One of the best free apps for playing Ukulele! Transposing and auto scroll, features that would cost you $10+ on any guitar app are completely free! (Excluding a few ads, which are not overly frequent)
I don't EVER review apps. But this app is REALLY good. It also has auto scroll so you don't have to worry about your phone screen turning on or off, and you can adjust it to the speed of your liking, it's really nice.. definitely recommend. I like Cavetowns music a lot, and his older music chords are on here, and those are REALLY hard to find.. just overall a really good app. OTHER than the fact that it doesn't save your tabs when you hit save tabs. Which is kind of annoying, but it's a good app
I found it very easy to navigate this site and find songs that I wanted to play. the app even has a way to show you new songs and a refresh button to go with it. there are ads everywhere yes BUT they are not in the middle of the chord screen thingy or blocking out anything so I wouldnt pay them much mind. this is a free app, they need money to give us ways to impress our friends :)
The variety of tabs and the songbook feature are great and I find the app very convenient. However, there seems to be no way to permanently remove ads. You can watch videos to go ad-free for a period of time, but I would much appreciate the ability to make a one-off payment to remove ads like in many other apps. I'd happily send a few dollars to support the developer in exchange for a 'premium' experience that gets rid of those annoying pop-ups.
The app itself is great. Good design, easy to save tabs for going back to them later. As for the actual tabs, it doesn't have everything I've looked up, but what it does have has been pretty good. Of course, the app doesn't create the tabs, it created the infrastructure for the tabs to be found and organized but like any tab site/app, the actual tabs are written by individuals and submitted.
Great app! It actually exceeded my expectations. I especially like the strumming pattern section. A great place to learn new patterns and learn how to read them. You can hear audio samples too, in perfect clarity. Large song selection. Auto-scroll feature is nice once you figure the best speed. Hope it holds up, but great so far.
It's not the best it's better if your novice or expert. Also to all the users if your going to help other people to learn a song, please make sure that there is "how to strum" and also lyrics to go with the uke tabs, cause other wise people will get confused especially for beginners. (The app is no good for beginners, only for people who know the songs. If there is a copyright problem about strumming then it is no good. I picked up a bunch of tunes in just 2 months on YouTube)get it??
Been using the site for years, and the app is finally coming into its own. A smooth, clean interface with loads of useful tools, unobtrusive ads, and a great community resource for new players and the like - but primarily, it connects me with a huge library of quality uke tabs for all skill levels, and does so painlessly with tools like transposing, editing, and autoscrolling. Previous versions would have scored 3 stars or so for mediocrity, but the current version is excellent.
The main reason I used this app was because of the "random" function and because you could view saves tabs offline. While the recent update made it possible to carry saved tabs over to other devices, connecting your library with your username, tidied up the interface and made it more aesthetically pleasing, you must now be online in order to view tabs. This majorly detracted from my user experience.
So many ads. Hate the latest update. It used to be a wonderful app, but now is a stream of ads on every page and in between windows, and I'm probably going uninstall it. It's horrible. Which is heartbreaking because they have so many songs, but I can't take it anymore. If they want money they should just offer to pay a bit for the app sans ads, but no, your option to ''get rid of them'' is to just watch them all at once. No thank you, I do not want your ads shoved down my throat. In addition it now is super buggy. Very unhappy. So lame.
Debilitating ads with sound are really intrusive for an app used to perform and practice with. The auto-scroll in landscape is also broken since if it gets ahead of you and you need to pull down to catch up, then it stops the auto scroll. The bar on the top and bottom when in horizontal mode is also much too large, which is particularly frustrating when most tabs need to be viewed in horizontal view to line up correctly.
I love the app, people who give it bad reviews are nitpicking. The ads don't ever get in my way, the UI is free the school is nice (although maybe we could add a recommended bpm for scrolling? Finding the right speed is a tiny bit difficult) I can save the tabs I want to see them offline and there's a good mix for beginner to strong intermediate.
Very useful tool for uke players. Chords seem to be submitted by users mostly which means they are not all great but, usually there are several to choose from. Improvements that would be nice: 1. I would pay for this in order to not have ads and save tabs to my device. Doesn't seem to be an option though. 2. Be nice to report or submit tabs that are really bad and useless to reduce the clutter in search results. 3. Love for it to predict my searches as i type and/or save search history!
Clean, search isn't buggy, when I scroll down it actually moves. They best part though is the button that shows similar artists. When I want to play on my ukulele, I don't necessarily know what I want to play, and this button makes me think of songs I do. It's such a simple idea but I really like it. Also I enjoy the artists being sorted into approximate genres. Anything to make ukulele playing as pain free as possible.
Just got the app and I like it because of the tabs but it is hard to try and find the right strumming to fit the song. In my opinion I feel like there should be a list of recommended strumming patterns for each song so you have something to kind of go off. I also think it would be nice to have some links to videos or something so you can hear the song and learn that way.
Excellent app! Love the songbook function.
This app used to be amazing and had almost every song that I searched for. Plus I had an account on my old phone and I had saved more than a 100 tabs in my songbook but, ever since I got my new phone and reinstalled the app, it wouldn't let me log back into my old account saying there was some type of error. I tried all means but it dawned pointless. As of now, even if I try to load the app, it buffers for a good 2-3 seconds and shows an error message, literally nothing displays no matter what.
The first app I've found that includes baritone ukulele tabs. Let's you keep a library of favorite songs. There are even multiple versions of popular songs at varying difficulty levels which is nice. There are ads, but they're short and they aren't disruptive. Great app!
This app is the best free ukuelele app i've found. You don't have to pay a monthly cost to access all the features, the scrolling feature actually works, the app isn't crazy glitchy, the ads aren't so frequent that it makes playing imposible, and you can save/download songs.
App works poorly, can hardly use any of the functions. And what genius came up with the idea that to remove ads, you have to get coins BY WATCHING ADS.. edit, response to developers: I'm not complaining that you can remove ads, I'm complaining that I have to watch ads in order to do them. How does that make sense? Why can't I just pay money for it like any other app. I'll gladly support an app and do so frequently but I have better things to do than sitting through uninteresting ads
This app can be glitchy when trying to add songs to your songbook. Sometimes the songs don't add, sometimes songs I didn't choose are added. However, after a few hours of use I've dealt with it. The rest of the app is quite good with a large database of songs.
Ads are broken. Very frequently an ad will pop up at random times while using the app and won't go away until you close out of the app. Which you then have to look up the song you were on all over again. Not worth paying for an "ad free" experience when there's plenty of other resources out there.
This app help me save paper! Rather than printing out the sheet work I can just get this app and I can have every cord I need. They have the chords and the charts on how to play them and have almost every song in the world as long as I know so I really suggest this app for you if you want to learn ukulele and some songs on the ukulele. Sadly, as long as I know they don't have worldwide songs as in international songs, but they have a lot of good songs so you should get this app! 😀😀👍👍👍
it's a great app especially for beginners. you can choose your songs save your favorites and tune your uke and finds chords is you don't know them through this one but you do have to download the other two. but they don't take up a lot of space so it should be okay.
The app used to have a 10 second MAXIMUM ad after every 5 tabs you opened - now there are 30-60 second ads you cannot exit out of that appear after every 5 tabs, which would be fine if every tab was actually playable and quality but they aren't. I hate to say it but this used to be my favorite ukulele tab app and now I'm uninstalling it for other ones; I do not suggest getting this app unless you really enjoy being forced to watch Dua Lipa play with an eagle for 60 seconds every three minutes.
This app used to be simple and great. But then the update happened, and now I can't go two minutes without being attacked by ads. I try searching for anything, and I'm inundated with ads popping up and crashing the ap. It's a sad day when something so simple yet useful is wrecked due to greed.
Super easy to use! I was able to find what I wanted right away. Very minimal ads make it even better. Definitely recommend installing even if you're a beginner! It's literally so easy and you can play so many current and classic songs.
😨I was blown away by this app. I'm a pretty good player and have always printed out my music. Now they don't have every song but they got darn close. And you can choose what genera you want. Andddddd when you save the songs you can play them offline!!!!!
