UCD Mobile
UCD staff & students, together with alumni, prospective students and visitors now have a handy way to stay connected to UCD. Owners of smart phones and other mobile devices can now download a free application ‘UCD Mobile’ that puts the University in the palm of their hand.
There is a wealth of information available through the new app which delivers real-time news and services. For example, at the touch of a button you can see where exactly you are on campus and find the building you’re looking for with the interactive Maps service. The latest University News and updates are available via the News feature which contains a number of news categories to choose from including the University Noticeboard. There is a Directory service that not only shows staff contact details but links to the map service directing users to the contact’s address on campus.
The Events Calendar will keep you in touch with the many activities and events taking place on campus and the Sports module with subdivisions for various sports and men’s and women’s teams will keep fans up to date with the latest scores and fixtures.
Blackboard Mobile Learn gives you direct access to Blackboard content, announcements and much more.
The Videos feature brings you a wide variety of student and faculty produced videos including lectures from various programmes.

Slow and bad UI
Most of this app's functions require it to open the browser and direct to the relevant page on the UCD website.
I cannot manage my email from this app
A ucard balance check section would be great
This app is great and you do have loads of suggestions for other features but please try to make the size smaller and make it movable to an SD card.
Had to delete loads to download it and now it wont even open!!! :(

Can't even install this, it's 17.6 megs and has to live on the handset.
I agree with Hugh, this app is way too large + it cannot be moved to the SD card. I had to delete it.
Fairly useful app. However, can you please try do something about the size of this thing? It's by far the largest app on my phone and it cannot be moved to my SD card. Considering deleting this. I don't even have enough room for the updates to work. Don't suggest I buy a new/better phone, I'm obviously a student.

can not be downloaded by certain phones on android market such as Sony Ericsson x8

Good app but should definately have gmail and timetables set up by September at least.

Your UCD email account would make this a one stop shop for college life! I think it would be a handy one!!
Keeps crashing when I try to book the gym. Definitely needs to be reprogrammed to say that it is booked instead of crashing if that is the reason (and needs to be fixed regardless).
