Decent game but there's very few level designs and sometimes you'll catch yourself going through a level that you just went through, except backwards, which subtracts the first star. There's also no music, even though there is a music option in the options menu, it still doesn't work, which subtracts the second star. Decent game, but needs work.
For a mobile fps, it doesn't control that bad. It definitely runs well and controls well, but the levels often seem similar, with not a lot of variation. That's fine though, as I believe there are different level types you find later on. The use of the freedoom project assets are cool, but the creators of that project have asked for them to be credited. So if you could, give credit to the freedoom project.
The idea has merit, but i ran into 2 problems. 1) the rooms are glitchy, i had a roof spawned right on top of the stairs so i could not climb. I was stuck there. I even restarted the game and ran into that problem again on a different level. 2) movement control is awful. Small moves are non responsive and then suddenly your guy lunges forward at Sonic speeds. I fell into a lava pit before i figured out how to move in a stuttering way of, taking a few steps and stopping.
Well done old-school graphics and a solid core movement/gunplay can't save the same from getting boring fast. The random levels are made out of a fairly small set of rooms with random textures, the enemies are limited in variety but also in number. You never see more than one type of enemy in a level, and only one at a time unless you ignore them and kite them to the next one. If you manage to board an elevator and then die, the whole game freezes up.
fun game with nostalgia overload and lots of replayability. but minus two stars because: -the ads, because there is a TON. (one everytime you die. doesnt matter if you hit revive or restart. and in every floor cleared) -there's no easy way to reset the dungeon, without resetting the arena too. -the rooms despite the random generation still get repetitive maybe add more variety of possible rooms. -after reviving your hand becomes super small and far away (about as big as your crosshair)
The game itself is a nice doom-like game. But the control? Its trash. 1. You cant customize the control layout 2. You cant toggle whether the joystick is fixed or not 3. No option to turn off the swaying. The platforming is nice but with how bad the joystick are it's damn near impossible to play. Huge turn off.
Fantastic spritework and gameplay marred by some serious flaws. The controls are floaty and unwieldy, enemy AI is pathetic, theres occasional flicker on wall textures, and my game softlocked while trying to load an ad. Which is a disappointment, because the core of the game is fun. It just needs more time and polish to get there.
Game is good survival mode is perfect however dungeon mode crashes randomly please fix this.
This can be a pretty cool experience if you play a doom soundtrack in YT Music(downloaded them first) and then play the game. Makes it 100x better but without it its a meh game the controls are alright the gameplays good gets boring(unless you use music)then itll be better and feel more doomy like
This classic doom fan-game is cool, it has that vibe that makes you think your on the classic doom, however the interface needs working and the monsters are just different from the original and makes it off. The soundtrack is different makes the vibe less badass and retro like doom. Overall its a 3 star, stuff needs lots of fixing. When fixed giving 5 stars.
This game is so close to being great but it needs work badly. Fix the ceiling glitch that blocks off stairs you need to traverse, fix the movement that goes from nothing to way too fast and occasionally seems to go in random directions and shoots you into acid/lava, make it so I can aim while moving, and fix the tiny hands on respawn glitch, and I would gladly pay money for this, since it roughly plays better than actual doom(mobile doom at least)
A fantastic little roguelike for anyone looking for a doom-like shooter, packs quite a bit of nostalgia. My only complaint is I wish the position of the buttons was adjustable- I keep accidentally firing when I'm just trying to turn. Otherwise, it's very enjoyable!
Very fun, the controls just need a little fixing since it seems so controllable and difficult to use, but overall my complaint of the controls, it's pretty good!
Really missing its potential. Had several levels where stairs are blocked off due to random generation. Levels become very repetitive and feel like the same 5 rooms over and over. Rooms aren't utlized well and have large empty parts. I feel like user created levels and a way to share them could solve a lot of this and make gameplay better.
I like it, its similar to the original yet different, feels like a early 90s game the monster are very different, my only issue is the lack of a shoot button, I'm randomly shooting while trying to turn other wise I like it, levels i hope in the future have some variety, other wise its great seriously the best Doom fan game I've played, honestly just try it
Enjoying the game LOADS. only problem is (1) you can't press fire and look around at the same time, and (2) because of the RNG levels, I tend to get a huge ceiling at the top of a flight of stairs, stopping me from getting up to the top. Please fix.
So, this is a really bad poor use of the Freedoom assets. I wouldn't even call it a Rouge lite as it doesn't have the elements of one or desgin. It controls really terrible and plays really bad, it also looks awful compared to the orginal origin of these assets. Just look up Freedoom on the playstore, it's an actual good game (reccomend going to their website and downloading the latest version of it) and although the port is abandoned, still allows for support for classic and Brutal Doom.
The first five levels are the same copy and pasted with new enemies sprinkled in, which is a shame because it actually controls okay and the music is decent. Got immediately bored though. I recommend just playing FreeDoom instead, where the assets of this game originated from.
This game is pretty fun, and it's very similar to the original which I really like! Although could you make it to where we could customize the layout because the joystick is a little hard to control because it's not where I'm used to it being so I was trying to see if I can move it so gameplay would be a little easier 😅
