue light and does help with eye strain. I have used this app for over a year now, it the best one I have tried
Had been using the basic version for about a year and upgraded to Pro. Definitely worth $2.99 for the added features such as 'Sunset offset' and 'Stop app when not filtering'.
This app is always one of the first I install on every phone. I read stuff on my phone to fall asleep, and if I didn't have this filter, I wouldn't get sleepy! Then I'd have to read books with a light on. UGH, no fun. This app has been the only light filter I need for many years now. My thanks to the devs!
I didn't need the pro version but I bought it anyway as a thank you for making a great free app that does what it was created to do. It's functional, reliable, concisely designed and works great with my device. My eyes appreciate it!
