UK TV & Radio

Just installed, very good so far . excellent image, more channels would merit 5th star. Chrome cast a real plus . 23/1/2020 excellent reliable app so far after a few weeks use. 3/2/2020 what happened? After everything working brilliantly, tuned in today to nothing except radio. All channels black, buffer 2 or3 seconds and nothing else happens. Obviously it was too good to be true. I've Un and re-installed the app but still no good. Help please.

Promising app. Currently my favourite for casting UK TV outside the UK. Casts to Chromecast and Chromecast Audio devices, with good reception on most channels except BBC News. Problems with mixing up TV and Radio media streams when casting. It says it's casting the radio stream but actually casts the TV audio. The only way I could get Radio casting to work was to go to the Google Home app, select the audio device, and switch on "cast my audio". Several User Interface improvements needed. For example, local sound should be cut when casting, casting should continue in the background unless you exit the app. Exiting the app should clear its cache etc.

I really like this app. It's very useful since I have no chance of watching UK TV here in Germany. There are just 2 minor problems.1. All the settings are in French. I don't speak any French whatsoever and therefore I have no idea what the settings say. 2. Sometimes after watching for about 5 minutes of any channel the screen turns black, despite me having very good internet connection, and I have to restart the app entirely.

Wonderful app, it comes in clear and great to see BBC programs again. Only thing I noticed would sometimes seem to buffer or stop working if you used the pause feature for the tv. The radio also comes in clear with no problems but does have a fewer radio stations then other apps but overall great. There is one feature I would love to see which is to record/save programs for a set number of days or something for the tv programs for those not currently in Britain. I would even pay for that.

Does everything I want . . . everything I've tried just works! Interface is simple, stations open fast. I value simplicity over a long list of functions I'll never use (but a timer for switching on would be nice!). The developer added 2 radio stations at my suggestion within 24 hours: how's that for response? €10 wouldn't be too much to get rid of ads permanently!

Excellent quality, and plenty of channels to choose from. Especially great that it is free, My only concern is that it is not compatible with the smart TV, and chromecast does not seem to work. There is a button to click on for chromecast but the TV only shows the name of the app or channel.

Works well but comletely let down by intrusive adverts and lack of the expected links from the program guide (as far as I can see). It needs a paid-for option. One star because I'm unlikely to use the app. I'd probably pay monthly if it were ad free and the guide worked. At least £2 per month which is probably more than the advertising is worth. Especially as, for privacy/security, I nearly always buy directly from suppliers so nobody gets any click through revenue.

Fantastic job.... very impressed... all I wanted was to cast free to air TV to a new TV I have installed to save me from having to wire a new aerial point... and this does that perfectly and all from 1 app.... including itv channels which can't be live streamed from their own app!!.... a round of applause for this developer, please don't change the simplicity... if you can then up the streaming quality, add google home voice control.. I'd happily pay to remove the adds, but adds not a big deal.

Have used this now for a few weeks and does as stated. Progarmming seems to drop out now and again looking like there's an interruption in signal reception but then the ads work fine when you restart it. They have to make money somehow though. Channel 4's More 4 channel has disappeared since December update.

I have tried this on two android tv boxes. On both it seems to work until you hit full screen upon which it flickers, then comes back on small screen but the audio keeps playing from both before and after the flicker giving an echo type effect. Each repeat adds another audio stream. I can't figure out how to enable fullscreen or even shut it down once it starts with multiple audio overlays.

When you click on BBC 6 Music the audio it plays is actually Radio 1. When you click on a radio station the app ask for permission to record your audio (why would it need to?). And when you exit out of the radio station it displays a message in French with "oui" and "non" options. Deleting until these are fixed.

The app has much to offer but delivery is poor. Choose a channel and after a few minutes it will stop and an advert will pop up. One clears that then has to clear another before continuing. Pausing until ad releases the phone so one can continue. Every movement and choice incurs another ad. If one could watch something completely it would be the very best app there is but as it is it is riddled with ads making the whole experience too frustrating. It is an ad trap ergo useless as a TV app!

In the absence of an official freeview app for android this is a start, but it has very few channels and several just have sound with a black screen. Also I can't find a settings option to change dimensions to fit my screen, so everyone is tall and thin. Sorry, but needs more work.

Hardly any of the channels work, just a black screen with the play button! The 2 or 3 channels that do work just show previews of the programs that are supposedly broadcast on those channels, in other words just advertising tv shows that one does not get to watch! Totally useless app also keeps telling me to install some other app!

Great app! I have been searching for a way to watch UK TV on the continent without a VPN for ages and I finally found it. I understand the adverts are the price for being able to watch UK channels non-stop. No stopping after 2 minutes of watching. Perfect! Wish there was somethnig similar for German TV.

Works perfect for 2 - 3 minutes tops! The stops playing channel and all you get is a black screen. Constantly stops! Even while casting. It just stops randomly ever 2 - 3 minutes with a black screen and a play button that does nothing!

This app is fine when used on my phone, if I try and cast to tv, it keeps crashing/loading. I also have it on my android box. Again will work on small scale and freezes if I try to put picture to full screen. This would be a 5* app without these problems!

I can not believe you's have just ruined a perfectly good app! Ever since its recent update, it's over an hour behind and doesn't play more than 10 seconds before completely freezing. I'm so annoyed at this ridiculous app that much I'm deleting it for good!!!!!

Was using the old version which was great if what a little intermittent however since i upgraded it will no longer work on my Amazon fire box. It installs but won't open. Work great on my S7 . Pity as i really liked the app hence only 4 stars. Any ideas or a fix as to why it wont would be great .

Fantastic app to access UK media. Unfortunately casting doesn't work consistently. Either video stream isn't displayed on 2nd screen or video plays on both screens with 2-3 second delay. I hope you can resolve this issue.

Amazing app, all the most popular UK channels, casts prefectly, even from a really old phone. If you could remove ads by buying the app, that would be awesome. Also, why does the app need microphone access? Voice control would be brilliant, but not available, so why is microphone access requested on install?

Toronto, Canada here. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab E. After down loading and installling the app, when I opened it, operating was intuitive and simple. 4 channels. Channel 1 was a variety show, Channel 2 was football, Channel 3 advertising/shopping program, Chanel 4 a nature program. Decent sound, all HD. If your keen on dropping into UK TV, worth checking out the app.

Can't watch much tv as every time you touch the screen you are bombarded with ads, and then have to reload the channel to be faced with more ads. I get you have to make revinue from ads but you should be able to watch TV as well.

Fantastic app. I was waiting for the catch as it is completely free. The stream sometimes freezes but that could be just the internet connection. Very few ads too so I would thoroughly recommend this app.

app works great and connects to Chromecast BUT it won't actually play any content on TV. Streams just fine on phone but when it's casting, the screen goes black and says ' UK Live'. would give 5 stars if this wasn't an issue. ☹️

Smart piece of kit, does what it says on the box.... Streaming quality is exceptional, no buffering to mention, picture quality is sharp. Easy selection of other channels and switch over is smooth as well as fast....Best I have tried, so defo 5/5...

Either way i gave the app a 5 star because I'm not negatively affecting the app if its not working because I'm located in the United States. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Clean interface, good streaming experience and the best I've tried so far. The only thing preventing 5 stars is no EPG, and limited channel line up, all the main channels are there but no Discovery or History etc.

Absolute rubbish. Only one channel works on wifi. The others just show a black screen before stopping. So I'm using all my data. I'm off to find a better app.
