UE Smart Radio Controller

One day all is well then without warning all stops can't synchronise radios won't play at all unless you un synchronise radios

Some features need enhancing . Longer buffer, selectable timeout duration, and allow it to word covers cell network not just WiFi. In today's world phones can use VPN to get back covers a cell network and this is not supported unless you are in a WiFi mode. It does work though but its not always simple to find free WiFi

I've had this for a year and there's never been an attempt to fix the many glaring bugs this app has. Sadly use of the radio suffers as a result as there's no other way to use it remotely. A clumsy, barely functional attempt that would prevent me from recommending the Smart Radio to anyone.

Ever since UE firmware replaced Squeezebox firmware, I can no longer use a web browser to control my radio and that's a shame, because this app has so many issues. It's consistently inconsistent in regards to what the "back" button does. sometimes it goes back a menu, sometimes it exits the app, sometimes it will go back to the main home menu. It's infuriating if I'm searching for something on Rhapsody and every time I try to go back a menu it does something different.

Like a previous reviewer said you have to change the view in the favourites list. When you do a search you can see a details list, but once you add something to favourites its hopeless because the cover that is generated for the favourite station has nothing to do with the station, it simply takes the song cover which has no use 4 minutes later. Poor app in truth, it just about does the job until you need it to be more robust. No updates in a year is worrying, i'd strongly recommend against buying this device until these issues are fixed because you've a great product but you don't seem to care about your users in letting them use it.

My experience with UE Smart Radio has completely turned me away from buying Logitech products. The UE Smart Radio application is a mess. The user interface is confusing, and mostly it simply doesn't work. The fact that Logitech forces you to depend on their cloud services is also terrible.

In years of using Android apps this has to be the worst. Doesn't connect with the radio no matter what. Logitech is another company with superb hardware and lousy software, the first being Samsung. Guys here's a tip - focus on what you do best, outsource the software to India!

Two huge missing features that have been in SqueezePlayer for years... 1) Ability to turn on and off individual players. 2) Independently and also globally adjust the volumes. It's a visually appealing app if you like simplicity, but the features are horribly lacking. Having just upgraded 6 squeezeplayers, i'm probably going to downgrade them again so I can get these features back and un-orphan my Boom. Logitech, you really screwed this one up.

Very Clumsy APP. Search function doesnt work at all on HTC-ONE. No consistency in navigation functions..ie: One menu item requires the phones "back" button while in another menu that closes the program!.. Terrible! Clicking on a song in MY MUSIC simply gives an error on the radio but going right into the options allows you to PLAY that song.. just stupid!!! I only just got this app and radio and there has been NO improvements in either app or firmware..

I "upgraded" my Logitech Squeezebox to UE Smart Radio, and I regret it. The remote app is SO much worse. It's really awful. Siriusxm is cumbersome, but Spotify is just about unusable. Do not upgrade your Logitech Squeezebox. The old remote wasn't perfect, but was much better than UE.

Had I known logitech would stop updating their products' softwares I would have never gotten it. This product is very outdated. update the Spotify functions with that of the latest Spotify app. Spotify functions such as creating radio stations for songs, Browse and Discover functions should be added.

Got a new Android phone now can't locate or connect with radio. Even try generating PIN no luck with remote function

Was happy to find the compatible upgrade app for my Logitech Squeeze Box. It works great. UPDATE: 1/25/21 Screw Logitech for discontinuing this. I need to reinstall this on my new phone but since Logitech dumped this controller I can hardly use my UE Smart Radio. NO MORE LOGITECH.

The subscription logins doesn't seem to work as I get commercials now. Also going to Spotify it errors that the app cannot contact the server, etc. On the radio itself it works fine. Seems not much of maintenance is done. There is no iHeart anymore.

The user interface of this app is a terrible mess, back drops you out of your navigation, or worse out of the application all together. Huge step backwards from the Squeezebox controller. Shame as the UE radio firmware is more stable.

The built-in GUI on the UE smart radio is quite unfriendly. If a controller wasn't offered for the device I wouldn't have purchased it, but now that I have it, I'm quite disappointed. Seems that this application is not compatible with all android models(HTC One). And for the models with compatibility ( HTC 1X), there are still issues with certain services (Spotify). With lacking GUI, this radio can only be as good as its controller and as it stands, this controller is no good. Please fix these issues.

Invalid response from server error. This is not what I expect from an international company. Although the app works, its very basic and counter intuitive. As a result, its too easy to exit the app instead of navigating back to the app selection.

Last update was more than 3 years ago - which would be fine if the app were perfect, but it has a long way to go to be even very good.

Works very well. Never had the remote, but this works even better, since I can be a state away and turn on this radio with this app. Fantastic.

Spotify stopped working! I bought this device specifically for its Spotify support, and it is now absent of the app. I feel so scammed.

Is there really no way to have a favorite that plays the most recent episode of a radio show or podcast? I can favorite a particular episode, but that is kinda useless. This feature either needs to be implemented or made easier to use.

Unfortunately this is the only way to control your Logitech smart radio once you upgrade to Ue.

Settings are buried and very difficult to find. Sleep function is buried in the settings. No way to even make screen shortcuts so I can at least find/use the functions. Please fix.

Not updated in over 3 years, terrible Spotify integration. I've given up on any hope of improvement with Logitech and plugged a Chromecast into my UE Radio instead.

I'm glad there is an app to control the radio. The layout is poor, once you go into a radio it's hard to tell how to get back to the main menu area. Being able to play music from the phone would be nice since they are both connected on Wi-Fi

App is unstable and crashes frequently, especially when using Tidal.

App is clunky for one, but it won't even play the songs I choose from my playlist. Once play is clicked, nothing happens on the radio at all even though the UE Library Server is running and has an updated library. Defeats the whole purpose.
