Unleashed Pixel Dungeon

Unleashed Pixel Dungeon is a game based on Shattered Pixel Dungeon (with permission from the creator). Unleashed belongs to a category of Rogue-lite games that features random dungeon layouts, a vast variety of items and a full RPG experience. This game is difficult and you will die often, but that only makes the rewards of winning that much sweeter.
I am attempting to take the game in a new direction by adding new features across the board. Differences from Shattered Pixel include:

- difficulty levels (through the out-of-game settings menu
- top-left gears) Tutorial
- adds useful hints to the dungeon, badges earned only on death Easy
- easier mobs, tougher hero, better drops, badges only on death, save anywhere Normal
- base game, save only at level entrance signs Hard
- mobs tougher, less upgrades, less drops Nightmare
- mobs tougher, hero a little weaker, less upgrades, no saving Endless
- an infinite dungeon with themed levels and monster sets, unlocked by defeating the 4th boss Test Mode
- A God-Like mode I use to test out new features, unlocked by bringing the Amulet back to the surface

- Load / Save functionality (in the easier difficulty levels through the in-game settings menu
- top-right)
- Larger level sizes with more mobs, rooms and loot
- Five new levels added to the normal dungeon along with new mobs and Mini-Bosses
- Holy Altars where you can donate goods for divine intervention
- New level types
- Frozen levels, Burnt levels and Cavernous Open levels
- New dungeon rooms and features including Altars, and Prisons
- New weapon enchantments: including Glowing, Ancient, Hunting, Vicious and Midas weapons
- New items and armour glyphs
- Useful item drops in high-grass
- Your hero can now go to even higher levels, and you get slight buffs on level up
- Your quick-slot buttons now auto-aim on a mob if none is selected
- Items now have level caps, with a chance of failure for higher levels
- Better descriptions of Armour glyphs and weapon enchantments
- Rings included in your Catalogue (click on your hero-icon in game)
- Throwing potions at monsters can affect them
- Lots of tweaks to maintain game balance and fun
- New Ankh Chain
- Bug fixes and more!

If you have any crashes please remember to submit the crash report, it helps a lot. And if you see anything that doesn't work the way you think it should please send me an email.

I hope you enjoy the changes, and I look forward to adding new features in the near future. Please stay tuned for updates, they occur frequently :-)

Its a little inconsistent. You have to a virtually perfect game to get anywhere, add some room for error, so if you mess up your not gonna die. Or maybe an "un-do" button that can go back up to 3 turns or something (with the exeption of things you need to learn about)

In my opinion everyone should download the first one then this one I have only played 4 mods of this game and this one is by far what I would call being spoiled... I enjoy this game though it is one of the nest mobile games in my opinion...simple yet addictive and really easy to understand if you have grandkids or kids that play your phone...I keep both of them though just to have...

Brief list of default difficulty levels based on floor. Sewers: Nothing too hard, good starting grounds. Prison: spices things up. It gets a touch harder, but still decent. Caves: Can be a pain, can be a nice difficulty progression. Generally the latter. Dwarfen Halls: Challenging without being too hard. Ice level: exponentially harder than the rest of the game, save scrolls of MM and skip these if you can. Hell: about as tough as Dwarfen Halls actually.

I just beat the game for my first time after nearly 200 runs. This game has provided me with countless hours of entertainment. I was shocked by the insane amount of depth this game has. It is on par with console and PC rouge likes like Binding of Isaac and Don't Starve, although it is completely optimized for the mobile platform. I'm gonna go check out some of the other versions now!

Great game but had to dumb it down to 4 stars cus the bugs, I died with a full dew vial yet I didnt get revived, extremely made me up set. Good Version but fix the basic parts of it.

Great game, very challenging once you're past dwarven metropolis. However the game freezes when I use the altars and when going down floors. It's gotten worse now as when I've tried to start a new game it says descending and then freezes on a black screen. Please fix this issue.

Awesome little Crawl-like (sub-genre). Love the Nethack influences added in the Unleashed version. Serious problem with artifacting right now. When ever I slide the view point off the rendered dungeon area, whatever was in a rendered area becomes an artifact on the horizon. While this is an excellent game, it hurts my eyes right now. Please fix. (not an issue in the original build, definitely a bit of code that you added/didn't add.) P.S. Edit: It's the camera sway. I think you increased the camera sway by a few points, and the GUI hates. Artifacts all over. P.P.S.: Enemies NEED to drop food items. I don't die of starvation in Nethack this often FFS.

As surprised as I am to say this, Unleashed is a DIRECT UPGRADE to Pixel Dungeon. Everything I could have wanted; and then some. The new features added are perfect, drastically enhancing the Pixel Dungeon experience. But alas, nothing is perfect, and a fair amount of bugs did occur. Nothing game-changing, but still mildy irking. For example, when using a cursed wand to turn the Fetid Rat into a sheep, he will dissapear and leave behind a never-dissapearing cloud of gas to spite you. Nothing drastic. 10/10.

Multiplayer would be so much fun. Even if it's just lan multiplayer with no save option it would be quite fun. I do see why it would be hard to pull off as enemy movement is dictated by when you move... But its the best roguelike on the store and its free.

Way better balancing system and overall better performance than the original. The addition of saves is a literal lifesaver at times and, while you can game the system at times, its nice to have that extra balance for the sometimes punishing later levels.

Amazing game!! Fun gameplay and great way to spend free time! Note(SPOILER): playing through as rouge and got to floor 36 and the walls didn't spawn so I was, 1) about to use wand of blast wave to knock the fists off the edge and 2) I was able to just jump off right to the amulet! Wasn't sure if this was a glich for sure but thought I'd let the dev team know just in case

Can barely get past lvl 4. Always starving or not getting anything useful like healing potions, equipment etc. Monsters are to OP and slaughter me all the time. I uninstalled this once then reinstalled to give it another chance but wasnt better so i uninstalled again and will not be back. Waste of time, to frustrating.

It's ridiculous. Even being 3/4 levels higher with over 30 defense absorption you still get destroyed by a single wolf and god forbid there be more than one. Please fix this, I'm on normal difficulty and I've been playing as skillfully as possible by using potions, wands and equipment conservatively. It was all well paced until the late caves/ice level. The creature's stat jump was way to big. Yes I've used both the armor kit and mastery book.

Every Pixel Dungeon I've tried absolutely hates me and wants to make me cry. This one... This one loves me. It wants me to be smart, but it doesn't punish my every move. Whoever made this apparently wants me to succeed, and have a lot of fun on the way.

Great pixel dungeon variant, but my game glitched out completely at depth 37 on endless. Kinda hard to get that far to test if it's a repeatable bug but you guys should look into it.

Superb and the fact I can play for a few mins and come back makes this awesome. Always challenging and with the save I learn new tactics. Love it

Not as good as PD Sprouted, but decent. I beat the fourth boss on easy mode and no Endless mode. THEN, I got the amulet of Yendor on easy mode, and literally walked all the way back up to the first floor and exited through the stairs on the FIRST FLOOR (bringing amulet back to surface) and yet no test mode? Is this a glitch or is easy mode just a complete waste of time that does nothing for you? Dissappinted cause it took about 3 hours to complete that easy mode run with no breaks...

Not sure if I like this more or less than the original... The save feature, reduced difficulty, and greater length make it more of an adventure and less like a roguelike. It is nice to have new items and rooms to figure out. I like the artifacts a lot as well.

It's a great time waster, and I do enjoy the save function a whole lot. I makes me More comfortable with making mistakes in game which I'm do a lot. Love the mod and keep up the good work :D

If you throw toxic gas in the room where the merchant is, he will be disappear but he will leave some items behind and you can get them for free, but you won't get him back.
