Had trouble with downloading it initially, had to try more than 10 times. It worked for me for about 3 weeks before an error message was the only thing that would load on the app. The message was telling me that I had no network connection but I absolutely did. Deleted the app and redownloaded it a few times but I kept getting the same message. Deleted it for 2 weeks and tried downloading it again. Experienced the same problems as before.

App is fixed for me now, thank you! After this latest update, I was still having the problem. However, then I went in and did a force stop on the app, cleared its data and cache storage, deleted the app, restarted my device, reinstalled the app, and that completed fixing it. Thank you!!

Despite uninstalling all third party drivers on my Android 10, the app still will not open and gives the same privacy error. I have also reset my phone to brand new factory settings twice with no luck. Going to have to drive to the bank just to make deposits and can no longer do mobile transfers.

Certainly convenient when it is functioning as described. The feature that permits remote photo deposits (alone) saves time and fuel. So, the app contributes... Five stars would be a no brainier if the connection downtime diminishes. Unfortunately, we've lost count of the times the app's connection for services was not available. Still, when it works--it works and transfers, deposits, and balance verifications are at one's fingertips. Very convenient.

The mobile deposit is awful. Checks issued by the Commonwealth of MA for workers comp or disability have a paragraph on the back. The app/camera is unable to distinguish between the front and the back if the check. This results in an error message saying that "it appears that you have taken 2 pictures of the front of your check" which won't allow you to make the deposit. I sometimes spend more than 1/2 hour taking photos at different distances/backgrounds/lighting before it is accepted.

Hit or miss really. The developers should look into doing more thorough testing before releasing a new version. The new update has been completely unresponsive, as in the UI elements do not respond to tap. It logs in fine but doesn't let you do anything. Something that you do not expect from a bank that claims to have great service.

I've always been able to do what I need to do using the app. Sure, it may have a flaw here or there occasionally but it's never more than a minor inconvenience at worst. Keep in mind it's for a community credit union, not a huge banking conglomerate like BofA that has infinite money it can throw at its app (which still has just as many problems). I don't pick a bank because of their mobile app, and the level of service I get from UMass5 employees more than makes up for any app flaw.

My experience with this app has been pretty good so far, however, this app wouldn't open for the past week so I had to uninstall it and then reinstall It in order for it to work again. That was frustrating to have to do but fortunately it was an easy fix. Other than this happening from time to time (infrequently) I like the app- I am able to do everything I need to with it and it is easy to use.

Such a janky app. Decent when it works but it often has problems. Currently dealing with an unresponsive login screen... Edit: still having issues. Can log in but can't doing anything else once in there. No transferring money between accounts or anything...Update: unresponsive login screen, can't even enter username.

I have been a UMassFive member for more than 30 years and have always raved about how good that experience is. Since moving to the hills more than 45 minutes drive from the nearest branch I have been using the mobile app for nearly all of my banking, and it has been an easy, very positive experience. The app is flexible, easy to use, and powerful. Thanks for letting me continue to be a fully participating member.

Broken since September 2020. Phone not rooted, get message on opening doesn't work with rooted/jailbroken devices. Message has always come up, but can't dismiss it or interact with it since that update. Verizon Samsung Galaxy S10e, with current software. Late March 2021 update: able to use for a week or two. April 2021: phone replaced, another Galaxy S10e, unable to get past opening screen again. August 2021: STILL UNABLE TO USE

The fact that you need two separate apps to fully use UMass five's online banking is ridiculous. The app always seems to be down because of server issues or something. It's really not that hard to host a small server like this and the fact that it always crashes says a lot. I don't like not knowing if I'll be able to view my balance or not. This app feels like it's stuck in 2008 not to mention there's no wear os support.

The new app doesn't allow me to pay full balance on line of credit. Doesn't seem right when I'm paying interest on it. Please fix. 4/12/21 The application does not allow you to pay the pennies on credit line, forcing the user to pay interest on balances under $1.00. Went to bank asked them to fix - No Action

I really wish there were a way to search for specific transactions. Scrolling through transactions the app sometimes freezes and is always slow. Making internal transfers and cashing checks is really simple.

I love being able to take care of most of my banking via mobile. But the latest version update is unresponsive at the login screen. None of the button options work, the keyboard does not activate, I cannot log in. Please fix! Yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled. My phone is a Moto G6 running Android 9.

Generally the app feels very bare bones. I don't like that I cannot use my biometrics to check both of my accounts, I don't like that I have to sign completely out of the app to swap accounts, I don't like that I don't have an easy way of transferring funds between accounts from within the app, and I don't like that I have to write "Via Umassfive mobile deposit" under my signature for the mobile check deposit system to work. I've never banked anywhere that had a requirement like that. Pls fix!

Garbage. you dont have access to your umass credit card info, and anything but the most perfectly designed check wont be read by the camera for mobile deposit.
