Typoman Mobile

It's not bad, but I found myself losing interest pretty quickly. Maybe it makes better use of the concept later on, but when I left, the puzzles were all pretty obvious. Also, the controls are alternately sticky and twitchy, which is kind of a deal-breaker in a platformer. It's a cute concept, especially the way the hero is _made_ of the word "hero", but that's not enough, sadly.

This is a game I really want to love. The story line I've seen so far is perfect, and graphics are amazing. I think where this game really has its downfall is optimization. The gamplay is pretty janky, and controls are a bit inconsistent. This game is also very buggy and slow. Ads wouldn't load, and I'd have to exit the app and lose a lot of progress.

It is an original concept with brilliant graphics. The controls are not great though: I admit I am not the greatest player on arcade games, but I think that buttons instead of a too sensitive joystick would be better on a small screen. Ads for hints are fine, but I don't want to restart at the same point and watch the same ad 3 times to get a hint. If you want me to watch 3 ads for a hint is fine, just say so and don't make me die when I asked for a hint and restart the chapter unnecessarily.

Great game, It was definitely a fun challenge. The only thing that bothered me were the controls. The controls to move didn't always respond quite right. I'd move to walk forward and my character would go back a few steps before going the correct way. Not a good thing if you're on a ledge or trying to get away fast. It also didn't always respond to haveing my character pull himself up from a ledge. All in all a pretty good game, wish It had more chapters to play.

Am I the only one who feels like it's only half a game? Just when the story started getting interesting, it's over. The puzzles were clever, but not particularly challenging. I had a fair bit of fun transmuting words with the LIE mechanic. Would love to see some puzzles that require 3 or 4 transmutations on a single word. This is a 5 star idea. -1 for the clunky action platformer controls and. (this game needs to decide what it wants to be when it grows up. hint: more puzzles, less run 'n jump)

Great game. Quite challenging and fun. It is a little short to me. Some bonus missions after you've completed it would be nice. Also it should have a demo so people can truly experience the game because you can't enjoy it and make a dissension to buy the premium version if you get mad at having to watch ads when you die in the free version while still in the prologue. With that said if you don't mind the bit of ads or paying a small amount it is well worth downloading.

Great game concept is held back by terrible controls. I really like the concept of this game, and the word puzzles themselves are interesting, difficult, and fun to solve. The problem is the action aspect of the game. The onscreen controls are ok at best, but running from a monster while jumping over obstacles AND putting together words goes from challenging to just plain frustrating. The game requires precise and quick movements, but those are nearly impossible without a physical controller.

I've only played 30 min of this game so far and it's safe to say that this game is great. Its a 2D platformer that does what it aims to achieve well. From the art style, presentation, even with some of the enemies, the word based puzzles, controls and the ambient music, its all very impressive for a mobile game and Im sure it's already on steam. I'm always on the look out for good mobile games like this if anyone has suggestions 1 problem are the ads but they happen when you die, otherwise good

I played this game for about 30 seconds.... Then I immediately purchased the ad free version!! Get this game!! It's everything a good side scrolling platform should be with the added bonus of a visually STUNNING environment and outstanding sound quality. The challenges aren't too too hard, and I finished the game in a day but.... What an exciting, captivating, FUN game experience. And a really really refreshing change of pace to see a protagonist strive for faith, hope, and love against evil!

This game is a huge disappointment. Overall it's actually pretty good, but the controls, they're awful. Massive delay in the button to action process, character can't execute two functions simultaneously, like lifting objects while in motion. These faults make the gameplay frustrating to the point of all loss of desire to play the game entirely. Please adjust gameplay parameters to suit the needs of multi-action sequence gaming. Thank you.

This is just the game I was looking for! Creative and Beautifully designed. It has challenging puzzles all the while enjoying the experience of a fun platformer. The virtual joystick was a bit hard to use in tense situations and I did run into a glitch where typoman got stuck on the right edge of the screen but for the most part the game played well. My only real disappointment was that it ended too quickly, only 3 chapters:( I guess my quest for a good game must begin again. I hope for a sequel

I've come across amazing games with great stories, graphics, and gameplay. I saw typoman and thought, ok, Ill try it, thinking it would be pretty good. And it wasn't... it was even BETTER. With solid puzzles, good music, and above all, an incredible story, I don't think I have anything to complain about. Even with it only ranging a few hours, I was left completely satisfied. Its everything you can ask for in a puzzle platformer. 4.9 stars for being as close to perfection as it can get.

This is one of the few games that has managed to engage me. Really like the gameplay, however the ad window is horrible. Most times the ad window pops up, there are no ads to show or the ad fails to load. Either ways, the game doesn't allow you to progress until you've seen an ad and so you're left staring at a screen waiting for an ad to become available. Have to restart the app to continue playing.

The game is nice but after a few minutes a window pops up with a message that i need to watch an ad or the progress will reset. There is no problem in making users watch ads, thats how developers make their money after all. But the problem is that no ads will play for me. I tried a few times but it still doesn't play an ad. I had to reset my progres, and because of that, I deinstalled the game.

Not optimized for mobile at all. Some puzzles require way too many tries simply because of the bad controls; others are because the camera is in a bad position. The ads are obnoxious in this game; they're locked 30 second ads that pop up _constantly_. The game itself is great on other platforms, but it's almost unplayable here. When you get past the bad controls, the blocking ads popping up every time you die prevents you from enjoying the game. *Very frustrating*

Not a good game at all. Great concept yes. But almost unplayable. Pace is too slow and crashes frequently. Also sometimes it zoomed so far in, I couldn't even see what part of the level was next and had to restart to fix the FOV. played for about 30 mins and uninstalled. Very disappointing game with so much potential. Did these bugs and I'll try it again in 6 months. And Make it more fast paced also. Faster movement etc. That would be perfect.

very cool game. I love it. might think "why 2 stars then?" Well the only thing wrong with this game is that it doesn't save your progress. You either have to watch a video ad if you lost all lives OR purchase the premium version. And watching an ad video would be okay if it would've been working. It keeps saying no Internet connection detected and wouldn't show me an ad video. Although my internet is actually working just fine

I love the artstyle of this game and the story seems interesting, but the controls are infuriating. They are not immediately responsive and the animation is too long, so you die and have to repeat a bunch of stuff. Not to mention the ad situation! I'm fine with ads, don't get me wrong, but sometimes you die and have to watch an ad or your progress will be reset. For me, the game claims there's no internet access (which there is), so I have to reset. Will probably uninstall - it's a shame really.

This game is an example of what happens when everyone in a dev team does a great job: the story, the designs, the animations, even the sounds of the game are darn near perfect! I usually don't like platformers so much, but this game was so amazing I had to love it! The puzzles were challenging and allowed for creativity in their solutions.

This game has a thrilling atmosphere, with clever word puzzles and a unique gameplay experience. However there are still some bugs that annoy me, I sometimes got stuck after watching a reviving ads, and the Dpad control is not quite good, especially when I wanna move up. Otherwise this is a cool game and I will recommend it to my friends :D

WARNING when you die the first number of times and get prompted to watch an ad (or buy it) in order to keep going -- if the ad doesn't load, and try again button doesn't work, you ONLY have the option to "Reset Progress" ... This restarts the GAME from the beginning. Period. You'll lose where you are; it is not a reload from checkpoint kind of thing like it seems.... sooooo...... yeah :(

Great game! Reminds me of Limbo and Inside. The concept is great. I just have one problem though. The ads sometimes don't load and the screen is forever stuck at Video Ad Loading.. I know developers need to show ads, but atleast make a feature to stop looking for them if they can't be found. And forcing the player to be online just to show them ads is a deal breaker for some. Other than that, the game is great!

It is exceedingly rare that I feel compelled to rate apps, however, the creativity and thoughtful design of this game is astounding. I cannot think of anything that I could compare it to. Thus puzzles are witty and the gameplay is difficult enough to be engaging. Admittedly, some of the maneuvering is difficult using a touchscreen, but that is a fleeting annoyance. Thank you for the excellent game!

Great Game! Definitely one of the best thrilling puzzle and mystery games out there. Would definitely recommend it! One problem though, the app keeps on crashing most of the time. It's getting pretty annoying. I hope the developers would notice this and would work on a fix. But until then, I'll give it a 3 star.

Good, but I wish there was more. The general design and concept are great and make for an enjoyable experience. I cannot rightfully fault the game for being too short, but I do wish there was more to it. The ending is very abrupt and some areas of the game seem like they could be more expansive in one way or another. Overall, I can recommend this game for anyone that likes some general word puzzle mixed with some platforming.

I bought this game just to show support to the indie developers (although they might've profitted more via ads). This is kind of a must play for all. Brilliant concept, great character building, great atmospheric design. The levels are challenging, the puzzles are smart and cool. A few complains for the mobile version; you could've added a home screen and a controller support since touch controls aren't the best thing to work with at challenging parts.
