U.S. Open Golf Championship

Not useless, not great. The app does what it's supposed to do. The problem is, the live streams are terrible quality. I have 400mbps down, so it's not my connection. It is, however, free, with minimal commercials. Edit: after having it installed for a few more days, I'm editing my review. I had to subtract a star because, even though I turned off all notifications from the app, I still got several a day. That is unacceptable.

The shot by shot feature doesn't tell you how far it is to the hole. You can't tell if they just barely missed a shot or if they made a really long putt or what they're actually doing. It also likes to jump around as you're reading it. App should also have the ability to zoom in on the green so you can see where the flag is.

Whenever I go to maximize the in app video player, it tries to rotate the screen only to instantly rotate back to vertical orientation and stop playing the video. Maximizing is not possible at present. Not up to par when compared to the masters app.

Chromecast doesn't work, full screen stops working and won't allow you "back" into the app, and overall experience is cluttered. Sad that this continues to be the worst app of the golf majors and that is saying something.

Video constantly stops and requires users to press retry. Pause button doesn't disappear if you pause and play live action. Unlike the Masters app which is perfection, this requires additional work as it is still buggy. Appreciate the effort though

Fantastic app. Hopefully my little review will help spur USGA to do more of these. As a cable cutter, this app was a welcome respite. It was great to be able to watch Thursday and Friday play from my tablet since I don't have ESPN or the golf channel. It was fantastic to watch the big names (Tiger, Phil, etc.) play and really cool to watch Viktor Hovland too. Once Sat/Sun rolled around, the app was great for catching highlights of pretty much the entire field. Please do more of these!

Trash. Installed on my Fire tablet. Insisted on displaying only portrait even with auto rotate on and the tablet oriented landscape. When I tried to watch live action it showed a blank page and never showed anything. Uninstalled.

More like an AdWare app with a US Open theme than a US Open app, really poor in comparison to the Masters and USPGA apps. The leaderboard doesn't load half the time and I could do without receiving a million notifications telling me when a player I've favourited had moved from one practice area to another. 'Powered by Cisco' feels like a warming message these days, as anyone who has had the misfortune of using an app with their resource-hogging VideoGuard DRM garbage can attest.

classic usga. it's not hard to have a decent app, but they still manage to screw it up. the Masters app is the gold standard. Make it almost like it and you are set. instead we get this. I couldn't even find a leaderboard??

Very poor performing app. Not responsive. Scoring not loading by default. Why call it scoring instead of leaderboard? No UX considered. Nothing can beat last year's US masters app to date. This is appallingly bad!

I would give this is 0 Stars if I could. Garbage app, but what would I expect from the USGA? Can't stream live which is the whole reason I got the app. Doesn't work. Just spins and spins and never plays the video. All that's missing is the windmill and the clown's mouth.

Get rid of that annoying "Compare Players" tool that covers up the bottom two scores on the Leaderboard! That's a terrible design 🤮 at LEAST allow us to close it or turn it OFF.

Best app for any major so far, easily. Live streaming works with hardly a break. Leaderboard up to date. All round excellent.

works very well, love the videos. However, turned off all notifications in app settings and still got annoying notifications so uninstalled.

You guys can do better. This app is just so buggy. Can't cast it, won't always play when you load it, requires many restarts. Show more than just the featured groups. I can't watch Bryson? Wth?!

can't even find latest scores. poor. had to watch video clips - which are amazing - before the leader board would show.

Has scores etc like you can get on Google! The Watch now function doesn't work, the highlights section doesn't work. Not much point having it if you have the PGA app

The worst -- In 2020, I hope the USGA decides to offer a US Open app that actually works. For this year, if you like free & unlimited buffering, and having to force stop an app 6 times a day, you're in luck!

The update was terrible. Leaderboard is no where on the opening. You have to find it in the menu. The USGA will never get this right.

Terrible viewing experience. Constantly crashes, cannot cast to a television, dame add between every shot.

Worst app ever, no one cares about the featured groups on the weekends, watching some grind over a put for +7 when the leader is at -6 is dumb, then let's just stop coverage with the leaders still 3 holes out because the "featured" group is finished. They should be playing the live telecast so we can enjoy the tournament. Never again will I download this app.

Horrible connection issues make this app so frustrating I almost want to give the game up. Live leaderboard and favorites is an ok feature.

Live video and individual holes would never load. No point in having app if I couldn't watch when I was away from home. Useless.

Decent app but how do you turn off the extremely irritating pop up that allows you to compare 2 players? I can't work out how to do it. Hence the dropped star.
