Worst update ever! Getting rid of the friends list was terrible! I follow a bunch of streamers, but when I want to watch someone that has only a few watching, they may or may not show up on my list. It often cuts off and only shows channels with 50 or more watchers. The friends list made it much easier to join a stream I already follow, as well as checking out new ones. I don't use the 'browse' function. Instead, I will log off. Basically, w/o the friends list, I will spend less time on Twitch.

The latest update has introduced a few new bugs that are particularly annoying. 1. Hitting the pause button and then unpausing a stream does not skip ahead to live feed, instead it resumes where you paused. The only way to get back to live feed is to select a different video quality. 2. When you first open a stream and get a 30 second preroll ad (for example), once the ad ends you now have 30 extra seconds of delay to the stream!

Great on website! Bad over mobile! Continuous issue of trying to watch stuff while on mobile data is horrendous! Many times over I have tried changing the settings for the data, even uninstall/reinstall the whole 9. Changed formats, plus some other small settings. Twitch is the only app on the market that doesn't work on mobile data CONSISTENTLY. TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and many others I have zero issue with. Just twitch is better either on a laptop/computer than it is on there phone.

Feels like an early beta, instead of a production app: it's brim full of bugs. Pause the video, then switch to another application: the mini player will appear, and playback will continue automatically. Rotate your device? Playback will start automatically. The mini player also goes in some weird error modes frequently, showing other parts of the UI than the video. VOD skip controls are a mess; trying to skip forward or backward is a fight against the chat and info panels, almost unusable.

Sometimes I cannot watch live streams because it keeps buffering, even at the lowest quality. The chat will work just fine. However if I want to watch a past broadcast/stream then I have to have it on the lowest possible quality. If it isn't on the lowest quality setting then it continuously buffers every few minutes no matter what else I try. Other than that one issue I quite enjoy Twitch.

Is the mini screen no longer an option and switched to audio in background only? I loved watching streams on the mobile app because of this feature. But recently I find that this is not possible anymore, and I can't close the app except by clicking force stop (accidentally clicked uninstall instead). Is there also a way for me to manipulate the volumes? Everyone's streams are far too quiet that I have to put it on max volume to hear anything, which then blasts my ears when ads come on.

Used to switch from my desktop to my phone just for the sole reason there was no stream delay, now I find myself doing the opposite because the app will lag constantly and the delay will easily be up to a few minutes. I just want to be able to watch my friends and interact with them faster. AND, as a streamer myself I find the delays really annoying when I am trying to interact with my viewers.

Used to be good, but after opening the app, the whole thing loads for ages, freezes, then tells me the app isn't responding. Tried clearing cache, updated the app, didn't change anything about it. There's way too many bugs in this app, it's extremely annoying.

I love Twitch, but this app has so many bugs. Especially the Chromecast integration, which is still almost unusable. Chromecasting causes the app to drain my battery in a few hours, as well as the quality switching all the time bug which has existed for literally years now. And now changing streams while casting doesn't work.

Would be great if it was able to capture game chat from other people in game, instead of just being able to play and stream with same console in party and even then including the audio is rarely used by people. Maybe add options for overlays on console as well, like make it to where we can see all the overlays we put on ourstream if we choose to.

This app used to be great, but in the last two months it practically became unusable, when you click on a stream it loads for a while then just give you a black screen, (happens on both my phone and tablet) sometimes it even plays an ad video first which works fine, but the stream itself is just a blank screen. vods also works well without issues, but what's the point of a streaming app if streams won't work?

Super annoyed that the recommended channels are first in the FOLLOWING tab when I very much don't care about discovering new content unless I use the DISCOVERY tab... As a new user, it is so backward to go through stuff you don't want to get to the actual channels you marked that it took me 3 weeks to figure out that the endless scrolling had something at the end... So far, only plus on this app is the overlay feed that works very well when on another app.

Can we get some bug fixes at some point? They just never get better. They are insufferable. Chat doesn't update properly, when minimised the stream glitches and you can't watch the image in full view, if you tab out then back in you can't type in chat unless you restart the whole stream. So many bugs.

Destroyed the app. If watching picture in picture ads misformat the video. Randomly pauses on its own and can't be restarted without closing app and going back in, resolution changes by itself even when auto isn't selected, so many bugs you can't list them all. Seems like nobody knows what they are doing

Pause button is bugged when i press it , it shows the pause button as play button and the play button as Pause , I tried resetting and I have the latest version . Second bug is comments on video's doesn't refersh and doesn't appear automatically ,i have to fully close stream and reset video for comments to appear for a few seconds and the issue reappears again. Third bug is the full screen gets very tiny "zoomed out" by itself and when in pop up mode it's very zoomed in not a pop up layout.

My experience was simple: Black screens ( with audio somehow ) Unsynced voices with video and the ads which were absolutely messing with the playback of the stream. I tried looking at solutions for this and none worked it seemed that before this latest update twitch at least worked somewhat now i cant watch a streamer for 5 seconds without the video freezing. Overall needs major rework even the actual twitch website was somehow 2 seconds better until freezing.

I love his app, even though it has its faults. Sometimes, while streaming, the app just ends the broadcast. When this happens, I have to completely close the app and reset up the stream, or else I will be streaming a still image and the audio will continue. I would like a way to add my own scenes/overlays to the app to use while streaming. So I could use the same overlay that I use wile streaming on pc. I am happy with the recent update, giving me a preview window while streaming.

It has it's good and bad days, something that has never worked are the notifications for when people go live, you could say I should memorize schedules and all that many people don't and just getting a notif when someone goes live is convenient. No matter what I do in the settings on the app or my phone have fixed it. The good days have slowly been decreasing as there is CONSTANT buffering no matter what I connect to or how poor I set the quality to.

This app has always been quite bad. Navigating was terrible and half the time it never remembers where I am, and it requires effort to to and see vods. But the latest update now shows blank pages and has to be restarted to be able to play anything. Also once it is playing, while the video keeps playing I lose the ability to open the video to move forward or back in the video or to see how long is left. (At least when casting).

Picture in picture background mode is completely broken. If I switch from full screen to picture in picture and try to go back into twitch it will go into full screen mode but there are no controls to minimize and my phones Navigation buttons stop working. The only way to get my phone working again is to restart it. This app has been getting more and more unusable with each update. Often when I close the app and stop picture in picture mode the audio from the stream will keep going till I reset

Great app. I just dislike ads. They don't make me want products, and are rarely helpful in any way. I just want to watch gamers play games without having to turn the volume down for an ad that is at 2 or 3 levels higher than the streamers I watch. At least give the option to skip a few seconds in. And adjust volume to match the audio level of the stream. Please.

In the latest updates, the app's UI became really glitchy. Sometimes, after switching to another app and then switching back to Twitch, the UI completely glitches out and becomes unusable until I restart the app. Also, there have been some other minor bugs that existed for a long time and haven't been fixed yet.

Had constant issues over AT LEAST a few years. VOD chat doesnt work if you scroll up was the first issue i had. Not only did that issue not get solved, but now the chat would just straight up stop working in vods after a minute or so. When vods youre watching go to the external background player on android, going back to the app completely breaks it to the point where your entire phone freezes. On top of that, clips break when you try to watch multiple and sometimes just do nothing when selected

Keeps disconnecting chat. I use it to see how stream is going. It either disconnects chat or won't continue to move chat. Have to check if scrolling needs to happen. Now channel redemptions are not working. Click into the menu but click on them does nothing. Basically is just a thumbnail screen no access. Otherwise it is a way to hear streamers and sometimes chat.

This app should be 3 separate apps. One for streaming, one for viewers, and one for creator's dashboard. The new update is broken. Literally have to exit the app every 5 minutes in order to be able to type in a chat or scroll down a channel's "about" page. I uninstall then reinstall the app several times a day just in order to use the basic function of connecting to a chat room or being able to type. It's 2022 and there's still up to a 2 minute delay sometimes while watching streams... what?

Worked fine for ages now with the new update I can't even open other twitch channels without closing the app, it will open to the chat only but no video. Only way to switch to other twitch channels is opening another app like YouTube then ill go back to the twitch app again where it will automatically change to the channel I was trying to open, very very annoying!!
