Unwinding Anxiety has been life changing. I work in higher education as an instructional designer. This is an extraordinarily well designed program. Each module scaffolds well to build both knowledge and confidence, and increase my ability to make progress. The program is supported by additional tools, an active community, and direct access to Dr Brewer in a weekly zoom meeting. I have committed to using the app for a year. This is app is excellent. I started using this to manage anxiety and stress and it helped immensely (even through sporadic use). I made progress in spurts and maintained the practice in between. After some months, it had a pronounced effect on my anxiety. I regretted canceling my subscription recently as it had served me so well, but I'd stopped using it frequently (but only for making a habit of all of its teachings). I'd expect their other apps to be as impactful.

It's very misleading if you are using it on an android phone. The app made it seem like I had unlimited free use of all the videos, and I was very disappointed to find that after 5 days of using it, it said I have to pay a subscription. It's just very disappointing to someone struggling with anxiety thinking they found something free that can help, only to get let down by having to pay. At least make it an affordable one time payment.

I was loving this app. It was really working for me. But then 4 days in I have to pay to continue. It's hard because money is tight atm and I was finding something that really was working and now it's so expensive. Why can't things like this be free for people who really need it.

Everything is paid or can't be unlocked. It forces you to go according to what it has set. So if you feel you need confidence, you can't get there unless something else is completed. Not dynamic.

The notification preferences don't take effect according to the timing you enter, and if you turn of notifications entirely it negates the purpose of the app. It makes it into a nuisance which deteriorates the great benefits. Good concept and execution with valuable benefit, but poor application.

I have learned a lot from the excellent app over the past week. I have also been reading and studying the book, which I came to about a month before I started working with the app. My only complaint is with the check-in options. More often than not, there is nothing on the list that describes how I am feeling. It would be useful to have "other" as an option, with an opportunity to come up with a one-word description that is more accurate.

Great programme but I agree it's too pricey to be sustained. Unfair it doesn't let u access content u've paid for once subscription ends, & only allows access to 1 module per day (thus extending cost of the full programme) - app says it's to allow time for user to absorb info, but I feel that's a bit paternalistic - we're able to self-regulate our own recovery u know! App is no longer accepting my payments, unclear why as my cards r working. Maybe its fate telling me to stop paying so much! 🤣

It's frustrating that you can't do more than one lesson per day at first, but the one-per-day approach does seem to help over time. The lessons have all been well presented and the material is very helpful. I particularly like the optional reminders that can be set to pop up throughout the day. It really helps solidify the material learned through very brief practice sessions (typically 10 to 30 seconds each). No matter how busy my day gets, I can usually work that it. This program works!

Great app, unsustainable price. I love it, it's smart, easy to use, and was helping me a lot. I just can't afford 40$ a month toward it with all of my other expenses. I was thinking it'd maybe be 10$ or 15$ a month. But 40$ is just too much, expecially considering many people have several other subscriptions and expenses. I think this app is very helpful, and educational and easy to use. But due to the price I'll probably not continue with the program, which is a shame. This could help so many.

Some excellent tips and guidance and quite helpful. My only complaint after 3 weeks is with technical quirks. My subscription was somehow cancelled and it ironically caused a bit of anxiety trying to resolve that. Now, it's telling me I have completed one module yet the next one won't unlock until I've completed the previous module, which it says I've completed....

Seemed promising initially but after 4th session just will not allow you to proceed on free version, you have to sign up to paid version with no functional alternative. At that point I didn't think I had enough info to decide if paid version was worth it. And it's still sending me notifications which is annoying so I'm going to delete it which is a shame as I would have liked to have continued with it for longer

if you are ready to change, try this. I've meditated, but this is different. it's real support for mindfulness throughout the day and unhooking from old patterns. the potential is great. Update: I have been doing this app for six months. I have gained much more relaxation and equanimity in my life. i am 58 years old. I've done it all: therapy, meditation, acupuncture, homeopathy, meds, body work, metaphysical stuff. This has made more difference than anything.

I got a free trial of this app through my insurance provider about 6 months ago and it was so helpful! I really felt better while using it. Sadly, there is no way to afford the app without my insurance. With so much time having passed and no way to refresh my memory and reinforce what I learned, I have noticed a significant decrease in my ability to control my anxiety. Shame such a wonderful tool is out of reach for so many in desperate need.

This program was recommended to me by a doctor. I've tried many things to reduce my anxiety in the past. I've been using it for 6 months and it's been by far the best program to help reduce my anxiety through genuine thought and habit change. It is not overwhelming (easy to feel that way if you are prone to being anxious) - you don't have to commit to sitting for long meditation sessions, etc. Highly recommend trying it.

Excellent app. I've got generalised anxiety disorder and wanted help with increased anxiety due to covid. It's not a quick fix, it's daily practice and changing habits, but it transforms your experience of anxiety. The quality of content, expertise and how it is shared in short daily doses is great. Whilst the price seems high it's cheaper than mindfullness and anxiety courses I've done and the content as good and I've learnt more, and more importantly is much easier to practice day to day.

This is insanely helpful and well made. I'm honestly shocked at the quality and quantity of what you get before you even have to pay. I've tried head space and calm which were alright but this seems like a much more rigorous, focused, and well researched approach to addressing anxiety with mindfulness. everyone's anxiety is different of course, but I'd highly recommend at least trying this out to anyone with anxiety issues.

Don't bother downloading unless you're prepared to shell out the subscription fee. The free modules give you only a slight taste and don't take you beyond some super basic ideas you can find online. Too bad it's so expensive - just another example of the commodification of mental health support.

Unwinding Anxiety is rapidly becoming my #1 go to on my phone whenever I'm presented with a stressful situation. I always used to go to a game which would sometimes make me feel even more stressed but the exercises available on this app have calmed me down and some make me feel much better! It's also nice to be part of the community so you don't feel so isolated in your issues with stress.

Understandle and broken down in to short modules for hands on practice. The pauses if you have to go to another app to check messages for instances. Tools feature is useful. Navigation is very easy, not a lot of drill-diwn necessary. Overall a very well designed app with a very easy to use interface.

Excellent content. Great support and community. The app itself falls a little short, such as shutting off playback when you turn off the screen and lack of headset button control. But the program so far is terrific, with plenty of personalized support and real engagement.

This app can really benefit anyone, anxious or not. The app centers around that mental health that is too easy to push to the side. Some interface could use a little work, but the app is fully engaged with it's makers and are constantly making it better.
