They can be placed on the homescreen, on the dock, or used by any application which can make use of shortcuts.
You can select specific apps or let Android choose the media player.

- Bugfix: Shortcuts that targeted "MX Player (ad supported)" did not work. Pro version had no problems. Shortcuts that target it need to be recreated manually (sorry for that)

- The app no longer crashes when you try to create shortcuts where you select "Android" as the media player (happens only with direct shortcuts). Oops.
- The app no longer crashes when you try to lauch shortcuts that where targeted at "Android" as the media player.
Also added Firebase Crash Reporting Service in order to detect when and why this app crashes on your devices.

- Tons of new, shiny, well hidden and suprising bugs
- This is a full rewrite of the app based on Material Design
- Easier to use than the old one
- The menu contains an entry to create a shortcut on the homescreen
- UStream and Flosoft video streams got added, BitGravity streams got removed
- Minimum supported version is now Android 4.0 (ICS) instead of Android 2.2 (Froyo)
- A JSON file now defines the streams and media players. In a future release this will be updateable via the internet so that new streams can be added easily.
- The "TWiT Live Chooser" got removed. It is still in the app and usable by old shortcuts, but no new shortcuts can be created which make use of it. This may change in a future release.
- Permission android.permission.INTERNET has been added because of the use of Google Analytics (please don't be mad because of this).

Excellent! Perfect for the live stream without the chat. Get VLC, and create the shortcut for both the audio and video and you'll be set! I'll update more when I get on a regular keyboard.
Love this app. Was sad it *seemed* to not work in Android O - when you choose 'create shortcut' in the app, it says 'homescreen shortcut created' but no shortcut is created. Solution: Add the app shortcut to homescreen, long press, select widgets and place the 1x1 widget on homescreen. App pops options page, choose preferred source and click button -voila! Working twit shortcuts. Thanks Dev, great app. Edit to dev: I heard flosoft were on the way out, so YouTube would be ideal. Add a donate button, I wanna give u $.
Used to be easy to use, I can't figure out how to get anything working any longer since the app changed. Every time I try and play a video I keep getting video isn't supported or codec errors. Well I have all kinds of video players and this is the only app that has a problem. UPDATE RESPONSE: I did that, as I said I have 3 different video players also, I'm you ruined it by giving all those silly confusing as hell options. I uninstalled it. I'd rather have the old versions that worked. I don't know why you had to ruin an app that simply creates shortcuts. UPDATE AGAIN I haven't tried the link yet but simply because you were thoughtful I have to give at least 3 stars even though the current app doesn't work. I will check back and hopefully you improve the app to make it more simple to use. BTW, I do have VLC and MX player installed and neither works with your app.

Application is useless for any user that would like to do something else on their device while also playing the twit stream. Application will close & stop feed whenever user click Home, Back or tries to open a new application. UPDATE: Why doesn't the developer just admit they corrected the issue within a recent update, rather then making it sound like it's the user phone fault? FYI: I have a High End phone so lame excuse. Doesn't matter anyhow, because I stopped using this application and just stream the audio directly from the site.
For those wanting to multitask during the audio stream, I recommend using the ES File Explorer's audio player when selecting your player. If you don't have it, get it. Best tip I can give. Thank you Daniel. This is the best app for TWiT streams
Not optimized for lineage room. I'm running 14.1 on note 2 .. application hangs at start will not add icon to home screen needs to be reworked I'm patient
It worked fine when I first load it in in the next day it won't work says things like app not installed report problem stuff like that I uninstalled it I've reloaded and I rebooted several times
I was just saying how some players didn't play those streams but Flosoft's worked... I didn't expect the Dev to respond to me in the apps description... Great app and can't wait till you add them! [Original Post] The stream doesn't work anymore... However if you add the new Flosoft streams they work!
This simple little shortcut app plus MX player is all I need for TWIT on the Galaxy Nexus. Simple choice of high quality vid, low quality vid, or only audio. This should work great!
A really nicely working solution to watch the live stream on Android. Light and simple!

After struggling with trying to view live streams in browser with very mixed results that usually required forcing the browser to stop, was nice to find a solution that just worked.
Just locks up video player. Sad makes short cuts but that's all.
Changed it to 5 stars. Works great. Make sure you have a player that supports the stream and you're all set.
Tap the icon, pick your preferred feed..enjoy!
