It has great potential to be a great game. But, definitely pay to win. It REALLY needs feature to farm (maybe like unlimited campaign, not only once), especially for food to upgrade characters (which is SOO expensive). But I enjoy playing it (so far so good). UPDATE: I finally meet the paywall, where everybody in raid are too strong to move on and the upgrade nearly impossible because the food are really slow to get. So, that's it.
Game of Upgrade and Strategy. You need to upgrade all to win the battle. Lower level means no use at all. You need to keep waiting for gold otherwise you need to purchase to upgrade your characters. If you have money to spend thats the time you can boost you game instantly. Graphics are good, strategy are nice, but without an upgrade you're definitely a loser. With all new tasks to explore, you can gain ranks on different division. Fun to play with as long as you have internet access available.
Designed only to take your money. The matching making on all of the PVP modes is really broken. But it's done intentionally so the players can spend money on the app. They should really redo the pricing on the items. The items are NOWHERE NEAR worth the money they're asking for. Also would like to add the amount of items required to upgrade your survivors is RIDICULOUS. Hardly any ways to really earn them either. Again requiring you to actually pay the ludicrous prices.
You have to pay $ or wait weeks to level up. Nuff said. Just uninstalled. Game had potential and an interesting concept and premise. Just was way too slow to really get into it with the p2w progression walls. There simply isn't enough you can do without $ immediately that would get you to spend any and that's a shame cuz it's kinda cool. The business model is built on access to game modes and not new/op characters or grind vs quick (but that's there too) making it stifling for new players.
New update only added more incentive to spend money. Can't collect medals through recycling unwanted heroes anymore. Can only win through urban warfare, which is a great bit of pvp, but now everyone is digging in their pockets to win (spending mass gold to accelerate times they can fight). Anyone that got a jump start in the beginning will be miles ahead of you. Spent money because the game was fun but after hitting level 4 already see the ridiculous grind. Regret the decision imminently.
I've played Undead Nation for the last month, In total I've spent around $100 on the in game currencies. Tonight I logged in to find that after the first month the daily rewards are gone, it was incentive enough to keep playing and occasionally spend some money. However at this point, I don't care to grind through months of gameplay to achieve very little. The developers need to reassess the free vs pay content. Its fun but not worth the money.
a missed opportunity due to shameless monitization. the visuals are outstanding and the gameplay is fantastic, however the pay-to-win mechanic absolutely brutalizes any chances of victory in urban warfare and supremely limits raid opportunities. you are rocketed through the beginning of the game with free speedups and quick campaign missions, but the games curve is not a steep curve it is more of a cliff drop off at the end of the 4th chapter requiring some serious grinding, or a serious wallet
Its very fun game lots of options, and easy for beginners, late game is really time demanding, supplies cost is too high. Greediness of developer is amazing, when you log in its hard not to missclick the "dont show this again today" while viewing game offers, so you enter the porchase screen options by mistake almost every time you log in, this is really frustrating, i consider uninstalling even if its a good game..
Enjoyable until your base level reaches 5 or so and the gameplay slows way down. You can beat the entire campaign in about a week. The PVE gameplay modes get stale pretty quickly. You'll reach a plateau that requires a daily, monotonous grind through the same levels over and over again. PVP raids are neat but combat is mostly autoplay and there is very little control over much outside of tactics. Fun for a while but stales fast and is p2w in the end with very limited gameplay. Lacks depth.
starts off fun an interesting, but you will be quickly matched against other players utilizing the pay to win system to get ahead. I enjoyed the base management, but not the fact that youd have to pay $20 USD to get an extra buildernif you want to upgrade things. just another cash grab mobile game. skip this unless you like throwing money on your phone.
The gameplay itself is pretty decent, though I don't enjoy your survivors legging it from room to room automatically. I enjoyed the first few hours, my base grew at a decent rate and I wasn't too limited by the horrible Gatcha hero system. All that changed when I got my Level 3 HQ and the campaign enemy level grew to 9. I started losing alot, kept rolling commons and soon I was out of resources and 'Pay to Play' became unbearably pushed in my face. Ruined by Microtransactions and forced waiting.
Second review since this is another semi decent update: Breach scales way to hard to be considered viable without investing in a long term farming plan. Gear for survivor levels past 15 requires an exorbinant amount of scrap or farming a still lackluster UW for gear, New survivors are alright and recruitment has been altered to help with newer players a bit. Game still locks/crashes at the weirdest/worst times which is infuriating having to log back in every 5 minutes. Please fix the locking.
This is actually a good game. But it also has a lot of imbalances and lacking in features. The hero/survivor acquisition is obviously unfair. Funny thing about the gameplay is that you really have to lose battles to match you up to players with your same level, and if it's not right for you then it will force you to spend real money. Some of its present features promote grinding. The game for strategic learners, not for the impatient.
game was good until the update. now it's a bit buggy, locks up, raids - battles time out because it gets stuck loading the victory screen, can't add buffs, cant recruit, can't war. kinda a bummer compared to what it was. it's also very pay to win and man it really puts the $99 micro transactions in your face. $99 for 2 possible characters I think that's a bit much. Oh and in the game you shoot people, bash them with clubs, set them on fire while alive but use bad language and you'll be banned.
Was having a blast but then my login information expired. But wait, their isn't a login... First, what a dumb thing to print to the screen as an error message when logins don't exist. Second, updates should be tested before launched. Third, I know the game says "pre-launch", but that was supposed to end in 2018...excuse to be glitchy?
Great game so far. Personally however I would love if you guys could add a kind of "retry" button after virtually any battle, while still in building view. I tend to have the issue of it basically telling me that my connection has timed out and am forced to close and re-open the game about 2 out of 5 battles.
Amazing, Game. The level up is ridiculous the force you to buy gold for faster upgrades to enjoy this addictive game and always have to update everytime you loggin. For them two reasons I uninstalled it, is more to take your money the in-game purchases very small amount of items for high cost for things you don't need to progress threw the game. The graphics and story line is top notch cool, download it at your risk. This was my experience not sure new members will have it to or deal my intake.
New update is ridiculous, huge money grab. Been playing a few months and I cannot level up to level 8 still. Each update makes it harder and is just grabbing money. Unless you plan on spending thousands don't bother. The game will not boot up this morning to boot. I really enjoyed the game, to bad!
The game is entertaining at first but turns into a painful grind real quick. PvP is highly competitive and it's hard to get anywhere without spending $ to purchase advanced survivors -- and even then, it's random, and I got the same basic survivors so many times. Summary, good for a little bit, but gets boring/tedious quickly, then I deleted it.
