Type S LED

I have had the colored driving lights for more than a year now. At the Starr I experienced no issues with the lights or the app. But over the last several months I notice that the nights will go out after a few minutes. The app needs to be closed out and restarted to activate them again. This is more common when I'm on other screens on my phone. Please fix this as I am a full time driver. It's a real inconvenience for the lights to suddenly shut off while I'm working and driving. Thanks!

I installed the pro series led lights they show up on the app but can't control the lights at all there just flashing multiple colors and can't turn them off or change colors and the zones are not showing up at all I called the manufacturer and was on the phone the phone with them for 38 minutes and still couldn't get an answer or anything fixed only suggesting they could come up with was sending me a new control box hopefully it works Honestly I'll never buy this product ever again

There is absolutely no reason that a lighting app needs permission to access files and media on my phone. An intrusive invasion of privacy. Don't bother getting the 72" trim extension. Light projects about 2" at full brightness then a very dull glow.

The app needs work big time. Take too long to connect and if the phone screen goes to sleep or if you where to get a call the app looses the connection and have to restart. I have 2 other led products not made by stype and apps work very will quick connect and stay connected until you say to disconnect. As for the product it's self its great. Plenty of colors and different styles. Could be a little brighter but does well for where it's placed.

ADDS AND DATA MINING BEWARE It's asking me to sign in with an account... for WHAT? Why the heck would I connect my facebook or google account to my car lights? They're just lights?! I spent nearly $100 on this setup, and the app shows me ads, downloads these ads to my phone (I didn't give it permission to download anything?) and then it wants my localtion and log in info. Gross.

hardware workes pretty great which i got w/o the smart hub but came with a box to manually change the color and had four modes but now that i baught the interior smart hub i feel like i wasted money buying it. the prism option is probably the only one ill use the most since the music option doesnt have the same features(multicolor) as the pro series smart hub which doesnt make sense. Also the color wheel doesnt work to well i had better color options with the box that manually chages the color.

(Key:1set=pair=2lights. a preset=a saved settings for a pair of light) A MAJOR ISSUE; whenever 2different presets are selected & are different color settings I've found when app is left running in background & while another apps are in use, when I return to the type-S app, 1preset gets lost/disconnected when switching from any other app, back to type-S app, alot of times 1 pair of light sets is disconnected & only way I get it backis reboot phone!) & app looses my; (presets/saved settings)!

Won't let me turn off. I can log in, turn the lights on, put my phone in my pocket, come back and no connection. Galaxy Fold 3. Used to not have this problem. Drains my motorcycle battery.

The app is finicky at best. The Bluetooth lags and I have to reset the app multiple times only for it to cut off after 30 seconds. Currently I would not recommend the app or the product

This app will not pair with my phone and I have a S20FE. Every time I open the app it does not see the lights and I know the Bluetooth on them is working cause it shows up in my available Bluetooth devices but when I click on it it says you need the app and I already have it

in the previous update, it worked perfect for me, but now, even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times, checking all of the LED poets to make sure theyre rifht, and going as far as trying tk reset the smart hub, it doesnt even work. After choosing the smart hub fron the main page, im brought to another page that is as long as 2 lengths of my phone, where im unable to do anything except change the first light. the otherones are on, but all they do is glow blue. overall: trash.

This app is really cool! I figured out how to pair the Smart Hub and my phone, it's a little tricky at first but as long as you enter the app without Bluetooth on and select the "allow Bluetooth" option it should pair. Might have to wait a few moments. I was able to access all the features without problems. And the adhesive for the lights is strong, not sure what these other guys are talking about. Just place it on a flat surface and clean it first. Will edit review if any issues occur.

I've had this kit for years. Had issues with1st one, they sent a new one and always had same issue with 2nd. The kit is everything I want and need inside the camper on my truck except the things will not stay on for more than 10 seconds. I did some rewiring this weekend, everything on my end is right, all the lights work, all the modes and colors are correct but it WILL NOT stay on for more than 10 seconds so I give up. Ill go back to ignoring they're even there cause they useless

So far I've had to exchange this product 3 times in the first 2 weeks. I have three kits on a 2011 Camaro. The problem I'm having is that the app is only allowing 2 kits to be read. It will not allow all three kits to be accessed. I've tried resetting the kit Bluetooth connections, resetting my phone and phones Bluetooth connections, and tried all forms of unplugging and plugging back in. The only thing I can think of is that it's the app. If anyone has any ideas...let me know.

Software bugs: My issue is with the app. It will connect no issues at first, but if you have to switch to another app that uses bluetooth, it has difficulty reconnecting. Make sure you program a few presets first. Update ideas: I wish you could strobe colors, and not just the whites. This way might stand out better if broken down on the trail. Could you add Toyota 4runner to the Image lineup

Horrible, no control after the first week. Absolutely do not buy these interior lights! The box is "frozen" and wont turn off with the button or the app and is stuck on 2 different colors that I dont like/have never chose. If I had control of the light I would like them, but having no control makes them almost useless. Waste of money in my opinion for sure!

Everything is working fine (well. Almost), but I've gone through at least 5 Bluetooth modules. BT Modules need to be redesigned. Dome LEDS blink due to BT interruption when your not on the specific page for the Dome Lights. If i leave it on the Dome Lights page, everything works and looks great. Just a few bugs that need to be worked out, but it's been like this for at least 5 yrs. That's about how long I've been using them. Think it's about time to switch to XKGlow....

This brand if very useful once you can connect it to the app. Installation is simple depending on where you mount the lights. I bought the exterior lights and used the tape to hold them in position until screwing them down. FYI The tape will not hold hold up the lights for long if you're during exterior. I wired mine directly to the battery and gained power. Now in order to turn on and off the lights, adjust brightness, or change the colors I use the app. NOT all BLUE-T IT COMPATIBLE

It is simple to install and user friendly, Did lack color intensity I was somewhat expecting! Seems to be very well made! But I have not really tested yet for its Reliability in the field. nice wiring harness . Would like to see a wiring harness extension that allow you to reap other benefits of owning the light. Simply a more flexible and applicable. Would like to have had a old school switch for simply on / off --- hi/ lol Etc. And free up phone ; I don't always take mine every where I am.

Well I have 2 different vehicles that have the lighting system on them and I was having problems I think because 2 identical apps on the same phone were interfering with each other so I uninstalled the original app and installed a new(only one available) type S app and now it never lasts for more than 15 or 20 seconds (it just gives me a sample of everything) but I can't leave anything on so it's pretty much garbage now. I have 4 other cars that I was gonna buy kits for,.....but not anymore!

EDIT: I had to drop my review from 3 stars to 1. Ever since the new update my light bar wont stay on more than 10 seconds. App really needs a widget for function from home screen. The light bar it's self is pretty bright with better optics than cheap light bars which I have used in the past. For what it is and what I use it for it works great. If the app had a widget so it can be turned off or switched modes instantly from the devices home screen I would give it 5 stars.

Easy Installation for starters! I have a Can Am Spyder that I installed this on. The Only problem or improvement I would suggest is putting on metal clips for the battery cable instead of sheeving the wire and wrapping the wire around the post. Secondly, for some reason the bluetooth transmitter wasn't transmitting once I reassembled the frunk (front trunk). So I had to dissemble, removed the frunk and then pair it first with the app. Now it WORKS PERFECTLY!

Bluetooth won't connect on these lights without rebooting the box. Even then, sometimes, doesn't work. This app may work with products besides the one I had, but for mine it was useless. Didn't remember certain settings either. Close the app and you start over.
