Used to be good. Recent upgrade however has made it far worse. Can't log in a second device as it gives conflicting messages. The video stream is now small in size. The notification sensitivity has gone from a range of choices to just high or low. Temperature has gone. What is going on? Can we go back to the old app please?
App is continuously on but still misses crying alerts all the time, especially when the phone is locked. Also it messes with my phone's audio such that when connected to the camera and the app is open all other audio is distorted and the volume level is way lower. Finally it complains my Wifi password is too long for it to handle. Likely because it uses a QR code to transfer it to the cam, but still an unwelcome limitation in today's security minded world. Most of these issue started with the last update. Certainly not an improvement. A babycam needs to be dependable above everything else and this one just isn't that.
The old version wasn't perfect but it worked 98% of the time. Now the app is constantly on, which is f'ing annoying during the day, oh, and why not remove half of the functions while you're at it? Check, check and check. You done and goof'd Philips, next time dont let the intern be in charge of the update.
Spend the extra money and get a better product. App is terrible. Feed is horrible on Wifi and on cellular network. Not to mention there is a constant clicking sound that plays through the audio. I live in a 1100 sq. ft. home and am 20 steps away from the crib. This app/product should be working just fine, yet it doesn't. And God forbid two of us should happen to be logged on, then the whole thing crashes. Yes I have run updates on the app, my router and our phones. It's not the phones/router
Another very dissatisfied user. Several Android and iOS devices all exceeding minimum requirements cannot connect to camera after it is connected to WiFi (tried two networks, both meeting the requirements). Philips got a team of worst engineers available, gave them alcoholic drinks and left them on a boat to design this. It has very bad reviews everywhere. Too bad since other Philips products are very good. The latest update did not solve the issue after coming late anyway.
This is a terrible app, constantly disconnects from my WiFi. Don't waste your money. It hasn't been updated since December of 2018. Edit 11/2019 Redownloaded and now havibg the firmware fixed,it works a whole lot better! Thank you Philips for working on your app!
As written by many other uses here, the app simply stopped working, reset password does not work and it seems to be impossible to get help. Very frustrating. Expensive camera and once this app is not working it's useless.
Temperature and humidity missing in the new version. Connecting via phone numbers not email address. If you have more devices you need more numbers... Can't take Pictures. Otherwise it's a good device.
App crashed, so I deleted it and did a reinstall. Now I can't even reset the password or make an account..... 2 days ago the app decided to stop working. It seems Philips pulled the plug?!?! Before that, the device was a champion in disconnecting! Waste of money, lesson learned!
Very poor, unreliable. Device loses WiFi configuration. App crashes and invite code then becomes invalid. Most disappointing implementation of what could/should be a good device.
Lost the ability to adjust volume. Keeps breaking up the connection and appearing as offline for no good reason. Absolute rubbish of an app and ineffective device.
Disgraceful app. I'm constantly having to uninstall and reinstall the app so I can keep connected. Keeps loosing connection and always at the time I need it to be on and my baby is crying. Constantly tells me my baby is crying even when she is fast asleep. Unable to troubleshoot when I need too. Will never recommend this
Original app had connectivity issues. Updated apps is missing several options that used to be available as temperture reading, pictures and zoom function. Not a recommended product
I had a very bad experience with this app, the camera and Bimbostore the reseller. The image was ok but useless if any 3 min I had to reconnect the app to the camera. I tried the camera for a week and a half but was not possible to keep it. When I tried to return the camera Bimbostore was not willing to refund it, therefore I was obliged to buy products I was not needing. I'm very disappointed by the interaction with Bimbostore and Philips!
What the hell?? No temperature and humidity!?! There was so much more you could of fixed on your update but instead you gave it a new look and got rid of the temperature!
It's not about the app but about the device. DO NOT BUY THIS!! The system crashes all the time. For a month we had no way to supervise the baby and they did nothing. Unacceptable for such an expensive device. If you already bought i suggest you return it
Worked for two days now just continuously says retrieving video feed. I tried clearing the cache and uninstalling it and reinstalling the app no difference.
It bothered me with constant notifications first but when my baby cried, I got no notification. It always froze up, locked me out several time, than I gave up.
this app is worthless, disconnects all the time on a stable wifi that is. also simple features like the password reset dont work at all
Doesn't work at all. Can't connect to any router anymore. Can't get it to work and I have two engineering degrees. Totally useless as a consumer product.
Lullabies and colorful light options stop working. Clearing cache does not help. Very often camera disconnects from wifi.
In general the app is useful, but it crashes very often. Example: when you share the device with someone and he/she decides to check the camera- the initial screen of the first user is turning black...everytime! Example 2: I think they have a bug with the wi-fi connection. Since 3 hours I'm trying to connect via different networks and it shows same error (50500). Dears, I kindly ask you to work on user experience. I like the device,but the app needs some work :)
