ULO app

Heads up: 1st configure it near the router upside down or your phone won't pick it up, and the running ceiling fan distracts the eyes. I can't watch recorded video in the app, or if it's even possible and email activity notifications don't work. It's a cool novelty gadget best to use for keeping an eye on your sleeping baby or pets... I didn't expect anything more then that from this so I was not disappointed. For the price resolution could be better, although it's adequate for my needs,

Does not hold to what was promised. image quality bad, night mode unusable, storage on device midiocre, they should add a customer friendly way to get emails of pictures or videos on movement, or provide a online area with an account where you have access to your media. They are great at marketing, though.

All the reviews about the camera and the app are true. But I'm ok with the delays and the poor quality as when you fund something like this on Kickstarter, you are funding a prototype. If the finished product is great then you are lucky. I take pleasure in helping entrepreneurs to realise a great concept. So this one didn't quite turn out as planned but if you shoot him down then he will give up working on improvements, and this project will be a failure. But if it gets better and better, then in 5 versions' time, maybe Ulo will be amazing. Kickstarter is not an online shopping site so one shouldn't come here to buy first grade technology. Maybe OK for a towel or luggage but not technology. That said, here are the defects (and there are many): - App doesn't work once you leave home so it defeats the purpose of having the camera - The resolution and picture quality is pretty poor, and even in good lighting the picture is pink and grainy - cannot pan or pinch to enlarge so you basically can't see much - no better than a basic closed circuit television quality Pros: - Ulo is so cute - Easy to set up the app and camera I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for a good camera.

still useless, i kept my ulo inside the box since there is no major update or some things to make it like the concept. Wasting my money to buy this camera, there is a lot of better quality camera and cheaper. thank you for your awesome concept and video.

This app just updated something all by itself. I have all of that turned off and haven't even opened the app since ewrly last year. Id it's disobeying me and skirting around the limitations I have in place, I wonder what else it does that I'm not okay with. Uninstalling. Nothing here is what was promised years ago

Terrible Execution! Great concept, but none of the promised features work. This designer should partne with a techgroup that can execute functionality, not just kitsch. Most expensive but useless desk pet on the Market.

Biggest rip off ever. Camera has awful resolution, bad blurry picture. The app doesnt even work. Half of the features are juat coming or will come sometime in who knows when. Just buy a decent camera instead of this overhyped paperweight.

Extremely disappointed. Waiting for 2 years and had 2 of them. Not working at all. Need to refund.

UlO cant be uograded.. And cant rollback... Now ita piece of junk... Stillthe cam is pink.. No clear vision at all.. I cant recognize my self on camers

It still won't work

At first, I was excited to have two of these guys... but as time went on, the excitement wore off. The Ulo seriously needs an update that supports RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) and onvif so that applications like BlueIris can take advantage of it. Otherwise, this is just a novelty item that has no real practical use.

The camera never worked properly and now the app wont show anything but a black screen. what a waste of time and money this thing is

I have to agree with the majority. I've waited 3 years for this product to launch & it seemed rushed, but I'm gonna hold out for the newest update before I really review this product. I was one of the few rooting for the success of this camera. I hope Ulo doesn't let us down. UPDATE: The new update now allows us to remote access our cameras from anywhere. The set up was easy. Once you get that down it's a go from there. It still has its issues, but simple set-up for remote accessing is a good start.

This product feels like a complete scam. We ordered 2 ulos and can't connect either one. Had to wait almost 2 years to receive it yet our money was cashed right away. We are going to make attempts to get our money back and return it. Hoping someone has succeeded in getting refunded.

The physical ULO turned out incredibly cute. By all testing displays, I expected a near enough complete item. The camera does not function well, video showing up purple due to extreme infared sensitivity. No night vision without the separate purchase of a light. App is very, very buggy so far. Cannot connect to ULO when not at home, and even then it doesn't always recognize the device. I have to log in, entering all if my info each time, each time I use the app. Not a horrible setup, but not easy, especially considering how often it reset itself or lagged out. The app is incredibly simple, and mostly easy to use, when it works properly. I anticipate future updates should fix a lot of the technological issues with connectivity and such, but we'll see. Forum activity is low, so I have low expectations. For the price paid, I would never repeat this purchase/funding. I have cameras that are much, much lower in cost that came with night light capabilities and function much better, with better visuals, they just aren't cute. That's the only thing this had going for it for me. It's a cute owl thing. Update May 2018: Updates to the app and firmware have done nothing to fix any of the issues I am having. Communication from staff said to be working on fixes is low to nonexistent. I wouldn't be surprised if there were no fixes forthcoming. Don't expect anything and you won't be disappointed.

Ugh. This product and the app are an extreme disappointment. Utter and complete garbage. A lesson in very carefully choosing what kickstarters to fund. I will revise this review, if by some miracle (highly doubtful), updates improve this total waste of money.

BS app, unresponsive and managed to connect only once in more than fifty attempts. Fix urgently :(

This app is great. The product is great. It has its limitations but is a solid product. There is alot of improvements needed. Connecting to wifi was easy. 64 gig sd card was formated by my smartphone. Picture quality is better than expected.

Still after 2 years in the box it still a POS. This is the Biggest POS I have ever bought I my life. Do not buy it!

Doesn't work anymore after update.... Won't open the UI after connecting to the ulo. + FFS stop with the debug toast msgs

App and cam can not be connected, waist of money! Expensive for no reason! Doesn't even work!

What's the point to have a security camera that we can only access from inside our home.. very disappointed

Well couldn't setup the camera when I first got it. Was hoping with this update I could connect the camera, but nope. Still doesn't connect to wifi. There's no WiFi drop down menu like it says was added.. This is just sad. Quite the expensive paper weight.
