Ultimate Sleep App – Relaxing, Calm Music & Sounds

Love this app and it's been a huge aid to sleep, with lots of great sounds. I paid for the full selection and was happy to (its just a small one-off fee) to get the variable timer. EDIT 28 May 2022: I paid for the premium version in June 2020, as mentioned in original review, but tonight it's reverted to the free version and wants me to pay again. I used to get an hour of sound but now I only get 20mins, which isn't enough. What's going on? EDIT 29 May: Aaaand, now it's back. Weird!

Just what I have been looking for. Downloaded, tried and uninstalled a number of similar apps over time. Relaxing Ultimate was the keeper. Very professional, well layed out and includes many helpful options. It was important to me for the app to work offline as well since I place my phone on airplane mode when I go to sleep. I immediately upgraded with the nominal one time fee to take advantage of all the features. Don't hesitate, this will be the last sleeping or relaxing app you'll ever need.

Really wonderful costumer service. I had a great experience with the premium app at first. I ran into some issues with an error code and with it stopping. After I was able to reach customer service they were wonderful and continued to follow up until everything was resolved. I love that I can customize and save my favorite combinations of sounds and music. Thank you!

I love this app! It has everything I need and nothing that I don't; a refreshing change from apps that try too hard to impress with bells and whistles that distract from why you wanted the app in the first place. As others have mentioned, the ability to layer sounds is absolutely wonderful! You can play around with them until you find exactly what you need to get to sleep comfortably. And Peder Helland's music is also a favorite! I highly recommend this app! In fact, I'm upgrading to premium!

Amazing app. I strongly recommend. The only problem I have is the sounds need to be adjustable because I only want the 'waterfall' sound to be quite but it is the loudest. The only downside is that there is so many better options with premium but without it you can still sleep really easily. Sometimes my sounds just stop, this may be something from not having premium but if it is a bug please fix it!!! Fixing these things would get me a five star review but I highly recommend for sleep troubles.

I have been putting off rating the app for sometime. At first to see for a week, then I seem to have forgotten. The bottom line is, the app works wonderous for me! A lot of the time many "binaural apps" gives me a headache, but NOT this one. It gives the option to reduce the binaural beats volume, AND simultaneously play other noises and tunes (which are available with the app), therefore drowning the sound of the binaural beats. The paid version has favorites which means saving my fav setups.

Too many options require subscription. There are a few unique sounds. But don't seem to be able to mix your own. And need subscription to save. The frogs were some of the better ones I've heard in these apps, but not enough to keep the app. Better for people who just want noises vs those looking for nature sounds.

I dont usually have much trouble getting to sleep, but if I wake up, I have trouble going back to sleep. I hear every little thing, even the heat or AC kicking in. I decided to try this app to see if it would help me NOT to hear little night noises. It works! Im not even waking up much anymore, maybe b/c Im not hearing things, but even when I do wake up, I am able to go right back to sleep. My favorite sound is the hair dryer believe it or not. It is a consistent hum that seems to do the trick. Would definitely recommend for light sleepers.

Yes, some nice sounds, but "ultimate"? I don't get that. Many sounds seem designed to keep you awake, not put you to sleep. (Hair dryer? Busy highway? Crowd talking?) And maybe it's just me—but I'm more impressed with apps of this type that organize their sounds by category, rather than mixing everything up on one page. Finally, why pay for relaxing music when so many apps include it? Anyway, good luck!

Almost a great app. The main thing that makes this app useless to people who want to use it for sleep is that the sound doesn't fade slowly at the end of a session. Obviously when the sound just cuts off abrubtly, that is bound to wake you up. They don't even offer a fade away option if you buy premium.

I love this app. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have recently started having problems wit the app. It stops about 2 hours after I start it. I have purchased the premium package when I first got it, and it played all night. Now it doesn't. I love hearing music all night, it helps me sleep, so when it stops I wake up.

This app is absolutely amazing. I have an awful sleep schedule, and always struggle to get to sleep, but listening to background noise always helps me to doze off quicker. It's not even required to pay for the main sounds I use, and even if I did want to pay for the extra function (and most likely will considering how this app has been helpful so far), it's only a one time payment for 6 dollars. I would definitely recommend getting this!

To put it bluntly: this app rocks! Honestly! I've tried multiple apps such as this, but none of them had a feature where you could add music to ambient noises, not music of the type this app has. Due to personal reasons, I suffer from relentless insomnia, but this was literally my "Ultimate Sleep solution"! Every megabyte sacrificed for this app was worth it!

I was in a new house. A new environment. Super quiet, and my normal noises weren't available. Downloaded it the first night, played around with it for a few minutes, and was asleep before the 20 minutes of the trial sounds were up. I bought the premium edition the next morning, and have used it for about two weeks now. It's one of the best customizable noise generators I've used. It may not be for everyone, but it's solid for me. Thanks for reading.

5 stars! One of the best sleep/relaxation apps I've come across! I purchased the premium version and it's worth every penny of the one time $5.99! Love that this app gives you the option of using your own creativity to mix sounds with melodies, set up playlists, alarms, and has a continuous option for play time. Highly recommend this one!!

I really love that this app offers such incredible music an also the binaural beats. I turn down the volume on the BB so that it is non-intrusive and turn up either the music or any of the sounds to just the right level and my brain goes into deep sleep mode every night. I can tell you how well I am sleeping since I started using this app. Its amazing.

So far this app has worked great for me. I need to have some noise in the background for me to sleep and having this app makes it easy and it's soothing and relaxing. Would suggest to anyone having trouble sleeping. Anyone actually, maybe you just fall asleep or stay asleep better when it rains out and with this app you can have that every night.

I am sensitive to sounds that are not smooth when I am trying to sleep. This app has the most sounds I can use of any similar app I have tried to date. It also has others that are good background for when I am studying or winding down. I found the paid version helpful but that is very much a personal choice.

I am impressed with this app. The selection and ability to adjust the volume of a variety of sounds together is premiere. And with a timer!! I am a disabled veteran and have PTSD and anxiety partly due to my severe tinnitus. This app is the best one of all 9 I have tried to counteract my ear ringing symptoms. I wish you had a masking high pitch or cancelling sound for ear ringing. THANK YOU!!

I love using this app at home, but so glad that it works on airplanes. Nothing is more annoying to me than to have people sitting behind me talking loudly late into the night when I am trying to get some shuteye on the plane. I just pop in my earbuds and turn some of my favorite melodies and take my nap. Sometimes Ill even add the Airplane sound seems appropriate and certainly blends in well. LOL

I paid for the ultimate however my sounds do not play the full length of time no matter how I set the timer. It continually shuts off quicker than what I set which is frustrating. I have had the app for a while but have decided to uninstall since it isn't functioning the way I need it to. I have started using youtube.

Timer is not reliable, otherwise nice app. I"ve tried using the timer. set it for continuous, but it turns off in a few hours...sometimes. I also set it for many hours with the same result. It is not consistent. Samsung tablet and is plugged into wall power when I hit the sack. PS. The timer issue may be my tablet, not your app. I streamed a 10 hour YT sleep video last night and it didn't play 7 hours.

For those complaining about the price, I subscribed to Relax Melodies for approx. a year. Notice well, their pricing, as you cannot buy the app at any price. $5.99 is a very reasonable price for a one-time purchase. Try purchasing a larger software package and then come back and complain. Thanks!
