Not real easy to set up and not as good as the other banking apps I've used in the past. Depositing checks doesn't work consistently.
They made is HORRIBLE....payments don't show up timely up to five days!!!! Meanwhile they hit ya with the interest on balance without deducting the payment. Every bank they buy gets worse worse and even worse... VERY DISAPPOINTED
Keyboard doesn't pull up with the latest update.
Love this app. It makes keeping up with my budget so much easier
The app received an update to fix a log in but that lasted almost 6 months, and now I can only see my loan when I log into the app, I am unable to move money between my savings and checking, unless I log on through a web browser or my laptop. The web site on my phone wont even let me cash checks. it looks like I have just removed my checking and savings accounts through the app. dispite being able to see them on my laptop. the app worked perfectly fine before what ever they did in August.
app works when you can connect to their network which is barely half the time. Update- with the new version it actually is worse. after about 10 attempts it connects to the network then freezes up. really wish I could use this app. 8/8/19 update. didnt think possible but its even worse. cant connect most of the time!
Worked okay for a while. Now it won't open anymore. Doesn't need an update apparently, and tried uninstalling it and reinstalling. Still continues to fail. It's quite frustrating and inconvenient not being able to transfer money or look at accounts while out and about during the day.
It's a great app, works really well - one suggestion, seems as if there is no way to check number of monthly debit card transactions to keep from paying an account fee, other than to literally count how many debit transactions are listed. Another bank where I have a business account offers a click on debit card activity and it will literally say "you have 7 of 10 debit transactions. 3 more are needed by this date to avoid a fee." Please add this!
**Edit** Currently using "pushed" update 5.4.26, so far it appears to be working. We'll see how long it lasts.. unusable, randomly decides if it will work on it's own. I found found to android settings, apps, and united, storage, and clearing cache, will make it work,only a temp fix. Love the bank, however the app has had this same issue since sometime on the beginning of december 2018.
This app does not work with older phones. Absolute trash. Update: On a newer phone, the app is only marginally usable for mobile deposits. The app has no ability to use the phone's flash to improve lighting; even setting the flash to work all the time on the camera will not trigger the flash in the app. A switch to use the camera light should be added to the settings. Not a convenience if the app won't reliably do one of its primary functions.
Updating my review to reflect a new update: the recent update of the UFCU app fixed the problem I was experiencing earlier. Now the app is working smoothly again and I'm very satisfied! I'll leave the old text of the review below for context. *original* This app worked great until the most recent update. Now it just freezes on the loading screen when I try to log in. This is a big problem because I rely on it for mobile check deposits. I'll gladly edit my review if this issue gets sorted out!
is very easy to use and very understandable format. covers all needs for banking. however, it bugs very very often and shuts down most of the time I need to use it. when I need to check my account. Once, my card got declined and I couldn't check it because the app wouldn't open.
Pretty bad imo. The app itself is not really user friendly. Loading anything takes time. Seems more like this would be a backup app to the real one. It does what it needs to do, but other banking apps are much more simple and easy.
Are they even trying?! Seriously it's been half a year or more since I patiently keep waiting for my account to be put on estatements! I call in so frequently only to hear the same sorry & pathetic excuse again & again. Because of their stupidity I keep being denied my 3% dividend even though I reached all other requirements! I only joined this credit union since it promised high yield checking with a little bit of everything else I was looking for. I may as well close up shop & look elsewhere.
I have not been able to open the app on my Samsung phone. I continually get the message stating unable to open, retry or close app. Reported to IT at implementation and still no resolution. I must have the app in order to take advantage of some online banking features and this is causing a big issue.
The update worked on fixing the bug of having to keep re-installing the app to be able to use it. Nice job! Here is an idea for your next update. You should make it an option to have push notifications when there is any kind of activity on our accounts such as a debit or credit purchase. This would be a great security feature. I have this feature on a different account and I absolutely love it. that would push this app over the top and I would give it 5 stars
The app recently has had a bug that will not allow you to log in, I have reached out to UFCU and was told the app developer is working on the issue and to try reinstalling the app. well I did reinstall the app and I was able to log in once. this issue is very inconvenient. Edit: verified app info, updated to version 5.4.26, app is working correctly now.
This app is absolutely amazing! Very quickly updated(bought McDonald's with my card not even 2 minutes later it already showed what I had left in my account after the purchase), shows all my recent transactions, I can move my money from my checking account to my savings account or vice-versa whenever I want, and pay my bills whenever I need to. It's overall just a great app. Definitely recommend!

Zelle needs to be it's own app, but it's still good over all
same thing I have to uninstall and reinstall to sign in every two times I look at it. very frustrating. edit: they have since fixed the problem completely and the app is extremely convenient and easy to use.
Worked great until this month. Now it won't load, can't do anything with it. Useless now. Fix it or I'll have to just delete app and consider moving account where I can use an app to view account info. I used the app more than checking via laptop so it really is an inconvenience to not have access.
Good for basic needs. Not very intuitive though. Notification system is way too complicated and not live. It gives you the email notification the day after regarding any changes to your account. Otherwise decent
app used to work perfect. after recent update it will not work. after login it shows a infinite loading circle. tried unistalling and reinstalling. it might sound petty but this is borderline enough to switch to a different credit union.
The app is above average and about as good as any other banking app. Navigation can be confusing. Would I recommend it to others? Probably, only because there is no other option to use for online banking with this financial institution. So 2 1/2 stars (C for a grade).
updating my review been with United for almost a year extremely happy with the app best banking app I've use by far with tons of extra that's very easy to use without having extra portals like my other banks. the people at the bank are always helpful and nice, very easy and try to help you. will be moving my accounts with my other banks to them in the near future
I used this app all the time. Ever since the latest update I get hung up on the login screen. it just keeps loading but goes no where. Disappointed. Update: this issue is now corrected and I've amended my rating.
Imagine using a bank that forces you to update your app, and when you do, you cant view any of your transactions. And i rely on them to not only hold money that gives us food, a place to live, etc.. But also use it for our nonprofit organsization. This isnt the forst issue with United Federal but i have a feeling it may be the last issue. We may be changing banks.
