It's been well over a year since I posted a rating or review and back then it was great because it was easy-to-navigate given my visual impairment. Even still after all this time though, it is still one of the most convenient, reliable and easiest parts of my banking experience. Which I can appreciate because of my visual impairment. As far as Banks and apps go I truly love this app All Star convenience and ability of use

Although the app is overall extremely helpful and valuable to my quality of life, I have noticed that there is an issue with transferring funds from account to account. Every time I select transfer funds the app moves to the bills part. And then I have to completely start over by shutting down the app and restarting it and moving back to transfer funds. It always works the 2nd time though!

Like other reviewers, I also occasionally experience significant delays in the app when it is loading my accounts. Also, a few times, the app did not transfer money between accounts or complete a mobile deposit even after I had completed the process in the app. I had a strong data signal on all of those occasions. I've had the app for a few years now though and am glad the service exists. It's an enormous convenience to be able to check my accounts almost instantly through my mobile device.

This app is slow and doesnt allow me to do everything I need. Another banking app allows me to see everything about me account(s): transfers, deposits, account and routing numbers, etc. The other app is also much easier to navigate. This is a good start, but needs tweaking. It is sufficient in a pinch, but it doesnt replace walking into a branch like other apps do.

The app is fine. It sometimes works. Couldn't select menu options in drop down menus without it closing the drop down menu and selecting the wrong menu option. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it started working again. Camera sometimes doesn't focus properly when trying to take pictures of checks either. However, when it does work, it's very helpful since there are no Umpqua banks near me. Hey, Umpqua Bank, please open a branch in Oakland, CA. Then I don't have to use your mediocre app.

I have no problem with the new interface so far, but the updated mobile check deposit isn't reliable. It wouldn't allow me to take a photo of the back of a check, perfectly in focus. The front photo option also wouldn't take a photo of the back. I had to try at least 50 times before I got the check perfectly aligned, not with the box on screen, but with a secret smaller box that you can only guess at. Copy-paste response to call bank is unhelpful for app specific issue. I gave full details here.

They continue to have user interaction design issues that create bad experiences. For example, when I go to pay a bill, they show a closed account as default, instead of my open account with funds in it that I want to pay from. When paying that bill, they do not clear out the amount input form so there are extra zeroes added to the number I typed in. It's too easy to skip ahead to the next YEAR, instead of month when selecting payment date. I've given enough info to recreate, and will not call.

Could be a bit better designed in an aesthetic sense, but that's just window dressing. What IS important is that it does what you need, does it quickly and without extemporaneous screens, meandering menu trees nor long protracted processing times. (Unlike having to read this voluminous review, but if you found this review tedious, rest assured that you will NOT find Umpqua's app time wasting.

The mobile deposit feature no longer works, i tried for several minutes and it was complete nightmare. This feature used to work but it has not worked for months now. The app will not focus correctly to take a clear photo image of a check. It's like the software is not coded correctly for the right sizing of images needed for standard checks.

This thing really irritates me, sometimes it will be a few days behind on current balance. Which is mostly fine, except when I get errors quite often while trying to log in , when my name and password are pre-set in my phone, so I never have it to type it in, it's auto filled and never changes, and it tried to tell me "authentication error" or something.arrrhhhggg. you never know with this app.

overall, i really love this app. i am able to easily transfer money into different accounts from my phone. i do have one issue and that is the inconsistency of the mobile deposit camera. i have a Google Pixel and for whatever reason any time i want to upload and deposit a check i have to uninstall and reinstall the app. kind of a pain. other than that, great!

They have made great improvements to this app. Would love to see virtual sub accounts as an option to help manage our budget. For example the ability to create on the fly 10 saving accounts with automatic inbound transfers that can be named things like trip, car maintenance, medical etc. Also travel notices should be fully automated.

ever since I've downloaded this app I've had zero problems the entire time. it shows my up-to-date balance and purchase is pending and it tells me what I have left after the pending purchases go through so I always know how much money I have. and they don't Shuffle around purchases two later in the month to overdraw your account like I have with other Banks. I'm very happy with this one :-)

New to the app, looks good, working ok. Took a few tries to get biometric login to work, repeatedly timed out via Settings > Security Preferences > Fingerprint Login. Was eventually successful enabling via initial login screen. Would prefer to use phone back button instead of app's navigation at the top of screen. Not as natural or fluid, and can't think of another app that doesn't respond to phone's back button. Look forward to using the app more and seeing future updates and improvements.

I don't know why, but this app seems to constantly be undergoing "routine" maintenance. This means that sometimes it doesn't work at all, while other times the information (account balance, transactions, etc.) is not up to date. None of my other financial institutions have this problem. It is very annoying. Umpqua clearly needs to invest some more money into their technology department and figure out a way to keep this app working properly, consistantly.

The app for the most part works well, but there is a small bug that is rather annoying. When you try to make a loan payment and you start to type in the amount you want to pay it never moves rhe decimal point until you submit the payment. So, for example, if you make a 1,200.00 payment it looks like this in the app $0.00120000. SUPER ANNOYING!

logged in last night around 7 to discover all my accounts were gone. I was able to log on but clicking on accounts resulted in no accounts being displayed. all accounts gone! there was just a message stating that there were no accounts to be displayed. ive also had issues with new accounts not being added to online banking, log in issues, transaction searching and electronic check deposits. this is the final straw in a long line of issues with umpqua mobile banking. will be closing accounts.

Doesn't provide much more than online web version has, but if you want those features it is pretty handy. I especially like the mobile deposit in this time of C-19. The deposits are very fast with almost immediate notice of receipt and approval. Of course, there is overnight credit but that is the same in an at person bank deposit. The app seems very reliable and banking at Umpqua has been very satisfactory.

Super complicated sign up process. Still haven't been able to log in or use the App, even though I've jumped through all the hoops and red lines. Save yourself some time and headache if you want mobile banking. If Covid wasn't a problem Umpqua has super friendly bankers on the inside... but I'm guessing nobody wants to make an appointment or have to call the automated numbers just to figure out your account balances or process transactions. My recommendation for mobile bankers is Wells Fargo. Super easy mobile and user friendly software.

Brief windows of usability. They've recently broken the navigation path I was using to pay my mortgage. I just want a big button inside the loan to send a payment. That's it. I just want to pay a mortgage. Why does it have to be such a constant struggle for this app to deliver a basic feature. Where the hell did you guys hide the button now! Finally found it under "transactions" fire your entire UX team they're beyond incompetent.

This app is the worst for checking money status. It's the most delayed and need a major overhaul. It takes me a while to get to the section where I can make a deposit with my camera. It's very confusing. Been seriously thinking about switching banks! (P.S. you have no one to help on the phones when I get off work in the evenings and weekends...)
