Best way to use this app is to lock apps in particular time for the time that you might want to sleep for example. Use it in conjunction with Night Light, scheduled DND and Sleep for Android app with Captcha (QR code in washroom). Also, when you do wake up early, it should start with chained habit and it should include Me Time.
This app is honestly pretty great but I think a big issue is that when you completely lock your phone, there isn't a way to turn off the feature. It completely overrides every other function other than messages, contacts, and other communication related apps. However, it also prevents you from certain other areas of your phone such as settings, Google, and in my case, putting in my password for my voicemail and instead goes back to the locked-out screen.
The idea here is solid. but this app did a lot of sketchy things that make me think it's participating in ad fraud of some kind: playing mysterious audio in the background. (sometimes multiple copies of looping audio) displaying ads in the app that were not even in my character set. demanding permission to EVERYTHING on my phone. This was a very sketchy experience. I strongly suspect this is not a secure app.
Simple, fast, precise, and a great use. I wanted to suggest adding some excluded apps when locking the phone. I sometimes lock my phone but would want to access my meditation apps for calculater and such but I can only use communication apps. I have tried to find options to exclude certain apps but months later and I still can't find the place where I can do so. Could you tell me where , it would be great if its visible at the same page of the phone lock which will make the ui easier.
The idea behind this app is awesome and it works relly well. Still there are some very critical loop holes that needs to be corrected. App lock will work only when the app is running in the background. You can easily clear the memory amd use the apps again normally. Edit: Thanks for considering my feedback. Corrected the rating.
Quick clean option of android disables the app. It's very annoying
The app is mostly great, but there is one problem I can't seem to overcome. I want to be able to access "settings" on my phone, especially bluetooth even when the phone is locked, but I can't seem to be able to designate "settings" as an available app. If there is any way around this, please let me know. If not, please update the app so that "settings" can be listed as an available app when the phone is locked. Thank you.
It's a good app but there is a problem in it. When I activate lock now and put some apps in whitelist , I can easily deactivate it through the button that get the widgets and delete all apps I opened including ubhind and I find that I returned to home screen and like I didn't activate the app.I hope you fix this problem.
The concept of this app is excellent but I remain unimpressed by its execution. The interface is not very streamlined, theres inrusive ads just about whenever you wanna close the app, theres some minor broken English which tells me this app was made by a very small team. They charge microtransactions for some features, so the full version isnt technically free.
The app is useless. At first when I lock an app for a few hours , it keeps working for maybe an hour or two then suddenly when I open the phone I find that the app has been unlocked although the time I made hasn't finished yet and the same happens when I lock the phone. Briefly, The basic function stops working for no reason. Every single time this happens, I open the app and it asks me to give it the Accessibility permission, I swear to god that I gave it the permission many times but still....
I used to love this app, it was amazing, but now it doesn't work properly anymore. I tried everything: updated the app, checked the permissions and the usage access, but it just doesn't work anymore. Edited: the issue is related to the lock function.
A really nice app...I like that when you lock the phone...you still have access to make calls and messaging and important stuff....it is good for emergency..also I like the feature of locking only certain apps . A great app if you wanna prevent using your phone for long periods
It's such a powerful tool with many settings i actually quite like but there's something that would make it perfect could you please add an "hide icon when locked" option? i somehow still manage to uninstall it when it's lock time real quick, but with that option it will make it harder.. thanks alot!
Amazing, stopped me completely from using my phone! I recommend asking someone to set a password for you so you don't know it, and not allowing yourself settings so you can't deactivate the display over other apps feature. THANK YOU!
Useless app. For a start I can only see today's and yesterday's data unless I opt for the paid version, and secondly I obviously don't want the app obscuring the work I'm doing, yet if I set it not to hover like a pop over, i cant access aby data at all. I've certainly not seen anything that persuades me to invest in the paid vwrsion.
The most accurate program possible with the best timings. It's really wonderful and I've advised people, I installed it on different phones for about four years and it's been and is the most confident. It's not an emotional text, it's the perennial experience of someone who is interested in accurate numbers and apps like that! This app is very good. i can give it 5 stars, but i didn't because it has a bug. it sometimes freezes and stop observing anything. i have to forcefully stop this app and run it again to make it working. kindly fix this issue. Thank you
Annoying date and time notification. My time is fine but it keeps notifying me its not. Edit: The problem was with my phone not the app. This app is better than most time tracker apps because the UI doesent have as much clutter.
Good but, It is not possible to edit the data that I want, so it should be added the editing function. The data that I have kept turning on while I have slept, so the app recognized as using, but it's not using in real.
Not working properly. I have selected some apps to be used when my phone is locked but those apps just dosn't open. I have been using Ubhind for a long time this issue never happened and now it is happening, irritating me alot so i have to uninstall it.
So I started this app at like 8 PM, it started counting from there. I also tried the app lock by usage time. Opened the app and saw it said 29 minutes and 57 seconds left(I set the app usage for 30 minutes). Why is this the only app I've tried similar to Digital Wellbeing without including the past history?
Honestly this app is the best thing on the market. I'm a therapist and I work with people with phone addictions. There is no app that's better than this. The existence of apps like this in fact is the reason I'm on the Android system and not the Apple system, which does not allow these sorts of functionalities.
I have used most of the app blockers and so far this is the best.Please include the option for profiles so that different apps can be blocked at different time and an option for setting a wallpaper instead of the blue screen edit-thanks for the reply.found these options 😇
Good but would like it more if it was more interactive, could trigger lock based on- 1. Number of Unlocks in a day. 2. Hourly Usage. If these are fixed, it would be a staple for me.
Since Google apps is being glitchy and not letting edit my old review, here's a new one. It took the app a few days to process my purchase, but now I have all my old data on my new phone. Very pleased with this app, thank you.
Ok so I thought this was foolproof to lock out the phone or digital detox and force offline time however the workaround is the "buy 500 points for emergency unlock" which I do not see an option to disable.. which after you buy it then you can easily access settings and delete the app Edit: I still like this app over any other screen limiter app and have changed it to 4 stars. The trick to uninstall it after restarting phone no longer works and I hope they make an option to turn off points
