Ultimate US Military FAMCAMPS
Please note that in general these military campgrounds are intended to be used only by people connected with the military, mainly active duty, reserve and retired members. At some locations DOD civilian workers are allowed, as are disabled veterans; those determinations are made by local base commanders. A few are open to the public and are noted in our data.
This app does require internet access to work properly. The campground data is on your device as part of the app, but the map is loaded from the internet. When first opened, the app will be centered on your current location. From there you can scroll the map to view campgrounds in other areas or you can enter a city or latitude/longitude into the Search box and jump to that location. To get back to your current location, just tap the Locator icon.
Campground icons are color-coded according to the service branch “ownership” of that facility and also include an abbreviation, thus making it easy to pick out each type on the map.
Tapping on a campground icon will result in a pop-up balloon with all the info available for that location. Within the balloon is a button that allows you add that location to a Favorites list. The Favorites list organizes your saved locations by state and type and includes buttons for calling the campground and going to its website.
Although this is a basic app, it provides outstanding information to users, and we will be working on enhancements for future updates. The data itself is updated every month with new locations and corrections and additions to existing locations. The Play Store will automatically update your app with the new data.

This is a great resource for those that can use DoD campgrounds but call first, there is a lot of inaccurate information as of March 2022.
Indispensable to the Veteran or Military camper. It combines all military campgrounds into a single, easy to use, resource listing quantity of sites, list of amenities, commercial phone numbers, and whether or not reservations are accepted.
I help manage one of the campgrounds on this app and the information is horribly wrong. I can only imagine it's a standard representation of the dataset contained.

It definitely needs to step up his game and have a larger network of people put in input and also it needs to ensure the information is correct and tie in with other agencies
We use it all the time. We did an 8 months cross country tour last year, this app was a big money saver also, when camping at the military campground my wife feels safer.
Flagstaff AZ Famcamp although beautiful with tall pines its not cared for and run down..very uneven ground to park. Rates went from RV $20 night to $30 night with no improvements.i would have left a review but could'nt..

I have found this app to be accurate and up to date, a real must for those who use military RV Parks.
Allows you to find and contact campgrounds near many of the places that military are intrested in visiting or on the way to a new duty station.

This app has listings that no book has. Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, for instance.

This military camp map was very helpful. Some of the sites had great reviews and pics, others were a complete blank. I hope more people submit reviews in this app. I found a lot of useful information standardized for all sites such as if they have RV or tent spaces, how many spaces available, etc. Extremely useful!
