It starts out being fun, but as soon as you start playing online games you just continually get smashed by players who bought the units that'll roughly take you a year to save up for. Those units are overpowered, taking away the exact thing that balances out the races you can choose. Online games are also the only way to make money so new players are screwed regardless. And due to the lack of complexity and apparent lack of any form of customization it just gets really old really fast.

A simple in complexity but very deep in possibilities turn based strategy game. Its older, but graphics is crisp and beautiful. There is absolutely no pay to win. Play campaign, matches vs AI or Players. The PVP is beautifully made, can have several matches going, and easy to flip between matches while waiting for others to take their turn. Turn time limiter is also very practical. Really a game that stood the test of time. Some ads, but I understand developers need food to.

This seems like a really fun concept, but it's extremely confusing. There's literally NO tutorial at all so you're just blindly thrown into the game and expected to know what all the numbers and everything mean already. There are optional objectives and stuff like "Train troops" or whatever, but it doesn't give you the slightest clue how to. If the game devs would incorporate at least SOMETHING to help you it would be a decent game, I believe. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The game is very fun and diverse with all the units and races. But there is one game breaking problem that needs to be addressed ASAP which is that many times when you end turn, the match crashes and a message says that there is some synchroniztion problem which is being fixed. Well I don't see it getting fixed even a bit. I'd have rated this game with 5 stars if it wasn't for that bug.

I've played this game for years. And enjoyed it thoroughly. Until they started the subscription stuff and ads. Back then it didn't have ads. I understand the need for income to further develop or maintain the game but I would've appreciated a "legacy" version without all the new stuff and be ad free without premium benefits. So I've lowered my rating.

Turn based strategy games on android don't get much better than this! This game takes the basic paper, rock, scissors concept to a whole new level. Different units with different strengths or weaknesses AND terrain advantages/disadvantages add a level of complexity that I never expected from a mobile game. I've been playing this as often as I can and I highly recommend this game.

It's nice. Kind of like a turn-based Star Craft. Definitely Chess-like. I saw a review where someone was complaining that the game Auto-pairs with other people. Yes, it does, but if you find the setting you can turn that off if you just want to play vs the bot. While I agree the developer should alter the tutorial to make it clear you have that option and that you can turn it off at will, it doesn't change my rating.

A great game that is easy to put down and pick back up. And that is exactly what I was looking for. Aside from the $2 to remove ads, nothing else needs to be bought, it's all about setting up your board and, if needed, resetting the turn or restarting the level without any negative drawbacks. I look forward to an HD update or a ud version on console or something, I really like this game!

I hate games like this. So many freaking options then somehow I ended up doing two battles at once alternating back and forth. I love turn based strategy, but this is not the one. plus the pornographic ads are offensive... Thank you for responding. I added a star for that, for what it's worth. maybe an offline version would be better suited for people like me. I'm always a fan of games where you discover caches or reclaim broken down vehicles / mechs. obviously everyone else likes it!

Rating this four stars, because I loved it a lot, way back when it was a game that cost money to purchase. When I tried to get back into it, the ads were too much, and kinda ruined the experience. Something that may work to fix that issue: Rather than making the game a "buy once and done" or a "pay for our ad-blocker once" thing, maybe make a cheap subscription service for removing ads? A dollar or two a month, to get rid of ads, something like that.

I was looking for a game similar to 'Advance Wars' and 'Into The Breach'. After testing several recommended games, this is by far the best one within the genre I was looking for. Love the different classes and the turn-based tactics involved. Wasn't a big fan of the art at first but it kind of grew on me. I finished the campaign and was really satisfied. There are ads, but not as intrusive as with most other games. Haven't played online, not my cup of tea. Play if you love turn-based tactics!

Not a bad game. glad to see a turn based game that actually has some sand box to it. So tired if constantly only being able to play other people. This is a definite point for me being able to play with just the " AI " . Now the 1 thing I did find disturbing ( this is what took those 2 stars away guys) are as follows. Not being able to undo a move with out spending money. That almost made me erase the game from my phone.

So far it's pretty fun strategy game, but the main problem with the game like a lot of have others mentioned is that there are way too many ads, I understand you have to make money but ads after every turn is a bit overkill. Maybe if it was an ad before the start and end of each game or something that would be better and you wouldn't pester people. If you annoy your player base with ads and they start leaving, you'll have no money coming in anymore. Less ads = happy players + consistent revenue

Very fun game, totally recommended if you like strategy games. To be honest the only thing to be disappointed about this game is the insane placement of ads: enemy recruit unit, enemy turn start, your turn start, end of the scenario and other random places can all be defiled by a random add popping up, and while the chance of ads appearing are less than 100%, and the ads are on the shorter side, it's still quite annoying. Still recommended tho, the game itself is fun :)

not every action has an undo, which is annoying as you have to redo the entire turn. but a great turn based game without need for extra permissions. does have some popup ads but doable. Suggestions. Reduce Ads to 1x per 2 or 3 turns if possible and allow undo as long as nothing is revealed when fog of war lifts. And allow units with remaining actions to be able to use them until the turn is over

I only played campaign for now, getting to know the races. I really like the game, I can't wait to try it with my friends. Good races with different playstyles. I don't like that some units are locked, not sure if that's the case in online game. Really adictive game for easy turn base strategy.

Amazing concept until the owners of the game attempted a money making scheme. Instead of charging more money for a better product, like new maps etc, they just made the entire system plagued with Ads, or require purchasing new units. They really ruined what was a fun cheap pay to play game, and inundated the experience to extort more money for the same previous good experience, instead of actually making newer better content. Sigh.

When I send the app to background, sometimes it randomly pops up to the foreground. I need to completely close the game each time I want to quit. Other than that it's an overall nice game. Edit: I just switched to another phone(Asus Zenfone 2 with Android x86 5.0) and this issue does not happen anymore. I will try with the other phone (Sony Xperia Z5 Compact with Android 7.1.2) and file a bug report when I have chance.

Great turn-based tactic game, seems to be nicely reworked successor of Grumpy games' "Small War". There is no need to read rules a lot to start. Nice levels design, some of them are tricky and need careful planning. Undo move action is invaluable to learn game rules! Pleasant variety of shapes and balance of perks among units and races. Well done FX and music. What can be done better: when unit steps on a base and can capture it but loses focus (you tapped another unit) it can't do capture!

It's fun but it has way too many advertisement. You feel like watching ads than playing games. ***EDIT*** I understand that a company needs to make money but consider this. It only takes 30s to 60s to end a turn. But your ads are mostly 30s and I have to watch about 3-4 of them for each game. Hence, what I said. Please don't frustrate the player when pursuing your profit margin. There are better ways of placing ads. Consider Skull Tower.

This is a real fun game if you like strategy games, especially turn based. You don't have to spend money to be able to win. (only if you'd make a 1 time purchase for €3 you wont have the commercials spam) and it's easily to play with friends. There are daily online missions that can help you understand the way to battle . Because you can watch a replay from someone who has already completed it to see how they did it to win that mission. All i have to do is watch a video for it that takes 30sec.
