I truly don't understand how anyone rents uhauls using this app. There are so many parts where it simply does not work and you can't get past a section. It won't upload any photos but won't let you move forward without an photo. It takes you in circles over and over again. We used several different phones (that are different brands) and yet could not upload photos or get through to the next step. This app is absolutely worthless.

The drop off feature in the app does NOT work! I made sure the app was up to date and tried dropping off the truck via the app. NO LUCK! I ended up having to leave the keys in the truck because it would not work. It kept asking me to take a picture of the speedometer, but it wouldn't upload it so I could not continue the process. I tried at least 6 times. In sure I'll be charged accordingly.

1. Unable to load photos (on two different android phones same issue. No issue on iphone or using browser). 2. If you missed your pickup time window, good luck figuring out what to do as buttons now lead nowhere. 3. The app is missing easy access to support or an faq, or any help before picking up. 4. Slow response and slow verification process.

Required for after hour returns, but doesn't work. I tried about a dozen times to upload photos for the return, and it never worked. Ended up just leaving the trailer at the store because I was tired, and the employees could deal with it in the morning. Not trying to catch a late return fee, but also not trying to get up at 5 am to return my rental. This is obviously an issue caused by having the lowest bidder be contracted to program the app. I expected better from a top 700 in USA corporation.

Pickup verification took 30m. Drop off validation didn't work and so I left the vehicle (should have tried the browser version). Called twice and spoke to someone, was told I wouldn't be charged the after hours fee. Was charged the $20 after hours fee anyway. The idea of this app is good. In a world with so much programming talent, I don't understand how this product could be screwed up this badly. Will reverse my rating if they fix this mess for the next time I rent.

Absolutely worthless! I can't even create an account with the app. It takes forever to enter dates, it can't verify phone numbers, and after entering a page full of information it says it can't update my information. Waste of 20 minutes. This app is absolute trash.

This app is horrible. So many features dont work. Order put in through app, email confirming order but the app doesn't even keep the order. Shows I've never ever had a uhaul order (12 times in 3 years). Search using reservation number show up a non existent. Do the same on the website and it comes up fine. Why have and app for the customer that is useless to the customer?!?!

Bad news app. It is without a doubt not ready for prime time. The app seems well laid out but it doesn't work. This leads me to believe that their system has yet to catch up with the app. U-Haul's IT system is extremely unreliable. Fortunately the on-site staff is very helpful and ready to finish completing your order.

Could not use the app to upload a photo of the returned equipment, which was the primary reason to download it. Failures with the app on multiple devices. I suspect a server error, but that's the case, we should be able to by-pass the photo requirement or at least get an error telling us why. Wasted ao much time trying to save time and do a self-return. Though it is a great idea for an app, I am not at all happy with the impact to my schedule it has caused me.

I highly suggest that you guys overhaul this app. During the process of returning one of your trucks, I was stuck on the mileage section because the picture would not load. It would act like it was going to attach, but it never did. After trying five times, I called their customer service for help. Through the automated system I was sent to a holding bay and was told I would receive help in 22 minutes. After 38 minutes and trying their live chat, no one answered me. Helpful tip, use a browser.

This is the worst, most broken app AND website I've ever used. It's useless. It will never let you change anything about your reservation unless you have a real human being do it. All of the info hyperlinks lead to 404 errors and it ended up wasting me over $100. I don't think I'll ever even go with U-Haul again because of this experience. I'm going to go cry now over the money i wasted when moving is expensive enough.

Always an issue with this POS app. I reserved ONE truck, the app reserved TWO. Now I can't return after hours because the stupid app won't accept ANY PHOTO TAKEN of the odometer and fuel gage. Now on hold for 20 minutes and counting with CS. I just want to return the damn thing and go home!!!

This app is terrible. After 20 minutes trying to upload my photo for return with it failing I tried calling customer support. Estimated wait time over 40 minutes, I used the browser version and it worked. I like the concept of what this app could be, just seems to fail on execution.

If I could give this app zero stars, I would. I lost two hours this morning since the page with the instructions to get the key didn't load in the app (had to call u haul customer service). I also lost 30 minutes on truck return since odometer picture wasn't uploading. Use the website instead

Imagine you just moved a couch down four flights of stairs. You return the van at 6 pm. It is past closing. You are frustrated and annoyed. Now you have to download this god forsaken app. It barely works. You can't put in the gas or mileage, at the very end you find out it thinks your tank is empty and charges 70 bucks. It won't let you upload a photo. It only lets you take one on the spot. The next day you find out that it didn't come through correctly as they wished. Spend a really long time waiting for customer service on both chat and on the phone. Issue resolved by wonderful customer service agents. Finally. Worst app evvvvvver.. Uhaul, PLEASE PLEASE fix. BOOOO

U-Haul makes nearly 5 billion dollars a year, and exactly $0 goes to the maintenance of this app. Just like all other reviewers, the app doesn't take pictures properly, and didn't even work in the browser on my phone. I had to wait in the truck an extra 30 mins to call customer service and have them finish my rental. Rep suggested I video the truck inside and out incase they want to come back with a claim against me, which is a smart idea, and I even videoed myself putting the key back.

Website does not let you continue from the 2nd screen when returning a trailer unless you answer that the trailer is NOT clean. If you answer Yes to say IT IS CLEAN the continue button is disabled. The android app doesn't even start.

This app is what nightmares are made of. The In person pick up and return took me 3 hours total and it still didn't function properly. It cut into 2 hours of my rental time just trying to pick up the van. Then when I tried to call customer service,I sat on hold for 45 minutes. I haven't been that frustrated In years. Even just thinking about it makes my blood boil.

This app never works when trying to return equipment whether it's a U-Haul box truck or a trailer. For the box truck you never able to put in the new mileage. For the trailer you're never able to take the picture showing that it's clean. Customer service can never do anything about it other than send you the technical support to try to make the app work. Trash all around!

This app is hit or miss. Lately, it's been the latter. Came here to read the reviews and not surprised at all. If everything worked, it would be a cool app. Way too many bugs. Y'all need a real time run through to see what needs fixing. For starters, I can't even view my current orders, when it was just working last week. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Next is not being able to return the truck via app due to faulty photo saving. I literally don't have enough characters to write everything wrong with this app.
