Extremely slow to load & sometimes just doesn't load at all. I've also had issues with payment, which means Ulta is losing money because I literally can't check out. Not even deleting data and/or reinstalling app fixes the issues. I use the Sephora app too and it never gives me problems. Ulta needs to fix this asap because they're listing clientele.
I used to love this app and always purchased items because they were amazing! However, the app has begun malfunctioning which ruins my mood and therefore prevents me from wanting to purchase anything. When I open the app, it only shows the search bar and does not show me what would regularly be on the home screen. I've attempted reinstalling multiple times and the problem doesn't get fixed. This is very annoying as I have to then use the website.
Review update 4-3-2022. App is pretty much useless now. I used to love it and would use it to make purchases. Now all that I can use it for is to check points balance. Can't even research products because while you can bring up a search any item you click on, the product page comes up blank, no image or description and the few items that did have that info, didn't have the add to cart button. Until these issues are fixed, it's useless.
The app has constant problems lately, and isn't usable. The ulta website is 10x worse than the app, is extremely buggy, and barely ever works properly. I choose to use the app due to it having my information stored in it, and the fact that it has had no major issues until recently. Hey Ulta, get it together or you're going to lose your customer base to Sephora and other online retailers.
It's so frustrating to shop with. I'll select an item but it won't load. If a product I'm looking at has multiple color options, I switched to a color and the page will load but I'm out of luck if a product only has one option. There's nothing wrong with my internet and I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app multiple times and get the same issue. If I want a product with one option, I have to go in the mobile website. I have never seen a company so unwilling to take my money.
Ulta is terrible. I had a 10 dollar off coupon and it disappeared as I placed my order and they charged my credit card 10 dollars more. They always run out of free gifts promotions but you do not find out until the checkout. They do not give any free samples anymore but their competitors still do. The customer service has been getting more neglectful in recent years.
Useless app. It was so great before, but for the past month and a half or so, when you click on an item it only brings up a blank page with the option to see reviews or share, but you can't see the product or even add it to your shopping cart. It's very annoying and I wish the app would work again :(
Edit: 2 months later still the same problem. What's the point of these updates? Your app hasn't worked in months it feels. Others are experiencing the same issues. Blank home screen, blank products that you can't add to the cart or favorites. Beyond useless
Update as of 3/31: if you're tech savvy.. Go in the app under your settings. Clear the data, cashe, and forcestop. So far, this has fixed the blank screen issue! I wish the dang thing would just load! I have uninstalled and reinstalled at least 3 times and none of those times has corrected the issue. It's really put a sour taste in my mouth to a point where I don't even want to try using the app anymore (which is how I do most of my Ulta shopping).. Fix this already geez!!
Love this app. I like the point system cause it can help out. But what i don't like and would definitely change the amount of money you have to spend to get points. The app makes shopping for makeup and beauty products so much easier. If the point system was different I would love to give a 5 outta 5 stars.
Used to love using app! The app no longer allows you to add products to your cart or actually look at the products with the description either. Very disappointed that the app doesn't work anymore. I guess I'll just have to shop in store again so my purchases will be farther in between since the closes store to me is an hour away. Please fix your app as per other reviews they are having the same problems as me.
I would give no stars if it was an option. This app used to be great! But for the last several months it doesn't work when you click on an item to view details and pictures of the product. The page partially loads but with no pictures or descriptions of said product. Yes I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and it still won't work. So disappointing I really loved shopping through the app but now I can only use the actual website for Ulta to shop. 😒👎
Very simple to use, get good deals, and access reviews all at your fingertips. It's super handy. I miss a lot of deals not having time to go shopping in-store. I like the virtual try-on feature. It helps to narrow down your options and works pretty well for many color products.
This app is will not dissapoint!! It always has great inventory on it and pics of smaller products like makeup and other products, where you can enlarge to read the details and see color options really well. I love shopping on the app and items are delivered in a timely manner. My advice is do yourself a favor and get this app if you love shopping or even browsing at Ulta!!
Used to love this app and was on it almost daily. The newest version is awful. Everything takes forever to load, if it even loads the whole page. Home page is hard to navigate and looks totally weird. Please bring the old version back!! :(
The app is terrible. I have given up on trying to purchase through the app. When you open an item, it's just blank. Can't see a picture, no option to add to basket. I have Uninstalled, force stop, clear cache, the while nine yards and I still can't get the app to work.
(5-6-22) since the last update. I haven't been able to favorite any product. If I click the favorite button it will just say "removed from favorites" even though I know it was never in my favorites list. Need this fixed so I can save items for possible future purchases.
Half the time I can't view anything about an item I select. It just shows the name of the item and nothing else. Very frustrating when I'm trying to make a purchase but I can't view or select the item. I've tried updating and signing out but it still doesn't work. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE
This app used to be phenomenal, I used to use it all the time. But within the last few months the app does not work. You can't view the product description or anything as soon as you click on an item. Very very frustrating as there are items on there that can be used for coupons yet we cannot access them because the app doesn't work.
This app is incredibly hard to open I sometimes have to wait 5 10 minutes for it to open and I have the Sephora app which opens immediately so it's not my phone or my internet it's literally the app it just sits there and loads and loads and loads and it never pops up I would say maybe one out of 10 times I can get it to work otherwise I have to go on to internet browser and log into my account which is extremely frustrating.
I downloaded this app so I could compare prices at different stores and now I always check here before buying elsewhere. It's easy to look for sales (they tell you ahead of time when things are going on sale), compare prices on other stores or between products and read reviews. I have sensitive skin and colored hair so I'm always checking reviews on skin and hair products on this app and find them to be pretty reliable.
I have done everything possible and I cannot get the app to install on my android tablet. I get that infamous message of "your device is not compatible with this version of the app," and NONE of the tech solutions that should work do, and I can't even get it sideloaded! It's pure cr*p!
it's been wonderful. unfortunately the last two weeks I can't see any images when I click on items and I can't see prices. it won't let me purchase anything! it has been frustrating at this point. if they fix it then I could recommend to others. at this point it would be a waste of their time until then!
I loved the app until it's latest update! It used to work flawlessly! BUT now I can't even look at a product because no pages will load. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, logged out, restarted my phone, and I'm still having issues!
Useless! The app does not load. I am not sure why.. Be aware that as of 5/19/22, this app won't load and useless to use. I used to like it, but it has become a useless app. The creator should fix the issue if they care.. I uninstalled, and I install again, but still the same. It is a useless app!
I use this app to pay my Ulta credit card and as of two weeks ago it is now saying my account does not exist even though my card is still in good standing. Because I can not go into the store to pay my bill and using the phone to pay adds a $9 charge, I am at a loss on what to do. All secure messages can not be reached either because the app and the website both don't recognize my account. I have followed all the directions to retrieve my account information and it still says I don't exist.
All my rewards info and easily order. If I had a complaint it would be that products aren't very browsable, you need to have items in mind or go through endless drop down menus. If the app adapted to my purchases and gave me products to browse it would be flawless. But I love this app & if you shop ulta it's a must have. It's very functional and user friendly.
