Beware, sounded good to get a good amount but turns out it's a loan, not a credit card. Interest is extremely high and they make it a hassle to make advance payment. I'm trying to pay it off faster and sooner than it's intended schedule but they sure trying for the profit they make from interest. After I pay this off, definitely wouldn't use again.

Not a bad company. The app is janky though. For instance, bill is due by a certain date, I pay the bill, in advance. Sometimes weeks. It takes the money, and allows me to put it in the monthly payment box. But it uses the payment as an extra payment, and the monthly bill is still due. I probably won't use them again, unless they fix this flaw.

Super shady, lots of issues with the company. App works fine, but wouldn't recommend dealing with this company. Many times I've suddenly been notified I'm delinquent on my account, despite having just made the automatic payment, sometimes for one cent. This month the payment got pulled from my primary account twice, two days apart, for the exact same amount.

Downtime at 7pm on a Friday when I'm trying to see if I have available credit isn't cool. Frequent downtime, broken app elements, pending payments not displaying. Very disappointed in this app and it is quickly becoming my least favorite finance app. Update: if you have an Upgrade Card and you try to set up payments from your Upgrade Checking, there's no way to add Upgrade as a bank for payments or via Bill Pay as a biller. Yikes

No way to pay extra towards the principal only to save on interest. No matter how much and how early you pay, it gets applied to the principal AND interest. I even tried calling and chatting with them but the reps weren't even aware of this as an option. But sure this is even legal in my state which doesn't allow penalties for early payments and that includes interest. You should always be able to pay loans early to save on interest

This app and credit card is horrible. Super high interest rates. I paid my bill (in full) over a week ago , they took the money out of my account but still haven't given me credit for it. My other credit cards give me credit instantly, as soon as I pay may bill. Or at least the next day. And every single time I open the app , I have to do their little quiz to prove I'm not a robot. I will never use this card again. I wish I could give it zero stars.

I was approved for a credit line and a personal loan. The auto-billed amounts change every month. They reversed a charge that was fraudulent and then I was fed up. I provided all the proof they needed for this fraud and I was treated like a criminal. I didn't approve of the purchase, they have no security. Update: After being on hold for 2 hours, I finally closed my accounts. I will never do business with them again. Bunch of crooks. Do not trust this company and take your business elsewhere.

Had a great line of credit and then all the sudden the lowered my amount. Always pay on time and never miss a beat but I am being punished with no explanation! That is total BS! When my balance is paid I will cancel my card! Thanks for treating me badly after I've been a excellent customer!!!!!

Customer service is the most infuriating experience ever. Just to change an email on account was impossible. they told me I had to download the app just to review payment dates because they weren't authorized to tell me how much I owe on the account.. I called customer service and took 3 different departments just to tell me that I called from another phone # & that they couldn't change anything on the account which they had me verify numerous times w/ security& other questions. Waste of time.

For those that keep lying putting one star even though it's truly 4 so people would actually read this for one idk why people are lying I called customer service get ahold of live person within minutes .... Yes this credit card is a loan based that is correct on credit report it will show as a loan. But I can make payments as easily as I can on my normal credit cards. At first it's automatic but you call in and get that fixed no issues from there. It's as simple as my discover credit card.

Since latest update, can't log in. Forbidden 403 error. Can't screen shot for proof cuz of security reasons. Convenient. Samsung S20. Go figure it does this when my first payment is due. Logged in via browser and it says my auto pay went through. Bank account shows no activity. Better not screw me over. Taking a picture for proof

Generous credit line. But, Terrible customer service and no live chat to avoid their ridiculous wait times. And the app should have more details with a calculator showing your payments and interest for a specific line of credit you might be interested in. Also doesn't tell you when you have a pending payment but you just made. Sure you get an email but you can't even see that information on the app. What the heck is that about?

DON'T GET THIS CARD! You will always be given a different answer with each call. I have a line of credit and loan. My LOC was suspended due to non payment of loan even though it's automatically taken from my account. Payment was made and 10+ business days later still waiting. When I called they said they needed to verify LOC account even though 4 calls and after usage that had not been said or done. Very unorganized, unprofessional, and in my opinion like scammers.

Does what is needed. I don't know why so many people are thrashing the app or the company. I signed up with the company to initially get a loan when my primary bank denied me. Upgrage gave me more than I asked for and added an additional credit card offer on to boot. While the app isn't completely savy as some it has and does all basic needs fine. Perhaps the complaints are from users who either do not know how to work it or have out of date firmware/software on their devices. No issues here!

What's the point of having an app that tells you have to call an 844 number to change the majority of settings?! I have yet to find where to enable push notifications which kind of the point of having a credit card app...the whole thing seems pretty sketchy.

Decent overall. The huge detractor for the app is the payment system. I like to make weekly payments throughout the month equaling a lot more than the monthly bill. I do so because of my other bills and budget. This app will not allow any payment less than the minimum amount due at a time, and STILL does the automatic deduction of the billed amount, even if you paid the full amount a 2 or 3 days earlier. Upgrade needs to figure out how to allow payments less than the minimum amount like others

Like another on here, I too thought this was a credit card. Interesting they offer it for debt consolidation (i.e. credit cards) yet their rates are higher than every card that I have. Bad customer service and horrible website.

DO NOT waste your credit score on this card. If your able to make your payment early it won't matter because they will still do autopay out of your checking account for a second payment for the month. Example....if your payment is for $124.00 and you want to make a $150.00 payment. upgrade will allow you to make that $150 but turns around and still takes $124.00 out for your monthly payment through autopay. So instead of allowing you to put $25 extra onto your payment they force you into $150

Horrible app. Never opens always says error occurred please restart app. I have cleared cache I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing helps. I've only been able to open this app once!. Wouldn't recommend it. Absolutely horrible app.

This app is great as long as you only want to see your activity. If you are hoping to be able to pay off your total balance, forget it! The app does NOT calculate in the interest due. And, not only does it NOT do that, you'll wind up paying three times...the balance you assume is the correct total balance, then the interest which is also not correct, then a penny! Yep, the interest is off by 1 penny. This is a fact related to me by a customer service rep after playing this game for two months.

Well, the service they provide is topnotch. And fast too. But their app doesn't work on my phone (Samsung Galaxy z fold 3) and when I go to their website to pay.. it doesn't load either. I don't want this to fall back on me because they don't want me to pay them.

Terrible loan company pretending to be a credit card company! Be careful when signing your account, and read the fine print before accepting anything. I signed up for a credit card and essentially got a loan with a credit card attached to it. I am able to use it like a normal credit card, but my monthly payment keeps creeping upward every month, as if I have less time to pay off my balance (like a loan). I don't know if I just got suckered in, but I want out.

Restricted error every time I do anything past logging in. This app is pretty much useless. Update: even more useless since the update. All it does now.is an animated logo and nothing else. You want my money? Make it work.

The app is HORRIBLE. It says my external account is connected but its not. Then I try to navigate through the app and it starts JUMPING!!! I will not use until I see improvements.

The app and the website are horrible. Neither will show you pending/scheduled payments so you'll end up paying multiple times as it still take the auto pay out even if you pay before then.

Absolutely horrible app. They won't talk to me on my phone number because they have some other random phone number in my account that's the only one that they'll talk to me on. I don't even have that phone number and I haven't had it before ever but that's the only number they'll talk to me on which is absolutely ridiculous. Do not use this app it is ridiculous.

Upgrade in general is dissappointing. For 4 months in a row they have been putting a freeze on my card saying i have to pay $ .03, then$ .02. I have autopay and the exact amount comes out every month. I've called every month and they keep telling me they have fixed the problem. I can't use my card for 10 days because of this problem. Not sure if anyone has this problem.

Upon making my 3rd payment early it's stated I was 20 days past due because after making my second payment which was also paid early I changed my bill date to the end of month. I make monthly payments and even though I paid in the month I changed the date they wanted a second payment that same month. My app showed my next bill date for the following month and they tell me it's not. They aren't helpful on the phone and don't respond to emails. My credit score is showing delinquent when I'm not.

The app will not work anymore. It would not let me log in so I Uninstalled the app and re-downloaded it. This didn't help as when you put in the verification code it tells you that it is wrong even though it is copied and rechecked multiple times. This needs to be fixed immediately.
