UFO VPN Basic: Free VPN Proxy Master & Secure WiFi

This app works great on all my apple devices except for phone X. I’m not sure if it’s phone software issue or app issue. I have to delete and reload it about every day or two to get it to work. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good vpn app. The customer service is great as well. I had a problem with my subscription not showing up an they had it fix with in an hour and gave me the days back that I had missed.

UFO VPN is not the most feature-rich VPN, especially the free version, and it might not be the ideal tool in highly restrictive countries, but as a straightforward Android VPN it is excellent. It is easy to use, connects reliably, and does the job. I just used it to stream a US sports network live feed from Asia with a clear, smooth picture. I'm quite happy with it.

I really do like this VPN, it’s a great protection since I use public WiFi quite often in the week and full-time when traveling. It works as advertised. The only complaint is the almost-daily pop-ups that you have to swipe away to get into the app to enable/disable the VPN connection. In some cases I’ve had to get past two pop-ups asking to rate the program which wastes time when you want to quickly enable the VPN. As a Premium paying customer this is an annoyance and needs to be avoided and make the process as quick as possible.

If you have issues with the free version, I feel like there is no right to complain. It’s free and you get what you pay for. And the free versions has always worked kind of good for me. However, I wanted to play some games on my phone and get a little more speed (like it advertises) and choose my servers. Now that I upgraded I can connect 1/10 times, and that is a generous number. I love in mainland China right now and I can’t even connect to Hong Kong. Every server since I upgraded has barely worked and even when I connect it’s been slower than the free version. Although the free version works fine for me, the premium has been a major disappointment. Hopefully it improves, I have really enjoyed UFO VPN on trips past. But if you are in China I do not suggest it. For now I need to find something that works.

UFO VPN is very dependable, although it takes quite a few tries to connect sometimes, even when my service is at three bars. I know that can't be helped, but it's something to consider when choosing a good VPN. However, I prefer UFO VPN over all the other VPNs I've used. It doesn't compare to SSH, but it's definitely the best VPN you're going to find. Plus it's got a cute madcot. I'd give it five stars if it cut back on the Go Premium ad. I'm fine with ads, but it's frustrating when you have to close out of the same ad 3+ times to get to the actual app.

It does what it says. Occasionally it might ask you to watch a video or something, but that’s a small price to pay for a free app with as good connectivity as UFO VPN. Rarely it would fail to connect, but usually just trying again fixes that, and I’ve never had it drop an established connection, even after letting my phone sleep for hours. Would certainly recommend this app to anyone.

I travel extensively abroad for work which means a lot of time spent in foreign airports and hotels. This app allows me to use various apps where I log in with my US TV Provider account and watch all the latest shows. *Please note that the signal strength will depend on the speed and stability of the WiFi you are connected to. For me it’s meant Asia and Europe work awesome, Africa and Latin America not so awesome.

It’s a really useful app, making internet access really reachable, my only concern is the general connection time. I know it’s probably my signal but it doesn’t seem to be it, it generally will take so long for it to connect if not 3 seconds. If it were looked upon to try no make it faster to connect unless you don’t have service, this would be a must have app

I live in Venezuela, where, for instance, Spotify doesn’t allow you to download any song due to the IP direction. Just amazing. In occasions, when the VPN activates itself, my WiFi connection doesnt work; in those cases, I just try another country and that’s fine, or deactivate and activate my WiFi connection. Congratulations! First app that allow you to change your country without any paying fee.

I usually use my search thingy for video game wikis and that means there’s a lot of link clicking and searching sometimes. Because of how many times I keep having to load multiple pages, it can get pretty slow sometimes, but it’s still free and it makes me feel safer. The ads aren’t long or bothersome, and I can always turn it off if it gets too slow. Overall pretty great especially considering I didn’t need to pay anything for it.

Overall the VPN service is very good but I find it turning on when I don't need it. There is is a option in settings called connect on demand. I turn this off but for some reason is won't turn it off the app still auto connects. This gets very annoying because the wifi connection while using the app isn't as good as the wifi at my house when I don't need it. Overall it works with any application allowing you to view almost anything or use any application.

It connects instantly maybe 2 out of every 10 times. I wouldn’t mind watching an ad if that meant instant connection but even then it doesn’t happen. It’s very random when it will work.Update: UFO VPN has gotten much better at connecting, my only complaint is that it messes with my WiFi and I have to reset the router when I use it.

This is only VPN that has worked for me. It works pretty well, although sometimes it disconnects out of no where and also when you connect w it for the first time everyday it takes multiple times before it connects. Also I do not like how if you lock your phone it turns off so then you can’t get any notifications until you unlock and it reconnects

This one is really reliable. Easy to use, easy to connect, internet connection is pretty fast most of the time, and stable. I've tried other ones, either they are hard to actually get a VPN connection, or drops off a lot and needs reconnecting. So far none of that problems had happened yet. Hopefully it stay this stable.

Omg, this app has made my WiFi so much more reliable! When I use it when I am at school, it makes it connect and not laggy at all! The one thing the devs should improve is when you turn off your WiFi, the VPN disconnects. But at least it’s very easy to connect, if says disconnected, click on it until it connects and it’s super fast! I love it!

I like the way how it connects pretty fast to the internet. Perhaps one slight bad thing is that it’s just lags the connection by a minimal amount, which I find to be expected. It is one of THE best VPN because the connection speed is still faster then most and also creating a connection to the WI-FI is fast and smooth. It’s a five out of five.

Overall this app does provide a vpn service which works most of the time. I am currently in a rural part of China so I understand the service may not be as reliable. Upgrading to premium immediately showed improvements in connection stability and access to different regions to access new content while surfing the web or streaming. Do not regret the purchase but hope they will continue to improve connections with mobile devices, when I return home I would to like to try their desktop versions for my pc.

This is a great VPN but when I use it after around an hour it would disconnect by itself for no reason at all. My wifi is strong and fast. Also, I noticed that my wifi is a bit slower than normal but it's ok because it mostly isn't noticeable. Until now I use this VPN, but if you could fix these issues I would be happy to pay for the pro version.

Love it so much. The ads are very seldom, the battery draw is minimal, and the speed is just about comparable to without a VPN. Keep in mind- nothing is untraceable- even tor servers. It just takes more work to find you. And after the end of 17, NSA doesn't even need a warrant if you're using a tor server.Hope you'll give this a try. All of my family uses this.

I have been using the free app for half a year. It is very slow, loses connection every 15 minutes, I tried the 1 week trial of the paid version, it works!!! I work overseas where they will not allow FaceTime calls with the paid version I can FaceTime. I am only giving it three stars because the free version doesn’t work!

I've bounced between a handful of other VPN apps and frankly this is my favorite so far. I'm a free user, so I'm not getting ultra high premium speeds, but for making things work properly on my school network, it's just fine.I also super appreciate the way it shows how much data I've downloaded/uploaded each session; this seems to reset a lot when it's in the background but it's still nifty, and I haven't seen other apps that do this yet.Is it perfect? No, but it has a great free tier that has handled everything I've thrown at it, when other VPNs have failed it just keeps trucking.

It’s just nice to have an option like “Watch Video and get connected”. I literally love using this app. I’m just watching one video for about 30 minutes and using the VPN the time I want. But then sometime the browsing speed is too slow. I would request you to improve the browsing speed in the next update. Tq:)

Ever since I downloaded this VPN, it has never ceased to amaze me. It’s free (because it gets their money from ad rev.) and works really well. The only problems are that the VPN turns off after a long period of use, and if you don’t realize when that happens, you run the risk of exposing internet traffic. Other than that, this app is great and worth the download!

I’ve viewed all the VPN applications on the Google Play. This is easily the best choice for 3 reasons. First, it never randomly disconnects(like many others tend to do for the ‘free VPN service’ option. Second, being a truly free service (without data limits) it allows country selection. Third, the interface and profile is lightweight and the speed is great. Need I say more?
