UCCW - Ultimate custom widget
Customization is often a difficult process, but not with UCCW. Just install a skin, and tell UCCW to show it or make your own skin.
UCCW offers a WYSIWYG (What-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor allowing to customise layout, fonts, images, shapes, etc.

Issues:
Widget not updating 1. UCCW may be killed by task killers. So exclude UCCW in task killers.2. Could be a launcher app issue; Try a different launcher.
Getting force closes 1. Uninstall UCCW and install again.2. Check if Force closes are occuring with a particular skin; discard that skin.3. Send a logcat if force closes continue.
Skins do not show 1. Google play skins may not appear for some custom roms or if screen density is changed.

Love it! I was looking for a notes widget but couldn't find one that lets you make a clear background sticky note that can easily be edited. Came upon this and it is even better than I dreamed! My affirmation looks like it's part of my background now!😀 Thx devs for an awesome app!! Suggestion.. maybe in the future we could use font apps with it? Not sure if something prevents this or not.
I really enjoy using this app because I'm really particular about how my home screens are themed, and I want everything to match. I've been able to create some really awesome stuff through uccw. This latest update, however, seems to have bugged out the stock weather fetching on my phone, as it's only accurate once in a while. For example: Currently it's saying it's 91 degrees and snowing. I assure you that it's not.
Amazing customization options available! This is one of the very few apps that actually allows you to customize your widget interface completely. My issue, on a Galaxy S10, is that the widgets stop refreshing on their own, making my weather widget absolutely worthless. I have to manually remove the widget and place it back on there to get it to update, something that should definitely not be happening, even after verifying that the built-in battery saving options are not applying to UCCW. 😔
It's not worth it. The time and battery widget doesn't show the correct time. It always gets stopped on the time when I last opened the app. I always need to open the app for resetting it. Also, the blank widget is not working properly. The photos that I add on the blank widget doesn't have the same picture quality as the real picture. It gets distorted and it really feels bad. Also, if you could add a option for curving the corners of the widget, then that would be great. Fix it all please!!
UPDATE! 😁 Still loving this! I'm confused how anyone can complain? U I very clean, never any glitches, and I'm not sure I've seen an ad?Obviously must not had stuck in my head long enough? It you take the time, like "background button" and click on wallpaper, it makes the main background on screen your wallpaper, (transparent), if you click on "objects", then you can customize every detail! -- I'm loving this app!! It's absolutely awesome!! My phone gets to look unique and stylish! TY Dev!
It's nice, has a bit of a learning curve. Has ads but you can pay to remove them and get more customization options. The issue I've been having is the app icon image getting stuck in the middle of my home screen which is really annoying. I can't remove it as it isn't recognized as a widget. I have a Samsung S9 if that's important
App is great, but last update introduced major issues. 1. Weather system broken. Now showing as 100°F when it's 38°F. Added OWM key, no change. 2. Time it takes for widget to load on startup has increased by a lot. Used to only be a few seconds, now takes up to a minute. 3. Persistent notification that app needs permission to run in background. Clicking notification did nothing, checked app settings, run in bg already enabled. Had to disable app's notification permissions to make it go away.
Spent about 30 minutes customizing a clock widget template. Decided to turn my device sideways to see if that would help with the horrible object movement function, and everything reset back to default. I thought it would be cool to have some custom widgets, but that was just a waste of time.
Love this app, but can't get night weather icons to show up on this new version. Only shows daytime icons. Have the folder like it says. Even pulled the weather icon folder out of the apk and tried that as custom. everything works on older versions. Has the format changed? How to get night weather icons working. Thank you for fixing night weather bug very fast. Great app. Support for animated images would be awesome.
I've been using this app pretty faithfully for a few years now. Widget customization is exactly what I was looking for, but every Samsung update cripples it more and more. It's gotten to the point where the widget doesn't update at all until I open the main app, despite having all the permissions turned on. It has become functionally worthless, the updates aren't fixing anything, and the devs don't seem to be acknowledging this is a problem. Goodbye UCCW. Hello KWGT.
Best app I downloaded!! Very easy to use and has great features. My story: I wanted to make a simple widget, and this was the first app I saw. And as I was making my widget I realized the scope of the app.. over the last 3 days, from a boring android phone. I would argue my home screens look one of the best, that I could sell it as a skin. I realized I could just make any custom app icons to my desire. I would complain about the apps limitations, but there is wayy more good than bad!.
Nice! You can use others widgets and even make your own. Minimal ads, usually only five seconds long and don't interrupt. No bugs or flaws. Its fun to play with when you've got some time on your hands or love home screen customization.
I LOVE THIS APP!! but there is one problem. When I try to make widgets with curved edges, it makes the remaining background black. and when I try to put the widget on the home screen, those black things are still there. Please fix this.
Actually this app isn't bad! It's such a great app for photo widgets and it also has it's own widget theme too! the only thing I dont like about the app is that whenever I restart my phone, all the photo widgets on my phone that I added were gone, it only says "UCCW" Then I have to make my photo widgets AGAIN pls fix this problem ;-; But other than that it's a great app and so u can make your home screen how u wanted it to be! I super recommend this app it's the best! ^^
Didn't even get a chance to use it... Read the reviews, downloaded it, installed it, ran it for the first time, then read through the EULA and immediately said NOPE. Seems like a cool app, but the mandatory permissions and Ad Intrusions, especially by a violator such as AdMob, is a huge red flag. Plus, any app that has both Ads AND In-App Purchases is a big turn away as well. Best of luck, but uninstalling.
I got extremely tired of relaunching the app several times a day just to reset the frozen clock that no longer updates on it's own like it's supposed to. Uninstalled UCCW and switched to the KWGT app, and everything on that one works great! Don't waste your money on the pro version of UCCW like I did.
Hello, VasuDev. I have a great positive opinion for this app, though most rates are negative. This simple app allows reasonably good widget creating, its not difficult to understand because the menus are simple. One suggestion for hotspot: manual adjustment of height/width and maybe different shapes of hotspot(especially for the skin with circular weather and clock). One more thing: import widgets from devices (low ram optimisation plz my phicomm i600 has less than 50mb ram available for apps)
Roll back to when it used to work properly please. my clock either doesn't update when I charge my phone, or it just doesn't update at all. The clock widget also doesn't properly load. Also, I didn't have to have it running in the background before, why now? I paid some skin packs that required uccw, and now that you don't work properly, I wasted my money. Dollars yes, but wasted money nonetheless.
Unfortunately this app has become entirely too glitchy and I've had to delete it. It was fully updated and yet i have to go in and re add images etc to widgets every 2 days just for them to show up. Very time consuming, very frustrating, ultimately not worth having the app.
To me, this is a must have app on all my android devices. I am a programmer anyway, but this just makes making neat custom widgets easy enough to do in my sleep. The only thing I would like to see added is to allow a hotspot to open a website URL, that would just complete it for me so I could make widgets for all my frequented browser pages too! Thanks for the kickass app.
I've been using this app to manage the appearance of my home screen for many years now. Unfortunately, something in the last update broke it, and now I have to force close and manually restart it at least once a day. Very frustrating after so many years of good service.
Really good. Lots of customisations and works smoothly. I encountered some problems with hotspots unfortunately: I have multiple hotspots in my widget, and when I tap on one, it works only once, and all of the hotspots are kind of "disabled" after that until I reload the widget... Regardless of that, the rest is really cool. I would like more possibilities with text formatting (like mixing 2 objects variables in one (ex: "calendar event hour + event name" so they move relative to eachother)).
Great widget customization app with alot of potential! Only hiccups are weather elements not updating (current temp, humidity, weather icon set). Even tho I purchased, sometimes ads still show, especially on the 'Quit App' dialog box. Otherwise great!
Good app... I just got a new phone and I wanted my new phone widgets to be layed out using my custom Evangelion theme skin from uccw that I downloaded last year.. I got the new phone note 10+ , but unfortunately had to redownload the evangelion uccw theme and the media utilities app, then I had to custom map out each icon and place them on the screen they way it was on my old phone.. it would be nice to have a feature that would save your entire layout with other apps that u used together
Best widget app I've ever found, and I'm being truthful. I can add whatever I want to my home page, whether it be a character or some writing. It's great if you have a sense of style. But it can get difficult to use, because you can customize it so much. Sometimes I have to redue one just to get it to be big enough or fit, but it's just stuff you gotta deal with. Good app, 10/10.
