App was perfect. You were able to see all bus times from a stop. Now you're only allowed to see what's expected. Doesn't help when planning in advance when you want to manually plan. The automated plan isn't always perfect.
Nice to now be able to buy tickets. But...there's now no widget. Please bring it back. It made finding the time of your next bus much easier. Overall the app has become more difficult to navigate....certainly not intuitive. You even have to register to save favourite stops. Update 16.03.22: True to their word, the widget has now reappeared and works very well. So, I'm upping my star rating from two to five. Good on Bus Checker.
Since my last one star review, the app has improved a lot and now does what it always used to do - find the nearest bus stops and the next buses. The route planner also now finds buses rather than just train, bike or walk. It still sometimes comes up saying no internet connection when there is, so not five star.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I don't need help getting the most out of this awful new version of your app. I need the well designed, useful version back. You know from the countless reviews you've replied to that this "upgrade" has been a disaster. Time to save face and roll back, or at least give us a legacy version. Without the obnoxious ads.
It doesn't matter which bus I click it will only ever give me the timings for the last service on the list. If I click the 17:00 bus it means I want to see the times of the stops for that service, not the 22:00. Does it on every bus and every line.
Currently this app is very confusing, coming from the previous version. I get to the map, find my stop and am faced with " nothing expected" . I used to get the expected times a bus should appear. Useless!!!
As a visually impaired person this app was invaluable to me when travelling by bus as I am unable to read timetables or awe the digital readouts at the stop. This latest update has ruined it. It is now completely unusable for me and from what I can work out most of my actual stops have dissapeared. I would have happily paid to remove ada and keep the original app but can't imagine I'll ever use this app as it currently is. Very sad times!
Keeps saying no Internet connection even though I can get on other websites. Planning a journey give the most ridiculous options of buses, instead of the obvious ones I already use. I don't want to know bike, walking, train times or buy tickets. It's a BUS app to check when buses are due!
This was a very good app but the recent update is a disaster. The "Favourites" has been replaced by a new "Saved" feature which doesn't work properly. Some of my bus stops appear to have vanished altogether from the database. Please restore the app to previous version which worked much better.
So disappointed with the changes to this app . I used to have all my favourite stops saved and it would list the upcoming bus times for each one at a glance. Now it's turned into a copy of apps like Stagecoach and Trainline but it's not as good. If it isn't broken, don't fix it!!!
This App used to be a 5 star bus checker now it is a disaster. It was easy to navigate and easy to see now it is neither. It has lost all its customising ability and is hard to navigate if you don't have 20/20 vision. The most important part of the App (bus times) has been squashed to the bottom of the screen. Overall this App has turned from a 5 star App to a 1 star App.
The widget was removed, rendering the app no better than just using Google maps, but it's back now, which is great! I still prefered the interface of the old app but I guess that's subjective. Most important thing is it's again quick and easy to see when the bus is coming using the widget.
What's happened to this app?!?! It used to be very reliable but recently the times shown are total fiction. It says a bus is due in 2 minutes but it doesn't come, then the app shows the bus has been and gone when I know it hasn't because I'm still at the bus stop and there's been no sign of a bus. The recent update is a disaster. I paid for the old version but now it says I'm not registered and all my data has vanished. Also, the widget is no longer available, which makes using the app harder.
Previous (negative) review deleted. Like everyone else, I liked the app before the latest update which completely ruined it - it's essentially unusable now. Have switched to the FirstBus app, which has live times, let's you choose favourite stops, tells you exactly where the bus is, and how many free seats too. And no ads.
this app is so bad,says the bus is coming then it doesnt show up i have to wait for the bus to get to school so i need to be able to get there on time and this app doesnt help at all says faulse times and isnt even on real time 75 percent of the time never using this app again and i dont think anyone else should,the new update has completely ruined it,i just downloaded a new app and its showing me that the bus is in 10 mins this app said it was in 30 when the bus usually comes every 10-15 mins
Terrible. Why when something is working does it have to be "improved" when all this does is cause hassle? Have removed it from my phone and will look to see if there is a different app that is easy to use without the pointless frills.
Used to be actually fit for purpose; the new update has made it defunct. It basically now just tells you bus times, which you can get by just looking at the info at the bus stop/Google. There is no live tracker any more, so you have no idea if the bus you're wanting is nearby, which was really useful when/if you live in a rural area.
Used to be brilliant, but new update has taken away key functionality - the widget of favourites. Please bring it back. Also, says that you can buy tickets through the app, and you might, but I could only see two operators available, neither of them near me. All of this said however, it does still work. Just not as frictionlessly as it used to. UPDATE Widget is back! Much better.
Terrible! This used to be really good but the latest update makes it just about unusable - half the bus stops just flash up and disappear, so can't be selected / real-time info needs more clicks to get to / stops can't be renamed to something more useful. Can we have the old version back please???
I have been using this app for years - it was an excellent journey planner but now the most useful journey planning functions have been removed. Where have "Get me here/get me to here" and "choose on map" functions gone? In addition to that, the address search is rubbish - it didn't find any of the (valid) addresses I entered. Back to plain old Google Maps for me!!
With the latest update, the widget has gone, my saved stops have gone, lots of clicking through to find when the next bus is from my usual stop. An expectation of creating an account. I'm assuming the Devs think the user base wants to primarily use the app to buy tickets, but I just want my bus times back. Almost certainly going to uninstall now because I might as well just use the local bus company app, or CityMapper.
Absolute rubbish. Last version which has now disappeared taking all my saved stops with it was brilliant. This is slow clunky and quite frankly useless to me. No real time bus info that I can find and not as good as other comparable apps. You took something good and obliterated it. If I could give it minus 5 stars I would. UPDATE...... The app is now much better with my favourites restored and more real time bus information. Can't comment on other functions as I only use it for bus times.
