Udacity - Learn Programming

An excercise in frustration. I want to love this app but there are so many issues. I have been sending bug report after bug report but somethings are not bugs but just lacking design. One of them being if you rotate the screen, you may lose your place in the video and you need to find your place. There is no way to disable background playback. I switch out of the app to look up something and it keeps playing the video, so then I have to pause. Video is meant to be watched, not heard. It never remembers where I am in the course. I have to read the course sections, pick one, then I get list of modules which are displaying incorrectly, and keep clicking in and out then seeking the videos to find my last place. I would say skip but there is no other app that can access this material. App stops functioning often. Have to constantly clear it from memory and reload. Buttons failing to work, fields disappearing.

So far my experience with the app was good. I could download and all the lessons for my Nanodegree. Group chat had a bit of a lag though. On the negative side when I wanted to buy more courses within the app by pressing enroll now or buy the app started scrolling through the page rather than take me to the landing page where I can actually make a purchase. There was a blank space where presumably the pay button was supposed to be. Whether it is a bug or a lag it is counterproductive.

there are some bugs in the new update, 1. Whenever I take a quiz, or exercise, the app hangs and I forced to go back and come back to the course, 2. And also if I reach lesson 12 it's playing with 9 or something like that, 3. And also video quality is very high by default, and I can't change default setting, I forced to go on every video and check video quality again and again, otherwise my internet limit will be end very quickly.

I love following course contents from my mobile, so thanks for this app. But app almost always have some bugs. For the moment, it keeps asking my birthday everytime I launch the app. This was fixed in a previous update, and now the bug returned. I'm learning app development from Udacity and it's disappointing to see frequently bugs in Udacity's own app!

The app is elegant and very useful to learn on the go and also I don't have to go to PC everytime I want to continue with a course. A only bug is that the next & previous buttons won't work after I submit a quiz and the progress don't get updated until I close and reopen the app.

they have created many tutorials on android, yet their own app is bad. when you go to downloaded lessions, and click on the detail page, all the items have fixed size instead of wrap_content. Even if you are fixing it, fix it , but atleast content should be visible. here the title itself is not visible.

Udacity is providing the valuable Android tutorials by collaborating with Google, but they failed to design their apps upto the mark with standards. I downloaded the apps to view the contents in offline. But the list of videos which is showing in the form of listview is totally bad design to view the name of the file.

Courses don't open. I just get a toast message stating 'loading...' and nothing happens. I thought it was a wifi issue but videos from other learning apps played smoothly. I like the content of Udacity better but I'm forced to use desktop for Udacity or use other apps on mobile.

The content of this app is very useful and easy to learn the languages but there is one thing I am unable to play the downloaded videos in offline mode only some of contents can be playable Please make a changes so that the content can be fully played even in offline mode.

you have a bug, when there is a quiz question and submit button is clicked, all the buttons becomes unresponsive. to return to previous clickable state, requires to kill the process in memory. please fix it, it really annoys.

Great app! Although they have nothing on the one thing that picked my interest the most... "digital marketing!" I do hope you guys work on the free courses for that. I'd really love to learn more about digital marketing using your app cause it's user friendly

As some other reviews mentioned, the app constantly asks for my DOB. Furthermore, it's very glitchy - the quizzes often don't work and the progress is not being tracked correctly which makes the app very annoying to use.

Material provided in the courses is available on the Udacity website and not on the Android App . Why ? Also, it has a lot of bugs. You can play two videos simultaneously , with their sounds heard together !

Very hard to solve quiz on the app. You have to tap 3-4 times to select an option on the app. Given the amount of money udacity charges for its contents the app definitely needs to be improved.

1 star is just for the App and not the courses. The App contains only video, not even the full text found in same page when opened on Web Browser. The over-simplification of App has resulted in lack of information.

The app only downloads some of the videos in the course. Therefore, it uses my whole data plan while watching the videos. Furthermore, the process hardly syncs with the webpage process.

This hasn't been updated since November of last year (2018) and they are still selling courses to students. Not sure why they think it is okay to charge the prices they do and not keep available resources working.. I can't even use this app, nothing loads. Completely useless...

The app does not update/synchronize itself with the progress done by user when using the internet. I have emailed the team and they didn't bother replying not even after 2 weeks.

I love to have this App but I wasn't updated since many years , it's difficult to open exercise and projects of Neno degree . Plus now if I would uninstall accidentally I won't found it on Google Play Store. Is it just me anyone else who is facing this problem , because I'm using marshmallow android phone. I'm disappointed 😔 please bring update as soon as possible. 🥲

The login through Google and Facebook is completely broken. I'm taking courses through Georgia Tech's OMSCS and previously used Facebook login to connect to my account as the mobile app didn't support Georgia Tech auth. Taken 9 courses and now I get the, "this account is not associated, would you like to create it?" dialog, which doesn't work. Given this app hasn't been updated since Nov 2018, I'm assuming it isn't going to be fixed.

When I want to connect app with Google account it says that I need to create account. When I did that and try to log in, it says invalid credentials. And it happens on my every device. Well done.

I am not able to sign in always saying you have account for whatever email I use. I tried Facebook, two different gmails. also doesn't send password reset email if any. so disappointed never expected from Udacity to have crappy app.

Love Udacity's courses but this app is really annoying to use. Asks for my DOB every single time I open it. Half the time it it doesn't load the lecture content properly either. Really disappointing.

In early November I paid for a course, but due to a typo in yhe email address it was added to the wrong email address. So in the middle of November, Grace from Student Services, emailed back saying I will be issued a full refund. It is now almost the middle of December and I have yet to receive the refund. Grace no longer responds to my email.

The app content is good but video loads slowly even when we are having 4G/wifi internet on and also there is some issue in landscape mode of video. Don't know what is the issue by the way my mobile is Mi Redmi 5a on which all this issues happening.

App won't log in using a Google account, and provides a prompt to create an account instead. Not a great look for an app that's supposed to teach you to build apps, amongst other things.
