Underhand

Ever wanted to start your own cult? Or wished you could summon eldritch horror-terrors from the abyssal depths from whence we all came? Well here's your chance!

Underhand is a CCG (Cultist Card Game) that puts you into the role of a cult leader. Your job is to manage your cult's resources effectively as you respond to different event cards drawn from the deck. How you respond to these events will determine how far you'll go-- will you succeed in summoning one, or maybe even all of the Ancient Ones? Or will you be just another would-be upstart falling prey to the trials and tribulations of time? Only you can decide!

=========

THRILLING

Whether you're facing a treacherous obstacle or encountering an unexpected boon, every decision you make has tangible consequences manifesting as the current state of your hand. Underhand will have you on the edge of your seat as you walk the tightrope between having too many resources and not enough.

IMMERSIVE

With stunning, almost eerie visuals and sound, the stage is set for the perfect atmospheric experience. Every now and then, the in-game radio will react to your choices and broadcast the game-world's current state of affairs as affected by you, mastermind cult leader supreme-- all so you can keep up with the latest happenings and make more happenings... well, happen.

UNPARALLELED

Do you know any other games that let you run a cult? How about ones that also let you summon unfathomably monstrous deities? Or ones that let you do both of those packaged into one wholesome, sleek, mobile card game experience? Whatever else you want to say about Underhand, it's irrefutably the first of its kind. Play now, so you can proudly proclaim that you were into it well before it amassed a cult following!

I really like the game play and strategy work forcing you to think more of your actions thourgh the game. Slight bug : when you put a Food card for sacrifice to get a Foresight, if that card is at the end of the deck the game lags and the foresightis not activated ! I know it statistically doesn't happen often but it's annoying when it does. Perfect game that I play commuting to work ! edit : guess I'm clearly not the only one who noticed the bug

Great idea for a game, but there could be more cards and events to make it more exciting. I'm not sure if you are even still active anymore but I hope you will try to Improve your game as it has a lot of potential. Another problem is that at times, I feel as if I'm stuck in a loop of shuffling cards over, and over again just because I refused to do an expedition; I suggest that you should add in a separate event to triggers whenever the player does not do the expedition

this game has a skill curve. there is a lot of strategy & memorizing involved after the first god. i have 2 downsides. 1 is a bug that happens when you use foresight before a reshuffle. the foresight is completely blank & you have to pause and resume to get the red X to show. 2nd is the game is too short. after you get all the gods, there is nothing to do. story, pvp, & challenge modes could be added, something to give the game longevity. but for a free game with no dlc. its great! try it out.

This game is incredible. I can't believe this game is free. And not like, "free". Everything is available in the game, without payment. The graphics are great. The audio is great. The gameplay mechanics are extremely addicting. The flavor text is lowkey hilarious. I love this so much. Also, if you accidentally used foresight at the end of the deck, just pause the game and resume to get the X button to close the window.

Game is amazing has great music, sounds effects, theme and great events. Sure game is short but I dare to say it's replayable also easy way to fix for sight back people are complaining about is after a moment of it happening put 1 of your cards on the board and take it back then the X will appear. And to all of you asking to fix this bug it might not be possible because of how game works.

I'd love to give this five stars but the teashop glitch still hasn't been addressed and looking through the reviews it's been an undressed issue for a long time. I loved the rest of the game and the concept though I struggle to understand the point of the final two demons as they provide new blessings but there's no game to use them on unless you wanted to do the game again for no real reason. It's a shame it's not been built on. Or fixed. It has potential to be brilliant.

I absolutely love this game. Simple, yet curiously challenging. It's genius the way you must use Blessings to strategize yet nothing is really certain. Chaotic ups and downs in trying to balance your hand is exciting, and addictive. Its a game that can be difficult in having to try and try again, but not too difficult where you just give up after awhile. I never once got board with it, and I get bored with every android game. Beautiful. Please make more. My hat is off to the devs!

Hard one to review as for a free game it is good in that there's no ads etc. And the core concept of the game is good, but ultimately there's no skill involved and just luck if the deck has the right cards at the right time, so grew frustrated (particularly with greed as if your relic went, the game was over) and so uninstalled without finishing

Very good concept for a game but it has some major issues. It's very repetitive it could use some different events here and there and the content of the game is relatively low, I completely finished the game in two days of persistent play. It needs an update and some bug fixes particularly for the foresight on shuffle bug that breaks the game for a moment and requires going into the pause menu to fix.

After half an hour playing a game, I selected the foresight option and it was a coincidence that reshuffling the deck was needed. The foresight effect didn't happen, couldn't see any "future" cards. Furthermore, the game was not responding, the screen was slightly "shadowed" and no possible actions were there. I had to close it and lose the game. Waste of time. The context, resources, cards and actions are fine, but didn't really enjoy or understand this game, other than memorising all cards...

This game is great. It is challenging and makes you think, its easy to learn and has excellent replayibility. Plus, no ads! At all! The only problem with the game is that if you use a card to see future cards, but there are less then three left in the deck, it shuffles but shows you nothing, and you have to open options and exit to move on with the game.

Absolutely loved it! Finished it quickly just from how amazing it was, great artstyle, great ambient music, it's not super hard but still challenging and fun to work through. The only issue is when the deck is close to empty and you try to use foresight it shuffles the deck and shows you a blank screen, a little annoying but not too bad. I hope more gets added to this!

I really like this game, but I do have one complaint. When I perform haruspicy to see the future right before the deck has to shuffle, it shuffles the deck to show me the future cards, then shows me a blank screen. The cards are supposed to be there but they aren't, even though the red X button at the top right is still there. This means there is no point in performing haruspicy right before the deck shuffles, unless this is fixed of course.

This game has cool graphics and interesting concepts that kept me entertained, but that's the only good thing about this game. The game is uber-repetitive and sometimes impossible. While the events are cool, they come in little variety and the variety is further reduced because you only get the same 5-10 events each game. To finish it, there's only 6 missions. This game definitely needs some patchwork to become a good game.

I really enjoyed playing it. The idea is amazing, fun, interesting. There is a 'bug': when the deck is empty and you use the future seeing ability, you have to go into the menu and resume the game to be able to continue. Also, after obtaining all gods I don't know what to do. I wish you created other game modes with other goals and objectives. I initially thought of rating 4 stars, but the idea is so cool and I had so much fun playing it that I'm rating it 5.

I like this game alot, I hope there will be updates with more content, its getting quite repetitive, but the concept is amazing, this game would be even more amazing with new updates, new cards and new events in the game. Tho there is one glitch where the screen goes blank, you can see this problem in someone else's review.

Chi. Feb 7, 2022

Great game. There is a glitch we're if you try to look at future card, and the deck is being reshuffled, then the screen goes blank with no exit. To way to get out is to hit menü, and resume, or something like that. I haven't played in a while. Other than that, awesome game.

PLEASE release a sequel, or a dlc! I love this game more than any other. It is by far one of the best designed, and most fun mobile games i have played. Underhand is a tactical card game that can be played casually or strategicly. Your objective is to earn the favor of a gallery of different gods by meeting requirements that are unique to each god. The sequence for each god is largely unknown, so it requires a bit of exploration. Although simple in design, it is so fun you will be hooked.

This game is really fun, engaging and keeps you wanting to play more. The downsides are that long games (when getting specific endings) have to be played in one sitting since if you close the app when in the middle of a game, it will reset you. Another, is the Foresight ability where if you reach the end of the deck, it won't show you what those cards are despite reshuffling and takes a long time to close it. it would be nice if there was a fix for the Foresight cards when it happens.

Quality game overall, lots of pros and only a few cons. Unique concept, geat artwork, simple to understand, and easy to pull out and play when you have a few minutes of downtime. Only issues are the foresight bug (but everyone is complaining about that so if that isn't fixed soon I'll be surprised) and the blue filter. I play on Galaxy s9, and there is a constant blue light filter on the screen, its really obnoxious and distracts from the great artwork of the game. It's still playable, but annoying enough that I can't give a 5 star review until it's fixed. Still a fantastic game though, I've already recommended it to a few friends.

I really enjoyed this game but there are some problems with the user navigation of the main menu and the game itself. 1) I dislike that the reset game option is so easy to click on seeing as you lose a lot of progress 2) My game stopped giving me god cards because I never had enough resources, but when I finally did they never came back, so I was left in a loop of resource grinding But I will praise this game for it's replayability and creativity of mechanics and graphics. I can see that there was a lot of passion and time was put into the game and I love that, but it needs that extra bit of polish to push it over the edge.

Sop. F. Nov 17, 2018

This is an incredibly unique and fun game! I only have a few complaints. One, if you try to read the future when the deck has fewer than three cards, you get stuck in reshuffling and have to exit out to continue. You don't lose any progress, but you can't see the next cards. Second, I have been unable to progress the tea shop questline. At a certain point, both choices result in the card being reshuffled, even though one of them should give you the next card.

Rya. L. Oct 24, 2018

Let's get the negatives out of the way: as with any card game it is somewhat repetitive, and once I beat it I uninstalled it because I knew it's not replayable. There is also a bug with the foresight ability when the deck is running low. Regardless, it was fun, strategic and suits its theme. It remained engaging for as long as it took to complete and I would recommend it to just about anyone.
