Umi - alarm clock for YouTube ☝

Awesome utility that allows me to inject meditation/hypnosis video into my theta state where it counts most. Thank you. It has a weird glitch where it doesn't go off sometimes. I think if you terminate the program and get rid of the "wake up" notification from the previous day then it won't have a problem activating in the morning. I'm still experimenting so maybe I can rely on it one day.

This might be a great app, but it doesn't work for me. Everytime I setup the link to a YouTube video I want as my alarm, the alarm's always the default one...it only tells me that something went wrong...also what's the point in the "open youtube" option if it doesn't let me copy and paste the video links? If there's something I'm missing or an easy fix, then please let me know, otherwise don't waste your time on this app.

Does not work- just sends a notification saying "time to get up", only plays the song if you click on the notification. How am I supposed to do that if I'm sleeping? That's the whole point of an alarm clock.-Edit-I tried that already, it didn't work until I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. A great feature to have would be if you could choose a start time for the youtube video

Using Umi I have been a lot happier getting up with music of my choice linked to youtube, which feels personalized, relaxing, and starts my day in a very positive way. I definetly recomend this app even if its not used to wake up in the morning, you can set as many alarms as you wish with the option of setting different songs for different alarms. I love it and recomend it to anyone looking for the right alarm for them.

It works just fine for me. I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are all about. I'm on a galaxy note 9. Anyway, the only annoying thing is that when my case is closed, instead of a YouTube song it plays one of its own default ringtones, none of which I like, and I cannot figure out how to get it to play an mp3 of my own choosing from elsewhere on my phone instead. There isn't an option in the app for it, and when I plug the phone into the computer, I can't find it there either.

I have tried two apps like this but to no avail. I try to set a alarm and all it sais is that "something went wrong please check of you are connected to the internet" although I'm completely connected. I've uninstalled the app nothing happend. The app would be great if this bug did not exist. Overall would love to give 5 stars but the bug is just to much of a problem.

Ever since spot on alarm just... Stopped being fixed, I went to this app, and wow! It basically feels like the same app, but a lot better. The colors are nice and the layout is really simple. It even gives you a nice message after the alarm stops 🥺 This app is rlly cute and if you want your alarm sound from YouTube this is definitely the one to use!!

Not only it doesn't play YouTube links, but it actually doesn't ring at all. It doesn't even work by leaving the screen locked, like the author suggested in a reply to a review just like mine. And even if blocking your phone screen did the trick, why wouldn't you mention that in the description of the app? I think this is my first 1-star review, but I'll change it whenever you fix the app so that it can accomplish the absolute minimun it's supposed to.

A huge flaw is if the screen is on when the alarm goes off, it will only show a notification and won't play anything until you tap the notification. So if you're unlucky enough to receive an email, making your screen turn on a second before the alarm goes off... well, I really hope you don't lose your job.

I use to love this Alarm app...but lately when the alarm goes off...instead of the music you chose for your wake up song...its silent. There is vcd a message that says. "Time to wake up" ..doesn't help matters at all if your alarm doesn't start playing I am not sure Why the heck it does this now. I need some assistance. Like i stated...I use to love this app. But right now, it pretty WORTHLESS!!! don't download this app from playstore! Its broken.

DEFINITELY MAKE SURE IT WORKS WITH YOUR DEVICE CONSISTENTLY!!!! I was so happy at first because Spoton Alarm started messing up and I needed something that played YouTube music. I pre tested this one first several times before I put all my trust in it and worked fine then just stopped like spoton alarm. I checked all my settings and tried different option even checked my security settings. Sorry for the bad review but I couldn't put my faith in it.

Easy to use. What I like most is that it gives me more options for alarms than what my phone has to offer. I also can set it up to turn on a certain video at a certain time and keep it moving. Its a great alternative option from the mobile device choices.

I really liked the setup process. it very was clean, simple and intuitive. My issue was only a notification bar displayed at alarm time, but the alarm never rang. I needed to tap the notification bar to get the alarm to ring.

Downloaded it August 1st 2020 around 10:35 AM. Did about 4 tests. None worked correctly. All failed to properly use YouTube as alarm sound. I was using my WiFi on another device, so you can't tell me the WiFi connection wasn't working. I deleted this app from my phone 15 minutes after downloading it. I don't have time for this.

Simple and useful! Have been using it for a long time. Love it leaves a woke-up message everytime after i stop the alarm. Want to buy ads-free, but seems like it doesn't update anymore. 🥲

This app worked so well when I first got it but now it keeps skipping alarms that I need. Its frustrating! I expect an alarm to go off everyday around 5 yet I wake up at 9 and no sign of an alarm going off are present. Its a let down for a while its good but now I cant trust it.

Useless app. Downloaded to test, pasted a YouTube link in the alarm & waited. At the alarm time, it popped up a dialog telling me there was an alarm. Silently! If I clicked that dialog, the youtube link played. Absolutely pointless.

Unreliable at best. It doesn't go off over half of the time, so if you rely on an alarm from your phone to wake you up you'd be best off going with a different app that actually does its job. I'm really disappointed.

Doesn't play YouTube link when the screen is off. I have allowed all permissions, as per my knowledge, that this app needs. It plays the default music which I don't need. It could be my MIUI, cz MIUI has a lot of problems.. but for me this app doesn't work.

If u got the problem that the app don't open automatically or have an wifi issue: Go to settings, permissions, other permissions, than search for "umi" and let everything marked, it is needed to make the app work without any problem.

I don't quite know what all the negative reviews are about, I have a hauwei and couldn't find a good alarm that played music until I found this, I tested it and it worked, love it.

What I was looking for and more without having the craziness or downloading a bunch of songs. Minus the long process of downloading. Has all videos from youtube just be clear about what song or video you are looking for.

Fantastic idea. Love it when it actually works. Sadly it's unreliable and simple doesn't go off many times. Deleting now after 2 weeks of trialling.

Hi. I downloaded the Umi app. I like it. I purchased for no ads too. But i noticed the amount has been reversed back to my account. I am using Vivo V15PRO. The app works when i trial for 10 to 15 min set time. It doesn't activate when i set for required time. Please help me make it work on my phone. Regards Carry

Worked on day 1, didn't work on day 2. It played the default ringtone instead. Also counterintuitive to figure out how to add in a youtube video.

After I downloaded it, I tried to use it and the alarm won't play unless you manually click the notifcation that pops up. This frustrated me, I thought this app would be useful.

It's generally pretty good but there are times when it doesn't play the YouTube song you pick and there are times it doesn't ring at all or it rings late.

After using a few different alarm apps, it's nice to find one that actually works. Wish there was an alarm test button of some kind though
