It works and I can see my photos and music and videos but I cannot play videos... my photos show as a different file type than they really are... and when I rename my device is still says Twonky Player. If you fix these issues I will update my review to five stars.
I paid for this app, Twonky Player for several months and it did not work. I have just cancelled my subscription. Maybe it was my fault not knowing what exactly to do but it was wasted money.
Not playing my flac files, but VLC and others apps just plays them without any problem. My mp3 files works. Pitty as nice player if you are used to twonky server
unbelievable. asking security permissions to give or exit. i don't want to give permission because i not going to use your security mumbo jumbo protocol.. just wanted player as i got this donkey server with nas. quickly deinstalled.
Permission scheme renders it useless. If I can do it on local network access through the WebUI I should be able to do it in the app without a single permission. This isn't hard.
Terrible app... You have to give all kind of weird permissions for something that definitely does need it! Access to make phone calls??? Really???
Only plays audio when using DTCP-IP playback. Kind of pointless!
Does not work when casting DTCP-IP media to Chromecast or Android TV devices.
Stops after playing a few songs then you have to wake it up again.
Permissions is a no go alone.. Other than that it didn't work on Roku
Doesn't access files on Twonky server. Period.
Wants to access phone calls & will not work without it.
Works fine not sure what all the poor reviews and whining are on about Just a simple app that casts to TV
Needs too many permissions. Why does it need to make phone calls ?
Wants permissions that are in no way necessary to stream from a local server.
Dislike when i habe top re install it after or movie to cast to my tv
What do you need all the permissions for? And no audio to boot!! I'm out.. lol
Either confusing or wont work,
It work with my two android my Qnap, WDMyCloud, MyCloudHome
it can only access photos stored in internal memory not SD card :/
Obtrusive & obnoxious app that thinks too much of itself for too little in return. No you're not having all those permissions just so I can do something I can do without those permissions with other, better apps or just with windows!! Just because you came free with my NAS doesn't mean I won't uninstall you and flash something better on there!!
