Ubuntu Style Launcher

A clean crisp app with a nice feel about it. Seems to play nicely with all the other apps. A good level of customisation is possible. I notice a few people praising the app but complaining about the adds. If you like it so much get the add free version it is very good value although there were not so many adds as some inferior products. The short cut buttons tend to go behind widgets when they are first created if the system widget is at the top of the screen. This just requires a little fix.

Easily, the best launcher I've used. It's unique and unlike any other of the "normal" launchers out there, it really gives a good desktop-like experience (I don't even use Ubuntu!). Would be 5/5 if the left side bar was more intuitive to add apps & if there could be more than 8 (i.e., apps go down the whole column, maybe even w/ scroll function for more apps)

Pros: I really like the look and feel, worth a star. I have a 6.5" screen and can get 55 icons on it. You can change 6 of the Task-bar icons. Changing widget size is easy. If you replace their File Manager you can still get at their's using the recycle bin. Cons: You only have 1 screen. There are only 9 icons on the Task-bar which is less than half of the bar and no more can be added. Widget "float", if you add icons and have widgets on thew screen the icons may appear behind the widget.

Only just started using the app. I think it is brill. Very simple and clean. I do not know if it is in my head or not. But I am convinced my other apps are more responsive / zero lag. Goggle maps is proper fast. I paid the 89p to remove ads.

Really clean and simple desktop like experience. I'm using it to replace the ram hungry launcher that came with my android tv box. So far, it works great. It's super light on the device which is excellent. Really happy with this app.

Just what I was looking for! Only thing that would be nice is to be able to move the dock and widget slider so I could switch sides. I realize the dock on the left is original Ubuntu, but it's anti-intuitive for right-handed use.

I purchased the app. Can someone please explain to me how to rearrange, add and remove icons from the side launcher on the home screen? I also would like to be able to keep my navigational buttons visible while interacting with the desktop. Please advise and I will adjust my rating accordingly.

Sudo apt-get uninstall Ubunutu_Style_launcher Status bar overlaps the built in one instead of replacing it. File explorer has extremely limited functionality, half of the options just get errors. Very cute concept, and as close to having a ubuntu device as you'll get without buying a specific device and rooting it. I think this could be a great way to get people to try the real ubuntu with a little more work.

It is the best launcher I have ever gotten to now I can settle down in peace and scroll my phone but one thing I called a problem is not to be able to add apps to the side of the launcher panel But overall it's an amazing app Great job guys and a little bug Everytime I open my phone and the launcher her starts it tells me error: problem setting up in-app Billing: lab result: error checking for Billing v3 support.(response:3: billing unavailable ) And promt me okay button And hope u fix that

I love this launcher! It is so sleek and user friendly. I would suggest allowing to add favorites on left default bar! Additionally, the picture icon for me will open my galley but when I choose a picture to see it automatically sets as background photo!

That was a great experience. But the app wouldn't change the actual theme, and we have to open the app, to see the change, everytime. Overall, a great work.

Haven't fully experienced the full functionalities of this app yet, my apologies for this, as i'm trying to make this tablet user friendly for more than one person it's difficult to find a functional as the age gap between father and i is... Well beyond comparison... I have to frustrate myself to make sure he can find every little quirky thing that bothers him, oy moy... And this is a little early for me to answer such a question, maybe i just have issues! Enjoy your day!

Here goes,I usually don't post reviews but, this is a pretty nice launcher, it's nice and clean, simple but I like that I can get to my other apps very quickly. I like a clean screen not cluttered; think I've been using it going on two days now, so far no complaints.

It is the best, but I want to see some more features like terminal. And please let us change order of left menu, and when activities opens I like to search directly instead of clicking then searching.

I'm digging this launcher so much! The only suggestion I have so far is please add the ability to add more apps on the menu bar. Otherwise, perfect!

I really like this launcher! But there are two problems as I see it. One, you need to be able to add more apps to the side bar. Second, some of my widgets are not working properly.

Not great, the UI doesn't seem to be customizable. No animations, not very dynamic, needs some work.

No joke beautiful setup much appreciated for the hard work and dedication that it took to get this up and out for the pub to sinfully admire..... Now the hard part playing around to figure out everything... Alsi it looks to be authentic....!!!!!!!

Great launcher. Smooth interface. Possible improvements: ability to add to dock, remove home page header, remove text from icons, add shortcuts for keyboards (e.g. BB, titan)

I like the original default Ubuntu look. Then I changed the wallpaper. After that I can not get that original default grey background of Ubuntu launcher. How to restore Ubuntu launcher to its default grey background? If this problem is solved then I will purchase ad-free version.

I love this Launcher very beautiful. I have 3 request. 1. Please add FTP 2. Network View 3. The storage dock we can only see the internal please add external storage also. Thanks.

I like this launcher. The interface is very user friendly and does a amazing job at mimicking the desktop interface on your phone. If the operating system ubuntu is anything like this launcher then I'm uninstalling windows and installing Ubuntu on my computer immediately.

It would be great if you could have multiple workspaces just like any linux distro (and most Android launchers) and if you could easily add, remove and arrange items on the left bar.

It's super awesome... Better than other launcher apps, where you have to download the additional APK for a theme. Now, is there a paid version to remove the ads? That's the only use

Too many ads. Bad display quality. When I stopped using this launcher and started usong the default one, it changed my background to some Ubuntu style purple thing.

You have to pay micro transactions to change every setting in this app. You can't even move the taskbar to the bottom edge without paying.

Nice and cleaning looking launcher. Great that its feels alot like Ubuntu. Only wish you could add apps to task bar and that folder weren't limited to 17 apps.

Looks good. File manager is only for looks. Wont install apk files or open movies. If you fix it so that it at least opens system players or pkg installer or pdf reader ill buy it.
