It connected while I was setting it up but once I got it all set up and done, it will not connect. I took a screenshot but I can't download it. Says connected but then fails. 🙄 I was gonna buy another one of these from Costco bc it comes with an SD card.
I bought this camera 4 months ago thinking it will continually record but it hasn't. It won't recognize my phone when I log Into the app and it has it has to have the car powered on in order for it to record. The good thing is I bought from Costco and it is going right back. Well look into getting A 360 camera that does not need the car to be Ignition Ignition on in order to continuously record.
When the app works, it's great, however there are times it takes a very long time for it to connect to the camera. To be fair, since the last update, it works quiet a bit better. However, it seems to struggle with areas of high interference, like downtowns, where you need the camera the most. I'm hopeful they'll work on connection stability significantly as they continue to update the app. I really like having a backup camera I didn't have to wire in and can take the screen with me.
Basic features work but overall the app is underwhelming. Thankfully it works correctly (Pixel 4 XL and Drive 360 dash camera). After some light use, my one complaint is that 'event' video clips are not marked with a timestamp that the event actually happened. An up to 10 minute clip can be an event clip and trying to figure out when the event actually occurred is quite difficult.
Decent resolution but doesnt always work. Didnt record when I needed it most 2 times! Hate the time lapse stuff. It's so fast if someone tampers with your car good luck pausing it just in time. I thought it was supposed to continously loops. But seems to only record intermittently. Also, hard to connect even when you are inside the car most times. I've had this for 9 months now
Very easy to use - if you are competent. Almost returned my dashcam before opening it, soley based on the bad reviews all over the internet from people who are incompetent. I'm glad I can read InStRuCtIoNs.
Update 2 (2021): After updates...still doesn't remember devices...lags to connect. Update: for all intents and purposes...useless. Why does this app keep needing to re-pair all the time. Why can't it remember the last device it was paired to? After all, how many camera's do they really think people will use this with? One camera most likely. And if anything...give you a list of "paired devices" that you've previosuly paired with. Takes a long time to connect.
Installed including necessary holes, connected it to wifi all as described. The camera view is good but every time I want to back up I must connect to the camera to see what's in the back before backing up, if I remove the foot on brake while backing up it shuts off and I must restart the whole thing again and it takes lots of time! Taking it back to the store.
Viewing video is horribly slow. Downloading a single video clip to my Galaxy Note takes around 10 minutes and is still very choppy to watch. The video is only viewable in the app, not in my phone's gallery. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Is there a way to not have to tap "connect" -- each time opening the app to view the back-up camera video? Mobile device laws while driving where I live, don't allow touching the screen while driving, unless legally parked first. I'll increase my rating, if and when there is a fix provided! Thanks!
The app itself is pretty self explanatory and easy to use, but the initial wifi connection can be a lil annoying. Once the phone (android) is connected though, it reconnects easily and depending on how new your phone is will also determine how quickly it reconnects.
Had to switch my phone to English language in order to pair the parking sensor - please fix this so that one can pair all devices without changing the language (-1 star). The app is not yet Android Auto compatible, please implement this in the next update (-1 star). Apart from that the system seems to work pretty decent for the moment.
Can't change the password because of you do it won't work, so I left it how it was. Now I can't connect. What a waste of money. Don't bother buying. Quality of film is par. Can zoom in to see licences plates.
I downloaded the app and it won't even open the app. It keeps telling me it stopped
As a parent of a teenager this product is a lifesaver. Literally two weeks into driving (before we got Type S) he backed into a post. This has not only saved us money on purchasing a full install backup sensor, it saved us money on car insurance. I can't express how easy it is to use and install either. If I could give it 10 stars I would.
Product is truly bad. tried it after reading bad reviews and sadly... it turns off every time the app connects to camera. weird. im an Tech Professional. Couldnt fix it. so waste of time.

Do not waste your money! I have the dash cam. 1st day installed app on February 10, 2021 it worked perfectly. Has not worked a day since!! Everytime I try to connect it reads app device cannot connect.
$h!+ !!!! Don't buy or download. I just bought the 360 dash cam and while the camera looks like it might work the app is teach and will not connect with the camera. I have a Google Pixel 3 XL. At this point I'm going to have to return the camera.
Got this dashcam from Costco. I'm lucky I still have the receipt because I almost wasted $120 on it. This app is virtually worthless to use. Forgets devices and barely even loads. They're losing sales based off their app. They better get it together or they're done for.
I was hoping I could use the app in my phone instead of the mounted camera, as it blocks my windshield view. But the app will not connect to the camera. Says "Mobile device cannot pair." Using a Samsung S10e.
Works fine mostly. Live video feed shows mph, but the numbers are kph. Video is ok, even with pictures at max resolution, license plates are barely readable.
App won't maintain connection to camera, can't even configure camera from phone as app doesn't work, camera gets hot when on. Other than a larger screen and touch controls using the phone, there doesn't appear to be any value in the app. Pretty useless. Based on quality of the app, I'm not going to bother using the camera as no idea if it will work. It goes back to Costco.
