Definitely played a lot of this. It's the best of the first 3, but it does leave plenty of room for improvement. For example, I kept waiting for the upgrade that takes away the typo in every dialogue. Spoilers! They never go away. Still, fun enough upgrade/gameplay loop with a little bit of variety with the different play modes
If only you could upgrade the grammar and the games ability to fit text on the screen. But really, these are my biggest complaints. I love how there are no forced ads or waiting for timers. You can always make progress, and although there are many different modes, they all tie together nicely, so if you're stuck on one, you can switch to another and come back later with more upgrades / cash. Very fun game!
I've always liked these games. It's fun to progress and make the interface tidy, and this one is no different. I know English might not be the devs' first language, but there are quite a few spelling errors here and the humor is hit or miss. Some of the upgrades are visually inconsistent. Point after point dropped into a 3d model makes almost no change, just looks like a plain box for the longest time, before making a jarring switch to an animal for some reason? Very weird. Comes across as unpolished and a bit repetitive, but still pretty enjoyable.
It's much better than the previous games. There's more to upgrade (both to the gameplay and the interface) and things are well organized. One thing that was really good though was that ship upgrades use gold and user interface, graphics, etc. upgrades use "upgrade points. I'm not sure if the bad grammar is intentional, since I can't find an upgrade for it, but if it is, nice touch.
This is an amazing game and I'm extremely eager to see what you add to it. List of suggestions: 1. Add a different and more intense soundtrack for bosses (obviously it can be upgraded. 2. Add an additional upgrade level to music (only if you can, if this is the best you can do, don't worry about it.) 3. Increase the difficulty and complexity of boss battles. The bosses are too easy and are only strengthened by artificial difficulty (more HP, more damage, but nothing new). Make the bosses shoot more frequently or shoot in patterns to keep players on their toes. If I'm fighting a boss where I can win in a few seconds or minutes while barely moving to dodge, it's not a boss fight.
Yes! I've been waiting in anticipation for UTG 3 to come out. The last 2 were decent, but compared to those 2, you REALLY outdid yourself. This version has way better graphics, upgrades, and unique bossfights. However, the bossfights could use a bit more variety. They are slightly boring due to the fact I barely have to move. Other than that, this is great and again, you really outdid yourself. Amazing what a single person such as yourself can do. Are you planning to make a UTG 4, or is this the last of the sequel? Are you planning on creating any other games? Edit: There is a bug that I have no idea how it's caused. Sometimes, when you enter the Select Ship Position screen, it won't let you out unless you exit the game and reload it. It's not bad, really, but it is annoying. Still leaving my rating at 5 stars though! :D
I really like these games, but this one has some annoying features. Depending on how enemies shoot, it can be un-dodgeable if you have a full fleet because of how wide it is. Also, the game punishes you for having a full fleet in that the upgrades are split seemingly randomly. An example being that i can destroy a level with just one laser ship, but if i have 3 of them, i will get destroyed because each one does way less damage. I've also had times where drops were in unreachable area on the side of the screen.
Confusing gameplay, story and battle confusing, I'm doing pretty good I guess, but it's like playing a Japanese game without being able to read the language, I beat it, but I have no idea what just happened. Help menu to explain things in more detail, or more reasonable resource and travel systems. I don't play this as much as the other games from the same creators.
I have upgraded the base damage of all ships in the "improves" section and I haven't noticed a change, I tested the health as well and there is no difference between level 0 and 15 for hit points because it still only takes 3 shots to destroy one of my ships. This makes It really annoying and doesnt make me want to play. Instead of 100 levels to upgrade why not like 25 but make them more expensive, but also the change be more noticeable if there even is one now.
Love it as I expected I would. I love these sort of games, and this one is super cute! The graphics look so much better than the last game, and everything seems to have gotten more time and love. It's sad to see many mistakes in the language, and there are some confusing terms that could be switched to something easier to grasp. (Psst! I'd love to help you if you want, lol) Otherwise this is fantastic and I can't wait to get upgrading!!! I recommend everyone that enjoys progression and achievements to give this game a chance with an open mind. :)
I'm having a good time, just a few negatives: 1. I'm not sure whether typos, bad grammar, and capitalization will be fixed by upgrading stuff. 2. It sometimes feels like a tablet game, I prefer being able to zoom out rather than move part of the screen. 3. Spawned enemies on the side are most of the time unable to hit them with more than one ship, which makes counter play somewhat difficult. 4. When you get all 5 ship slots dodging small missiles feels impossible, cuz fleet size and small field.
Game gets stuck even choosing the position of your ship. Can't back out, and couldn't afford a new ship slot. Trying to pick the slot it's already in does nothing. Might be forced to watch a video to get free in game money before it lets you leave the menu. Not sure. Had to close the game. EDIT: responding to dev, you misunderstand. Couldn't back out of the menu no matter what. Neither the back arrow or hitting back on android worked. Was stuck in that menu, couldn't cancel out of it. Had to close game.
The game is fun and interesting. Main reason for my rating, there is this bug where i go to the hanger of the number of ships that you can buy, and it hangs there. I cannot get out of that window. I have to forcecose the app and reopen to continue. Very annoying. Edit to developer: Hanger --> Ships --> Select (at bottom) is when i usually notice the bug. Also, when i click on a box to add a ship, the ship is greyed out inside the box. Ok had to take another star off because i cannot continue pass 2-14. I have completed twice and it still says for me to complete it. So i cannot advance further into the game
It's a really nice game overall and it's made for the grind so it makes sense that the leveling up part takes so long but it's still worth it. I have only 2 complaints and they're about bugs. Sometimes when I pick up a green sphere power up after I'm done with it enemies stop spawning so I have to restart the level and in the new travel mode when I open chests I don't get all the cards that I'm supposed to for some reason. But I enjoy it overall and will be waiting for fixes :)
I cannot express myself about the things I LOVE about this game because of the char. limit so: I don't understand the reason why the gameplay has to be so frustrating. Every ship depends on the same HP stats but they get destroyed anyway after you lose a certain percent; my phone screen is big but I still have to come close to an edge to see if there is something there, sometimes I get hit because of that so there goes 1 ship. These points make the game too tedious.
As someone who's played all three Upgrade Complete flash games, this one is by far the most graphically advanced I've seen in existence! It was crazy repetitive, but still worth its weight as a timekiller game! While I do enjoy shmups, I'm mildly disappointed by the complete repetition in every stage all the way up to 150, as there was no variation due to each planet losing their unique traits that changed the way enemies are fought. I'm gonna suggest two more upgrades for you - Speeding up the menu transition speed, and speeding up that long and annoying camera pan to look at the boss ship! Haha! This game has a lot of potential due to the simplicity it is expected to offer in action gameplay, so hopefully if there's a 4th game, that variety is restored :D
Love the concept, but it is fairly buggy/rough as is, my last run finished with no enemies drops or a way to take earnings back to the hangar. The English is kind of poor, I'd suggest having a native speaker go through just to smooth it out. Almost everything makes sense but is jarring to read through. I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay but I don't fault you for it, I don't know if increasing the upgrade effects or limits would fix this. I feel that the speed upgrade should keep going till the ships can actually follow my finger (or at least almost keep up) and that the health upgrades barely made a difference. Some health upgrades litterally made no difference and felt like it took maybe 5 upgrades before I could survive an extra shot? Also increase the pause button hit box to take up the upper right corner, no need for there to be space between it and the corner of the screen. Good potential, could be better with some tweaks
This game is just fun. I find it similar to games like DLC Quest or Evoland, basically being the shmup version of those. The highest points are the gameplay and humor, which by themselves are enough for me to enjoy it. There is an ad system in place but it is unintrusive and completely optional. Only negative I have is minor grammatical stuff in the text and the font choices, but the writing itself is very funny and keeps me wanting to play to see what upgrades do next. Best Android game I've played in a long while
Wow, this game is cooooool! But I do have one thing you could change in the later games, the introduction to the beggining of the game showed all the games graphics at Max. Mabye you could not show us the graphics so we don't know what to expect when we need to upgrade everything again. It really puts more of a "I really want to upgrade everything to see how it looks!" Instead of a, "I will probably stop playing soon because I already know what the max graphics will look like :/." But that's just my opinion, really like the game keep it up!
Good at the start. The game gets irritating when I use my thumb to move, and the base of my thumb contacts the screen, either starting the megafire, or moving me around to the bottom of the screen. An solution could be having the button option for either side of the screen, and disabling touch for the fleet view. Also those ships that line the sides shooting lasers can be too low to get ships underneath to fire back. Looking forward to your next effort. Cheers from NZ
Great game i really like it and with every single addition to the franchise you add something new and interesting! Unfortunately there is a bug in the current build involving the green orbs. There is a chance after you get the orb and the special ship leaves the screen no new enemies spawn and you are stuck in the level ! And unfortunately you have to restart the level !
I still love the idea of this game. But it's always the same. Upgrades are fines but there are too many battle improvements for which we don't notice anything different in game. Bosses are very easy to defeat and don't reward you with anything. I'm trying to get the achievement where you have to finish a level with 5 beamers. I bought every improvement available and I can't even defeat the first ship with 5 laser beams...
