Thanks Dev, my bad. To those who can't find the photos and notes options, simply click on the day itself in the calendar, there you'll find the "+" option.
I really like the simplicity of this app. It doesn't overwhelm me like the rest and I hate to switch to a different app, but why have useful features without any options to customize or sort them? Recurring tasks are unusable for me. I think there was an Idea section that's gone now? And I could've sworn full entry previews was a feature, but maybe I'm wrong. It'd be nice to find a balanced app. And it should be this one!
It's simple yet it has everything a diary needs, beautiful handy interface, lets you see all your entries which is amazing. You can add pictures, there's a notes pad , tasks , ideas, finances, calendar interface beautiful themes and it works offline ! Oh and the best thing, you can export your entries as a pdf and print them if you want, or save them as a book ! God bless you team 🙏
I have been using this application for three years now, I have tried many similar ones, but not one can compare with this. Everything is done very competently and conveniently, nothing superfluous, no distractions, sometimes it's nice to look back a year and read your thoughts. I wish the author success and look forward to new updates, especially it would not be bad to add more mood colors to the calendar))
Impossible to set security code. After entering security question no option to confirm it and security code is not saved.
Wow, never knew Journal would be this easy. Thanks, very helpful app.
Just need sync on other device feature and web app version and it'll be perfect
I don't like the fact that default add is for note and not a task.
Very user friendly app. Just need some way of syncing with mail and/or other devices. Otherwise perfect..
I have tried several apps but this is the one that I really like. Easy to use, I really appreciate that the first thing I see is the calendar, without the details of the day- this keeps everything private if someone is watching over your shoulder. Also that I can choose what to see in the current day (just tasks, just ideas, etc). Keeps everything clean (cluttered screens are not my thing). Also task list has a great design- love the option to have reminders just for certain tasks. Good job!
I'm going to be honest, for the most part I really enjoy this app, but I just had an entry that I had been writing and thinking over for the past 20 minutes wipe away as if I hadn't typed a single letter. I was typing, the screen turned black, and it was gone and I was looking at a previous entry. That felt pretty awful. I spent time considering each word, and revising past sentences to more clearly communicate what I thought.
Seems nice enough, better than most others. But several things prevent me from loving it. First of all, fonts. It uses a sans-serif font, and there's no way to set up a serif font instead. It hurts my eyes. I've always used Merriweather in such apps. Then, the ugly and totally inexplicable horizontal line in the text writing/editing mode. Gives a feeling that only one line of text is available. Also, very limited number of accent colours, but that seems so small compared to a sans-serif font.
A very good app that I have been working using since the last one year. However recently while migrating to a new phone instrument, all the data entries in the old phone seems to have been lost. Nevertheless I am able to"see" zip file in my Drive which gets uploaded. The data being extremely important, I need to restore it to the new instrument. Can anyone help? There is a backup and restore option in the settings but when I try it, I do not get any option to restore it. It allows only backup.
I was falling in love with the ui, customizable themes, one time purchase for no ads, and especially the tagging feature! But I discovered some deal breakers for me. I would need the notepad to stick with the dark theme, the notepad to include pictures (for a way to use pictures not connected to a date), the calendar entry to have text formating, and the calendar(/notepad) pictures to allow multiple pictures. But for people who don't need that, I highly recommend this app! Thanks!
I had been loving it until suddenly, I can no longer add pictures. It keeps telling me 'an error occured, report to developer.' Any other action like touching the 'back' button gets the same response. I'll have to close from among running apps and reopen. Trying again to add pics(tried different ones to be sure) causes the same thing to happen. Another is the back up. It has to be done manually and it doesn't just add entries since the last update, but uploads everything from the first entry.
Good app but I'd love to see possibility of adding more than one photo at once, swipeable. And I'd also love to see better organization of photos once converted to pdf. Now, with vertical photos, lots of space is left unused. They could be fit all together next to each other to cover most of width of a pdf paper. Additionaly, it would be really great if you could share app with your friend or partner so that they also can create notes or add photos. Add the above and I'd get completely hooked:)
I love the idea of this app but it leaves me wanting more and mildly frustrated. You have to drill thru a menu to record anything at all and then you have to drill thru the same menu to view anything you recorded. All it ever wants to do is show you a 30 day calendar with no data. It's like 5 clicks to see something or write something and no app should be designed like that. Quickly review tasks you created? Nope? Not even your last entry. Show data. Make buttons. I'm moving on.
I have purchased several journaling apps in the past. This one is by far my most favorite! The entries synch between my phone and tablet. The interface is easy to use and navigate. I have one suggestion/plea for the developers; please consider adding a "Gratitude" tab under the "Entries" section. Gratitude journaling is equally important to me as journaling my day and thoughts - to have it all in the same app would be journaling perfection!
Fantastic app. I use it constantly. Suggestion: add icons for the Search and Tags functions to the top bar on the calendar screen, so they can be accessed quickly without going through the menu. This app has an annoying bug: it occasional reverses the colors on my phone, and I have to reboot to fix it.
Could you add a feature in which a person may scroll through their list of things, rather than having to choose a date to be able to look at what the person has written? This app doesn't seem complete without that; I can't recommend it. Having to click specifically on a date to see what you've written is not a universal approach. I'm willing to come back to this app if it ever implements that particular simple way of diary/journal-interaction.
I honestly like this app and it's gotten me into daily journalling for the first time in my life (needing to store business ideas and keep basic logs also drove the need). It allows me to jot notes quickly, search by tag, and it automatically backs up to my cloud service. The only place it fell short was that setting up an automatic backup isn't very clear and required 10ish minutes of trial and error. I recommend trying it for a week as the free version is nearly full featured aside from an ad
I have downloaded many Journal applications and this far surpasses them all. This app offers a privacy lock, notes, tasks, and full calendar. The great thing is you can enter for a previous date which so many apps of this nature does not offer. The full version is very well priced and worth it! Many of these types of apps require monthly payments on top of purchasing the app. So this is a keeper. Thank you, developer, keep up the good work!
I love the idea, but really only like the app. I am impressed with the look and interface of it; but I have control issues, soooooo......... I would really like to see a few additions such as: shopping list, wish list, mood tracker, fitness tracker, goal tracker, water intake, caloric intake/expulsion, grocery list, bucket list, etc. So it behaves more like an online BuJo. If "My Creative Diary" and "Universal Diary" had a baby, it would be perfect!
Minimal and good. Bought premium but No accept or Ok button visible while setting up passcode security question. Backup saved in plain text. Encrypted backups not available. Backing up entries to the google drive also doesn't works even with battery optimisation disabled and auto launch enabled for both apps. Haven't tried restoring content from backup. Please add these basic functions.
