This is actually a really good game. I initially wanted to download text twist, but when I did the ads were out of control, so I uninstalled. Downloaded this game, so far so good, ads don't interfere with game play, text twist should take notes! With all that said, this game does have some set backs. Words that appear on the list that aren't actually words, and actual words that aren't on the list. Fix that and its five stars from me!
I'm a big fan of Text Twist and anagrams, but it's been impossible until now to find an app that has similar game play. This is IT for me. Words used are similar to the text twist dictionary, and definitions are provided. I wish it wasn't timed, but it's still a very good game. You touch the letters to select them, and they're large enough to prevent touching a neighboring letter. you can enter a letter, mix the order of your letters and clear all letters you've selected when you realize your idea isn't a real word. Ads are minimal! I'm very pleased with the game!
Only problems are a lack of a portrait mode, inability to remove selected letters in any order, the landscape not filling the screen on my mate 20 Pro and the inability to continue games when the app quits. Otherwise, it does everything I expected and more. Multiplayer would've been nice though.
Fun, but two things - First, the dictionary is not as extensive as it could be. Words that are accepted by other games are not accepted here. Second, it needs a button that will repeat the last entry, like TextTwist has. It gets boring, retyping words just to add an "s" or an "ed" to the end.
Pros: * simple interface * no bugs or glitches * tons of puzzles Cons: * in Puzzle mode, you can't "give up" and see the words you missed * answers are recorded randomly so you're constantly entering words you already entered * same amount of time for easy and expert puzzles * have to hit enter on every word * dictionary is weird and incomplete (TOR yes, ORT no ... proper nouns like Ares, Hera ...)
like this app a lot. I've been using the easy and I like that some obscure words are there including the easy ones. I do wish that in the puzzle mode there was a give up button or show solutions button so you can move on if you can't find all the words.
addictive, but good. would be better if provision is made to save one's level progress as most of the time i have to start all over again (after 30 + levels) when my play is interrupted
Simple and easy to use interface. Non intrusive ads and a clean layout. Reminds me of text twist deluxe I played on the computer when I was a kid!
It's fun!! So far I've only done easy mode to get used to it. The ads are quick and not a nuisance. Much different than most word game apps. Try it!!
The light colors of the game make it SUPER SUPER hard to see and read. If you could fix the colors it would be great!
Lots of fun Dictionary is great to have with the game and love that there are few interruptions for advertising. Super thoughtful!
Its a good App with Ads too. Sometimes you enter a word, the games accepts the word, but your the turn is over, the word is not crediited to you and you dont get the points. ie. Sit Sat Lot were all valid words but they were no accepted or greyed out at the end..
I love this game. Ive been playing for over a year. The only problem i can see is the censorship. Its insulting and adolescent. Someone in you're organization is such a prude in their personal life it has carried over into policy making apparentally. And whats up with the sound delay after i touch a letter? It is aggravating. I play this game to relax.
I would give it 5 stars if there was the option to rotate the screen to portrait mode for faster typing.
I love it but I really think that you should loosen your bad word list, it's foolish to the point of being stupid. The rest of the game is frustratingly difficult. I like it.
Some non-words; for example IFS a plural noun? Example given uses IF as a preposition (which is correct). IF is not a noun and has no plural.
Words are left out from basic biology and basic words which might be slightly rude. The game is too juvenile in that respect....basically grow up.
Tells you the word is not in the dictionary when it is. It will show you the word when the time is up. Would like the option to turn the timer off.
I love these kinds of games. I'm giving this app 4 stars because of some incorrectly spelled words (as well as non-English words). During my last game, I missed the word "cuing". When I tapped on the word to see the definition, it said, "common misspelling of 'cueing'." Why put a misspelled word as an option? Beyond that every once in a while, I like the game, enjoy the sounds, like the option of a 2-minute timer, or an indefinite amount of time to finish the puzzle.
