It's gone from bad to the worst user experience I've had yet with cryptos in general. Why can't I put in a wallet address during the transfer procedure? The only options for transferring anything is from internal account to internal account, there's not even an option to paste a wallet address anywhere! I tried both online and in the app to transfer BAT to an external address - to no avail! I've been using the classic view (the older website), but now that's going to be discontinued... great
I wouldn't recommend it. Overall, not very intuitive for me, personally. You can relatively, easily, deposit money. To withdraw, be prepared to take a selfie and pictures of your government ID. They keep bothering me to verify myself. I'm not even trying to take any money out! Also, when you click on the above contact info, this is what you get: "We're writing to let you know that the group you tried to contact (mobile) may not exist..."
I've used uphold since it rolled out and the end user experience was unexpectedly very friendly and had been until now. I've liked that a main focus point has been security throughout and generally Uphold has progressed, along with the Crypto industry, surprisingly well.....until yesterday when it started rejecting my attempt to add an option for withdrawal, and is now crashing the app completely. The suspicious thing is Ive never had this issue with deposit not is it a phone or net issue.
I have been using uphold since 2017 and never experienced any problems... I will say that the previous website was better and easier to use than the new one but other than that is a pretty nice platform, integrations also keep getting better.
Two factor got locked out when my phone updated. Contacted the support team to get it reset, was told they can't find my account. They have no phone number to contact support, so just kept getting the same form email with a different support person's name. Contacted BBB and SEC to file complaints and will see how that goes. Right now just assume they got some money from me and I'll never use them again.
I needed to replace my phone, due to a broken screen. I could not recover a QR code to transfer anything. I entered my saved pass key in the authenticator app, and nothing works. Tried two different authenticator apps. Pressed the "Having trouble with the code" button, and tried both suggestions. First, downloading another app and entering the key. Then tried to do the email recovery process. Once I selected that option, I would get sent to a blank screen, every time. I'm screwed.
Replaced my phone..now I can't access my account. Tried everything my security key doesn't work with the authenticator ..Tried to get in via email verification with uphold they would not send the second email with a access key like they are supposed to. Even when i tried to get a verification email i would get a blank screen on the app..I am completely locked out of my account..They are no help and I believe they are up to no good..
Really straight forward app and user friendly approach for purchases. Simple chart as well with new listings being added and most importantly staking features! Only issue was access to said purchases lol. Completely seperate issue on my personal behalf due to my bankings security. Would continue to get locked out of transactions but only because my bank suspected fraudulent activity. Had the same issues on coinbase and voyager as well so its only protocol. In the end, it all worked out💪🏽🤝🏼🤑
Great experience so far.! An amazing feature which would add more value which I'm looking forward to is the Live Change in the Price rate of the cryptos, stock, currencies, tokens as currently we have to refresh into the dashboard which is abit time consuming.
Says my zip code is incorrect, can't sign up. I enter my address, city, and zip. When I submit it ask me to enter a valid zip. I even tried adding the 4 additional numbers amazon uses for deliveries, same response/error message shows up.
Won't let me reauthorize my brave browser on my android phone. Extremely frustrating. Tried transfering my BAT to a new wallet, uphold has been processing the transaction for two days now and it still hasn't arrived. They also changed me a ridiculously high 19BAT transaction fee.
I think uphold means give up your money they'll hold it forever. This worked okay when I added funds in the beginning then out of nowhere can't open my account. I have two step verification all the security on my end that you need. Long story short I've spent lots of time that I'll never get back trying to get into my account and their customer support is basically the opposite of support. Because your account was pre-credited with these funds, we needed to make a quick adjustment to your balance with these funds not being received by Uphold. You will notice in your recent transactions that these funds have been transferred to Uphold for the exact amount of your failed transaction. If you have any questions as to why these errors occurred, please contact your bank. This is the message they gave me after stealing all my crypto and blaming it on my bank for canceling it scammers !
It's one of the wrost app in crypto world. If do you want trade, please use another alternative trading app, Because this apps verification system takes more than your lifetime . I applied for the verification and I don't get verified and I raced one token. But,there is no updates from support team and I can't use this application. Totally very bad experience and mainly frustrated with the verification process
The UX is terrible. It is weird and difficult to do anything that you actually want to achieve. It would be great if the UX designer actually used the app / could reasonably explain it to someone else. Bonkers!
Yeah it's a good app to buy some basic cryptocurrencies but the chart view is super sucky literally has one line on it no volume bars they just need a lot of work done to the actual chart viewer before this app is anything good. Please try harder. Be a actual competition to the other chart like Webull has a amazing chart packed with tons of features. Be more like Webull!
Really pathetic app. I've been stuck on the same loop of send documents, upload the documents,send the documents upload the documents (35-40 times). No progress whatsoever. customer care doesn't even understand what's the problem. Same thing over and over and over again. My patience is over, i quit😡😡😡😡😡
Very bad experience after signing up and purchasing some XRP I found out that there's a 65-day cooling period. Meaning you cannot transfer crypto out of there for 65 days. I have never heard of that from anywhere else after 4 days you can transfer your money out. Also one of the hardest platforms to use to transfer money out and I am pretty savvy when it comes to crypto I use multiple platforms Soon as the 65 days is up I will be closing my account and never using again
Update: Still having issues for months on end. Now I can't even login to the app on a new device. I did all the steps and nothing works. It tells me my login is wrong, it's not as I'm logged in on desktop fine. I wish Brave used something else for BAT!! ------ 2 step auth process is abysmal. I am constantly logged out on trusted devices, then I can't even generate a code and have to reset it causing a 24hrs wait each time. I have to go through the same BS every month just to withdraw my BAT.
This doesn't work at all. Neither from the web or this app. You can go past accepting the terms, but that's it. Nothing happens after. A little wheel spins, and the button turns green again. Over, and over, and over....
I donno what happened recently(from past 2 months). My uphold account got logged out in brave and i am trying to log-in to my uphold account but uphold is not able to reauthorize the brave app--> always it's showing "something went wrong, please try later". I am fed up of this from past 2 months! Resolve this issue as quick as possible
I've had no issues with the app or website. Reason for 3 stars is because of the 65 day hold on moving purchased crypto to other (cold) wallets. I can see having the waiting period for 1st time purchases, but returning users should be able to move their crypto to a cold wallet without having to wait 2 months. Also, your deposit limits are killing me. You should be on par with the major exchanges.
I am loving how many listing came to the platform, it just needs a more intuitive UI when it comes to dragging the asset type or network it would be better to make a it a drop-down list instead. The modeling prep indicators are not updating as specified in the time period selected. The % buttons fo the amount on conversion or transaction tend to appear below my keyboard on the app but work okey on desktop and browser version.
When in the app and update is available it asks you to Restart the app. The RESTART button at bottom right corner of app falls directly on top of the Samsung Galaxy phones back button and it won't let you click the restart button. That option needs to be relocated!!!
Can you please place the restart "button" somewhere else instead at the bottom of the corner where the "back button" is? Really annoying trying to correctly press it without press the back button. Force stopping the app and relaunching the app doesn't help either. I have to restart the whole phone in order for it to apply the update.
Account was hacked Slow response from customer service I notified them with 40 min seems like it was an inside job I had multiple security features activated. and phone was on me the whole time Update on my account being hacked All my funds are gone and i will not be reimbursed 0 CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY HAVE SOMEONE NEW EMAIL U EVERYTIME they told me file a police report. I have multiple other apps that have never had a problem with STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP!!!!!! Lawsuits will be coming soon
Account frozen transaction on hold, day three no explanation, resubmitted ID, no one explains what's going on. Significant assets blocked. Frustrated beyond imagination. Thank you for fixing the hold. Seriously, three days to get that sorted. Otherwise, the offering on the platform is second to none when one considers currencies, metals and securities including Private Placement Offerings such as Ripple.
I use this only because it was the only option for my Brave browser to get my bat. The layout is confusing, usage is unintuitive. Even things that should be simple, like restarting the app after an update, they place the restart button where the back button shows up on Android phones instead up at the top where it wouldn't occupy the same space as the system interface buttons. Now that bat is on Gemini, considering moving over so I don't have to use this anymore.
