UE BOOM

I was very happy with this speaker. But since the ability to turn off the remote Bluetooth power on "feature" was REMOVED my opinion of this product and it's app has plummeted. Every time I want to use my speaker it's out of power because it does not turn off thanks for this "feature". Every. Dam. Time. I have had to sideload an old version of the app to be able to disable this stupid "feature" and leave the app uninstalled, it's the only way to make the speaker any good again.

Not very useful. The EQ is functional, and welcome given the speakers sound signature, but your player should be able to do that as well. Allows the coupling of multiple speakers but I imagine few use that. Allows firmware update of the speaker. These are the only three real functions of this app. The volume management of the speaker is poor with very poor granularity especially at low levels. All the volume control in the app does is change your phone's output volume, which is utterly useless.

It simply isn't user friendly. Maybe they should ask a good UX designer for some customer research and advice. Also technically it does not work well. It took me hours to connect two speakers simultaniously so that both played and in stereo. Brand new speakers require a firmware update first. But you can't select them successively for the update if both are connected... It was a really nasty user experience. And I would not be surprised, if at next startup I will need to repeat it all.

I bought two speakers. Party up mode is amazing. Very Simple to syc both speakers. The app even let's you adjust the left or right speaker for balance depending whet you place them. Another Very neat feature is that you can turn them on from your phone without even touching them. My only grievance is the latency when using them to watching videos (slight sound delay). Overall, very good app and speakers.

Loved my speaker until I downloaded the app. With the recent update making my music skip, is literally infuriating. However I found a fix to the issue. Delete the app. Do a factory reset by holding the power button and the volume down button for 5 seconds. Reconnect and you should be good. Still skips a little bit for me but no way near as much as before. I hope they fix this issue ASAP! otherwise I'm selling and moving to something else. been a loyal to ue since they came out. Not happy.

I have no idea what these last few negative reviews are referring to you. (I've never come across the issues they have). I have had the UE Boom Speakers and app since 2017. Works perfectly for me. Some tips in case anyone needs them if your speaker is below 30% battery. It will continue to disconnect your Bluetooth. It needs to be hooked up to your charger or charged over 30%. Also, I've found success in keeping the speaker sounds off. I never get delays.

Edit: They brought all of the features back that was removed for a while... equalizer, alarm.. Thank you! App works better with the UE Boom speakers as well. Not much of a use since the new update. They basically stripped most of the features and there's almost nothing left of it. It's too bad, it's former versions were really nice.

The app is unreliable at connecting and staying connected. It's necessary to get the speakers paired correctly. So I retry repeatedly with power cycles and app reboots until they are paired. And then hope that they stay paired and don't lose connection at important times when I'm using the speakers. I've contacted support and they said that they expect the app will be updated if they keep getting complaints about it. But for the moment its the worst part of my experience with the speakers.

OK. I really like the ability to turn on the speaker remotely, and also to turn off the speaker's notification sounds. However, the equalizer settings don't really have the effect I would expect (it seems that "increasing" a range of frequencies only decreases the volume of the other frequencies). The one-touch Spotify playlist doesn't work (nothing happens when holding down the "magic" button). The interface overall seems clunky.

It's very complex to link several speakers and that's very disappointing. Actually I've never been able to link my both Megaboom 3 speakers. Could anybody tell me how??. The App is very slow, it takes a while to change the settings on the app and the equalizer... :( Very disappointing for being 2022!!

UDATE THE APP! Any phone newer than Oct 29 2020 (last time app was updated) it doesn't work. Specifically cut outs, static, crackling noises after 5 minutes of use! Do not get these speakers if you own a newer android until it is optimized. Older androids do work. I use my tab s6 and it works perfectly fine. When I use my note 20 ultra, it's terrible. Pairing issues, sound issues just overall bad experience and DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU OWN IPHONE.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THIS SPEAKER!!! This is terrible. Every single time you have to keep restarting your phone for this app to work. And when you are not having to restart your phone there is a big delay. You will go to turn up or down the volume with the app and nothing so you then use the volume key on the phone. 2 minutes later the volume is going up and down according to how hit it on the app 2 minutes prior. This app makes these speakers junk and not worth buying.

The app itself looks good, but when trying to turn on a speaker it struggles to find it. It forces you to go to your bluetooth setting and connect there. I shouldn't have to manually connect my speakers everytime I use them. It makes the app totally useless. Plus the party up feature is totally broken. I spend half the night trying to get three speakers to party up. then after working for a bit they randomly start playing out of sink. I love the speakers. They seriously need to work on the app.

Even the cheap one can connected to as many devices as it can...but this expensive one can only connect one. Each time I want to switch to my mobile phone only make me panic and anger. Also, it was easy to connect in my pc but for the mobile phone was another story. With the app, it will only let you go back to your bluetooth page, ask you to connect then return. The speaker and audio was good but the bluetooth connection was disaster. Also, the loud sound when on and off, annoying n disturbing

Its pointless. Its an app. But it has you either using other apps or downloading other apps, such as deezer, spotify & amazon music to access your play list. So you need an app to use an app? The only other thing it offers in the app is the ability to tap your phone's screen to change the volume... Yeah, the buttons to adjust the volume are on my phone, so.... ...yeah, the whole thing is just stupid! Basically the app just takes up space on your phone.

Garbage can user interface. Makes it super hard to connect 2 speakers at the same time. Every time you activate the Bluetooth it chirps at you to make sure your app is open and connected to the Internet. O f course it's open and connected to the Internet. It's just a stupid way to set up the software. You'd think the idiots would fix it.

Speaker hardware is phenomenal. But recently the software of both the speaker and app is getting worst. No software update for the speaker and the ability to connect with 3 phones on the app has been removed. My speaker recently is also giving issues probably because of the software on speaker side because my speaker that is low on battery and after plugging it in it jumped from low battery to 100% in less than a second. That's faster than charging a tesla. Seems like Logitech has given up on UE

one of the few apps of it's kind that actually work. finding out how to remove speakers from the app took me a while to figure out... have to swipe left in the list. also: where is the setting to disable remote activation? i fear this is the cause why my hyperboom's battery is always drained empty! also: partyup volume is fixed: cant increase volume seperately on only 1 speaker

I love the sound of these speakers. And my friends who hear them are impressed. That's until one of the speakers disconnects when in Party Up mode, and then it's just embarrassing. I have to keep reconnecting. It will stay connected for about 4 to 5 minutes, then disconnect again. Occasionally it will eventually hold, but it's frustrating getting to that point. I'm assuming that maybe this isn't a priority for Logitech? You know, the idea of providing a quality product?

I have 2 Megaboom 3s and a Hyperboom, and when this app works, they sound fantastic together in PartyUp mode. I can't fault the speakers, but unfortunately this app lets the side down. It's glitchy and buggy, and it's often very difficult to get the speakers to pair - and when they do, they often drop out for no apparent reason. It's extremely frustrating. Considering the app is central to usability with multiple speakers, it's a real shame it's so unreliable - I hope it improves soon.

The newer version of this app is garbage. I don't like the fact that I have to go into a seperate screen to change the volume and when I do change the volume theres some bad lag between the speaker and the app. It takes forever and when you do get it turned up its blaring or when you turn it down it goes too low. The old app you were able to use this function with no problems what so ever. Any help would be appreciated
