Two Dots

Great game BUT it has an unneeded, in my opinion, life system. Looking through other reviews, you'll find that this remark always comes back. And, with the age of the game, if it hasn't changed by now, it's likely that it never will... Sad conclusion for such a great game. ps: loading times, over animated transitions and an abundance of confirmation prompts can be a problem too.

It's been a while that I've been playing this game. I really like the idea of connecting dots, different worlds, challenges, the side quests, the musics and the design. My favorite side quest is the seasonal map where you have to find little things. I really like it but unfortunately you have to pay real money in order to continue. It would have been great if I could watch adds to get money and be able to continue those seasonal maps or to be able to watch adds to continue it.

Really fun game. Relaxing, yet challenging at the same time. Lots of instructions and help throughout, so it's easy to understand and play. Edit: Once you get through the easy parts, the game is purely meant to make money. Buy scramblers, various packs, etc. I'd be cool with a one time fee, but that's not available. Can't complete the higher levels without buying stuff...I uninstalled and don't recommend.

I love this game and how aesthetically pleasing it is. It's the perfect kind of game that takes just enough strategy to be a challenge but it's still relaxing. My only complaint is that the "win streak" bonus power ups are *too* powerful. They make each level take only 5 turns, which isn't a challenge. I keep having to lose on purpose to avoid them. Would love to be able to opt out of it or something.

So, the pros: The artwork is whimsical and fun, the mechanics are, for the most part, easy to learn and understand, aside from the timers on power-ups, there is zero pressure, so you can play at your own pace. The different types of dots are clever and rarely repetitive. And the inclusion of a color-blind mode is really nice. I also like the scavenger hunts, as those are very adorably drawn and a lot of fun to play. Now, the cons: The controls can be a little fiddly at times. The biggest annoyance is that you don't have 100% certainty that the next move is ready to go, due to the various dots and animations completing - MANY MANY times I have started the next move, but the game doesn't register it until I am halfway through, so the square I was trying to complete turns into a half square, and then the rest of the level is basically screwed for me. Would be nice to have some sort of indicator like "READY" or...heck, I don't know. Now, for the biggest annoyance - this game is an absolute money grab. There are exactly zero ways to earn gold without buying it with real money. You "earn" gold after beating levels, but it goes into a gold mine that you then have to pay for to empty. Every. Single. Time. And since there are some things you just can't do without real money (like any scavenger hunt level above 2), that means it is literally pay to play. So that whole "forever free" bit is BS. Oh yeah, one more thing - the "watch a video to earn a prize" thing is intermittent, at best. And about a quarter of the time you tap the button, then get a giant X in the top right hand corner, and the ad doesn't play. Back up and try to tap the watch button again - works about half the time - but the other half nothing happens. And I have noticed with recent updates that if you are on a key level where being able to watch a video for a boost would be a big help, the button will conveniently not appear for only one level - especially when you have a win streak. It's as if they want you to lose your win streak and have to buy booster boxes. Hmmmm... Despite all of this, it's still a fun game that I have been playing for over a year (recently made it to level 2000), and will continue to do so until it becomes frustrating, at which point it will get uninstalled. And I will never spend another cent on this game - I bought the 1st tier gold mine thinking it would allow me to collect gold from level wins? Nope. Just the one time. It wasn't a big purchase, but I regret the money anyway. So...never again.

This is my favorite phone game of all time! There are no outside ads, and there are always different challenges/mini-games to play. Your lives regenerate after 20 minutes, so you can bounce from one challenge to the next while you come back to life! The graphics are cute and the variety of dots keeps each round interesting.. the only downside is I want more scavenger hunt levels!!!

This game is fun and addicting. However, once you get further on in levels, and there's more going on within the game levels, it will freeze up and kick you out often. Normally it will start you back where you were but not always. These glitches have cost me to lose coins/bonus items I've purchased with my own money. You do get freebies every so often. If it weren't for losing out on things I actually purchased due to glitches this app would have 5 stars.

Heavy on the hard sell as every time you try to move from one level to the next, you have to wade through a bunch of screens and popups, all trying to get you to pay for bonus features. Fails to get the balance right between trivially easy early levels and later levels which you have to repeat ad nauseum or pay to play. Just not interesting or innovative to keep going or pay.

The bonuses that you used to be able to collect seem to have mostly been replaced with time limited versions. Even though the time limits can be extended by subsequent rewards, additional instances of these bonuses can't be collected, so this seems like a downgrade. Of course, you may be able to still buy the non-time limited ones if you like throwing endless amounts of money at a game.

Everything about this game is perfect EXCEPT: 1. It suddenly closes especially after watching ads which is extremely annoying 2. Games are sometimes hard to win if you don't have paid items. Also, there are mini games which requires to pay after some levels. I would love to play those games too. In short, it is really creative and unique game, BUT it crashes often and too expensive! That's why I give 2 stars! Edit: experience got worse, so I give 1 star. Pls fix this issue 😑.

It might have been a five star game, but bugs and monetization is killing it for me. Dots race progress not syncing every other round; watching ads doesn't always give you another life. Now they started showing ads between the levels. Some levels marked as normal are ridiculously complicated. Scavenger hunts impossible to compete without paying, not one. And finally UI is way too slow with all the animations.

Changed to 2 stars. Frequently this game does not add my points to points event. It has happened dozens of times over the last 2 weeks. I just started a level at 40 points, ranked 9. I scored 13 points on the level which should have raised me to rank 3. My points were not added. Also, players should be able to choose when to begin timed awards, I don't like that they start automatically.

It's super entertaining, I'm almost at level 900 but it gets to the point where you NEED to buy things to complete a level. And the app now rewards you with timed items to help you but I'd much rather have the untimed items they had in the past. You basically have to spend money on this game ://

Some parts of the game can not be completed because I hv to pay to buy coins, BUT! It is my favourite game! Love everything about it, the design, visualities & details, the MUSIC! The idea & story behind the journey and puzzles, the inspiring names & titles, the challenges & races, the rewards. in-app-ads, are fairly reasonable and can be easily skipped. Update: Many bugs since a few updates ago! Boosters are now "timed": must be used within the timeframe or be lost till next gift! 😮‍💨😖🫤

If your game crashes during a level, it counts as a loss. No gold medal for you on that level, literally ever. There's a recent thing where if you beat a level first try, you get a gold medal over that level on the map. It plays on our OCD, as it's glaring to not have gold on a level when others do. Also encourages us to spend money and items, the point of playing the game, from their perspective. Game crashes on that level, gone forever. This actually set me free, but others won't be as chill.

Reached level 84 and haven't seen a single ad. Either they removed them or it's a glitch and I shouldn't update the app. The game itself is great. Simple yet diverse. Update: after a few hundred levels you sometimes have to rely on luck a lot (thinking ahead becomes fairly impossible) and the newly introduced concepts don't compensate for the lost fun.

I was able to get through several levels without even looking at the cost of gold. But around level 23 the game told me I was filling a mine with every win, and I could buy discounted gold from it. It was $3 for 50 gold. Now, that's enough for a few power ups, maybe some aesthetic stuff, but that's discounted. When I finally looked at the normal prices, they were double that, which is absurd. It's also incessant about the various things you can spend gold on, so I'm rating it low and deleting it

A puzzle game that excels in ads and nothing else. The weekly leaderboard competitions are nice aspect but unfortunately it's render practically useless since almost ever single level I play I got no points due to "We're having trouble syncing your progress". Constantly it fails to update my points and I end up wasting time and effort. You know what works though, ADs, NEVER hiccup with ads. Such potential but poor execution and focus on user experience.

I downloaded the game through an ad on FB, but it was completely misleading. The game itself is decent and can be challenging at times. There are mini "Where's Waldo" style games that I enjoy more than the actual game, but they are pay to play after the first two levels. Gold coins have to be bought and cannot be earned; these allow you to unlock levels and buy bundles. Although I haven't bought any gold coins, the price seems expensive for the amount paid. All in all, it's a good time filler.

I love this game, but I have one problem; every time I re-enter the game from being off it for like a minute or above, it lags out my phone like crazy for a decent amount of time (~20+ secs). Please fix this ASAP. Other than that, I love the gameplay and the near-endless levels and types of dots, along with the visual design's simplicity. For anyone getting into the 200's, be warned: The Emerald Jungle is very hard.

I've been playing this game on & off for years & it continues to get better as it adds new levels, new game mechanics, and new modes. However, I removed one star because the scavenger hunt is nearly impossible to do because of the way the screen jets around when you're trying to move it, sometimes in directions you weren't even planning to go. It's very frustrating. I removed a second star because sometimes the main levels are so difficult that they're seemingly impossible w/o paying for help.

This is a fun game. It is clever, challenging, and when you get into the upper levels, it really makes you think about what is the best move, even when it looks like the best move is flashing at you. I will say, like any pay to win games, the algorithm will eventually force you to use power ups or you'll have to buy them, but there seems to be a built in limit for earning and storing free power ups. Otherwise, it is good game and I recommend it.

This game would be much more fun to play if gold could be earned without purchasing it. Also some of the levels (especially for events) are way too difficult, even if you're good at the game. You can't beat them with or without power ups. Also there are way too many events that go on at once which is unorganized in my opinion but the fact that out of all of them you can't get gold which is basically crucial for the game is extremely frustrating. This is a rage game. You have been warned.

I downloaded this game recently, and have only had one issue with it. Althought the game is typically smooth, the scavenger hunts have to be my favorite. The only downside is that anytime I go watch an ad for a hint, the game buffers and blacks out. I also never get the hint and continue to try multiple times but still no luck. Please fix this if it I also an issue for others.

I remember really enjoying this game in the past, so I downloaded it onto my current device. I don't know if it's my phone, but the app has been freezing or crashing every few minutes. It'd also be nice to have a way to earn gold that doesn't cost real-world money, but moot point for now; the constant crashing is making it borderline unplayable.

I really like the colours and graphics but, as others have noted: 1. It does not include any games of joining dots across a circle, which is what was advertised. 2. It is strongly pitched towards in-app purchases, using very deliberate tactics to cause addiction and then shakedown the player to be able to continue playing. These tactics are hugely frustrating.
