Best car speedometer I found! Even though I'm not totally satisfied with the look and smoothness of the app, this is still the best out there if you can't afford obd2. It has the most features and the UX is easy to operate. I wish there were more dial graphics to choose from. I wish there was a 60fps mode where the display updates smoothly to give it a really modern look. The overlays are really good! But I wasn't able to make the custom app placement work on my dashcam app yet.
I've been using the free version for years. It's great if your speedometer is not working, or the backlights are out, or if you just want to check how accurate your speedometer is. I've also used it to check the vehicle speed when I'm a passenger with a new driver. I finally bought the pro version. Thanks for an awesome product!
My favorite gps speedometer app but a few problems. I purchased the pro version to support the developer & regret my decision. Pro version overlays dont work at all, weather display doesnt work, settings will keep unchecking themselves and not save half the time. I have tried contacting the developer 3 times for support and never got a reply. Besides these flaws and lack of a supportive developer, the gps speed function seems pretty spot on and ive used this app for years.
After trying at least a half dozen or more speedo apps, I found this jewel!! Great app with A LOT of controls and options. I adapted a Garmin mount to hold an older phone (OnePlus 3) on my dash and with this app it's awesome!! The phone also plays my Spotify thru my stereo via bluetooth and I have the Ulysse Speedometer set up to turn on with bluetooth connection and then turn off upon lose of connection.....I just hop in my Jeep and turn the key, and everything fires up automatically and I'm ready to go!!!!
Ulysses Speedometer is another rare tool from the play store. Only because of the Pro version. No ads! Only complaint was on Google. I don't have a bank card to charge to. (nor do I have a physical address!) I paid CA$H for a Google gift card. And it took over a week to get approved to use it? Ulysses Speedometer Pro was the first app I got. Nova Launcher Pro was the 2nd, Cargo Decoder Unlock Key was 3rd. TCL Tab 8 Moto E5 Go Verizon Prepaid
Worked great until a day or 2 ago. Now the only way to close the program seems to be force closing. The exit option only seems to minimise the app, it remains active and continues draining battery.
Has not been updated since ages and has several bugs because of this. I have been using this app for several years and unfortunately the issues it has now are no longer tolerable. The overlays don't stay active for more than 5 secs in Google maps on the latest Android version.
This is a great app, definitely one of the best. I've tried it again having given up on it because no matter what I did the speed alerts didn't sound and still don't, the developer is of no help. A small point perhaps but does spoil complete enjoyment.
lol This app does everything I want except for one serious drawback; it's very irresponsible with regards to Bluetooth. Even with the app closed and forced stopped, it will wake up and start itself, sending updates to my watch. The only solution is to turn bt off, or uninstall the app. I chose the latter.
Have used Ulysse as my favorite GPS multimeter and the HUD is excellent! Had an older vehicle analog speedometer go out and Ulysse helped me to easily obey speed limits! Love the new options & features and can't wait to use with other apps like maps offline in other countries when traveling abroad!
This app starts whenever I'm in the car but I disabled that feature and it still does it. I had to uninstall to stop it from auto starting. Contacted developer over a week ago and no response. Next step will be contacting Google for refund. good app as a free app, paid app behaves strange.
Very cool design but not stable. App kept crashing on galaxy s10+. Speedometer kept disappearing from Google maps. Settings kept changing after I set them in the profile. Ultimately I ended up going back to Android Auto and Velociraptor.
Had the pro version since 2014. This hasn't been updated for a year, and my email hasn't been answered for a month. so... it's over? That's a problem because it doesn't work properly on my new phone *edit to 5* Latest update finally fixed my issues. Best app of its kind again.
i upgraded to pro version. i like the app but it says i can add a starting value to total trips with menu upper right - but that option is not there. and i can't seem to import my troops from the free version either. another star if you tell me how.
Excellent app, perfectly accurate spoed and distance, I think the race part needs more honing as time trails seem to be all over the place. I use it in my old car as my information center.
Since my last review, the developers have corrected the issue of failing to specify the street names/freeway titles. Thank you. The app., now, is absolutely terrific and clearly helps/enhances travel experience.
Stopped working in status bar after update. Not trying to uninstall and reinstall just so I can lose my data and/or go through the headache that is saving/transferring all my data to the new install.
It's accurate, reliable! I like it. Additionally, it may be better also if overlay tools could be manually located on the screen or at least this feature could be added into pro version. Thanks!
Great App, well designed and nice user interface! Has an Automatic, Manual, or Coordinates selection for address. Tap it to update. Compass, Altimeter, Battery meter, Digital and Analog Speedometer simultaneously.
Superb App!! Finally got what I was looking for. I recommend to use the paid Pro version instead of free version for maximum efficiency and respect to developers. Interface and overlay feature is superb. Thanks team for developing the best app. Keep it up.
I had the pro version on my last phone. When I installed Pro on my new phone there seems to be no way for the license to transfer. The licensing is far from straight forward other than the "pay us" approach
I wasn't speeding officer and I can prove it. Every driver should have this app as a defense to speeding tickets. I've gotten out of two in the last 2 1/2 years because of the accurate details the app gives of your trip histories. Been using this app for over 7 years now.
I got a situation here. After going for pro version and had shown in youtube the colorful graphics are still not available. . Should I uninstall the free version? Ridiculous to have 2 version running concurrent. Please help
I have about half a dozen "pro" speedometer apps installed on my phone, the intention was to use whichever I was in the mood for each ride (my phone is my speedo for my motorcycle) but I've used this one almost exclusively. It's accurate, attractive, controls whichever music app I'm using. In my opinion, this is the best one available. I still use this app in 2021. Still the best I've found. I'd like to suggest another function. Can you add the ability constantly record the last 10 minutes of driving? Basically something to be used as proof when fighting a speeding ticket. As soon as you get pulled over, you export the last 10 minutes to a file. If that's possible.
