Universe is the latest tool to control your comfort and vertical fan coil (VFC) settings – at home or on the go.
Control your VFC and thermostat settings in the palm of your hand with Universe – update temperature mode, fan mode, scheduled programs and more from your tablet or phone. You’ll also receive notifications about maintenance and usage reports.
Universe is the perfect app when you’re on the go, or don’t want to leave the couch. View your current settings from the homepage to keep track of indoor, outdoor & set temperature, temperature mode, fan mode and operating mode.
Use the intuitive Universe navigation to:
• Change your temperature mode settings – heating, cooling or off
• Select your ideal fan mode settings – high, medium, low or auto
• Update your operating mode settings – hold, temporary hold or schedule
• Set up 4 programs per day for 7 days per week to run on schedule mode
• Program settings while you’re away on vacation
• Monitor alerts and manage maintenance issues
• Track approximate usage data for your VFC
• Customize your interface to suit you by naming your VFCs and choosing display options for time & temperature
Universe is compatible with the Unilux VFC thermostats and all of our VFC solutions including our 2-pipe, 2-pipe with auxiliary heat, 4-pipe and 2-pipe retrofit configurations. The app works with the web browser version and the wall-mounted thermostat to monitor the last inputted change. Universe communicates with the control board located in the VFC to make all updates.

A good start. Devs are responsive to feedback. They are exploring solutions to some issues I raised. This is not a smart thermostat: no support for Google assistant or other IoT platforms. This is a remote control that works in and outside of the home for your thermostat. Remaining issues: -No fan mode where the fan only spins up when cooling/heating. -Some UI bugs: outside temp doesn't work, back button never exits, must choose device from list even with only 1 device on the account.
The app is too basic, unable to change settings such as time format, temp unit in app, when clicked on the appropriate one it just revert back to original, only able to change the temp and fan speed, and even that is mediocre. This app need to be revamped!
No UE testing before launch huh When you click on "How to set up" on an android phone it just takes you to the website with no information on setting up a login. Wanted to try it to reprogram my thermostat without having to click 3 buttons a thousand times but I can't get past the second step "login". Sheesh
Terrible app, terrible device, no way to make an account. The thermostat is NOT WiFi enabled. The HVAC system needs a separate WiFi module installed behind the access panel. Otherwise this is just a dumb thermostat with illusions of grandeur. Not to mention, you need to use the app and the app requires an account. There is no clear way to create an account, so this whole thing smells like snake oil.
I really don't like the scheme they have in condos. They have an app that doesn't work with Google assistant or Home kit. This app needs an additional $199 device to work! And they are not compatible with Nest or Ecobee. Horrible design! Please think of users when you design systems, not just making $199 for a unworthy product.
Ridiculous, so ridiculous. Your first greeted with a sign in page, oh, I didn't realize we had to be signed up, of course no where on the app or their poorly designed website show where you can sign up. After about 15min of clicking and searching where to sign up, I just gave up. You're thermostats are so confusing and NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL. how in the heck did your company land any contracts.
If I could give 0 stars I would. No way to make an account. I have called every day for the last week, and no one responds nor do they call you back. No one responds to their email so then you can't even make an account. Without an account, you cannot use the app.
Very complicated process to use and I work in IT. I don't think it is user friendly
The worst thermostats ever. And this ap is garbage as well. Just moved into condo and saw this garbage thermastate was installed which is useless. Dont buy and download !!
I wouldn't believe why this app is rated as 1 star here. My condo has this thermostat pre installed. After reading all comments on YouTube, you deserve this one star.

Can't even set up the temperature
EXTORTION 101 YOU CAN'T USE THE THERMOSTAT WITHOUT PAYING $200 SO IM SITTING HERE WITH MY ROOM AT 28 DEGREES. ITS NOT EVEN SUMMER YET.

Awful app. Took me about 45 minutes to get working, and even when I did when you adjust the thermostat settings in-app, they just revert back to whatever it was before you have the change. 0 stars would be given if possible - total trash.
