UPRIGHT GO

Your UPRIGHT GO or UPRIGHT GO 2 is worn discreetly on your upper back and provides you with immediate posture feedback.
In TRAINING mode, the GO vibrates gently when you slouch to remind you to maintain an upright posture. The vibration can be easily customized to best fit your personal lifestyle and preferences. In TRACKING mode, the GO keeps track of your daily posture habits without vibrating.

The UPRIGHT GO mobile app is where you’ll find tutorials to guide you along with daily statistics to track your progress and live monitoring of your posture status using an animated character.

The app generates a personalized training plan customized to meet your individual needs, including a set of daily training goals. Each goal represents your recommended daily training time.

the app needs serious debugging. first experience was smooth. though after turning the device off, app forgot the profile. trying to login again re-initiated the profile generation. BUT it proposed "notify me after" instead of weight selection. I guess your menus are all mixed up in this case. I had to clear all data of the app and could re-create a profile. Even though I just logged in (not new account), all profile info was gone including the progress that I made first day.

Overall the app works well for what it is designed for. The latest version connects easily to the device and it has great features when it comes to tutorials and getting you started. My only gripe is that the latest version is always being flagged by my phone as using a lot of battery. I have to force close the app to get rid of the notification. For some reason the app seems to be using a lot of battery in the background (which wasn't happening with the previous version).

This is the best posture improvement tool I have ever found. It actually trains and strengthens your muscles to help you stay in a good posture. The app is great. I love the little man (who is actually me) and the app keeps me going with reminders. It shows my progress using percentages and graphs. I look forward to doing my training every day, then progess to the tracking mode. It will track my posture for as long as I like and then give me the results of my progress. I love it!

Very helpful device for reminding me of good posture as soon as I forget. It isn't perfect - as it is detecting vertical via gravity from a single position on your back, you can have good posture for lifting (straight back) but be on a slight incline and it will buzz. But I can't think of any better way to do it without a more cumbersome device. Overall a great purchase. Very annoying - exactly like it is meant to be.

If you can get over the initial hurdle of actually keeping the Upright Go in place, the rest is simple - and effective. Even when you're not in training mode, you're ever so slightly aware it's there, so you try that little bit harder. The process is very like keeping a food diary or tracking your exercise - once you have some statistics, you naturally want to improve your performance. To do this, there is of course the obligatory app. The customer support from the qualified Upright experts is prompt and proactive. I've also received several messages and emails of encouragement and advice, not to mention the promise of replacement adhesives if I keep training. You'll only get about a day's usage out of the battery, but the good news is the device charges very quickly if you want to top it up so you can wear it out for some late-night posturing. While it's still early days, I do believe the Upright Go is already having effect. Not just because of the slouching statistics I'm monitoring, but because my upper back muscles tired - good tired, like after a workout.

Update 2: Thanks for the reply. But using without an app is not a solution - you lose all the stats. Please improve battery usage of the app and stop the continuous buzzing after 10 secs for example. Update: this thing is draining my battery. Tablet used to last me a week with 10-15% left, now the battery is flat within 3 days. Original review: Not bad, but needs some improvement. For example, if I have to intentionally lean forward to do something for say 30secs, the tracker keeps buzzing. It would be better if it stopped after say 5 or 10 secs, pause the buzzing for a while and then resume if you haven't straightened up. Ideally you could configure these timings.

I absolutely love the Upright Go device but the app is another story all together. It will disconnect from the device and the only way to get it to connect again is to restart my phone. It will then connect for about 5 minutes then disconnect again. Very Frustrating. The Support is usually quick to respond but has not resolved the issue for me. It's a shame to have so much trouble with the app. If not for that the Upright Go would be 5 stars for sure.

this thing has been nothing but problems. first it did connect but because the font size on my phone was too large I couldn't read important parts of the screen. The support team did respond and told me that I need to set the fans to a smaller scale but then this made the fonts on all my other apps too small for me to see. Now it just simply doesn't connect. Just always tries to sync. I'm returning it.

The app is constantly disconnecting from the device. Whenever I start using it in the morning I am forced to restart my phone just for it to connect to the device. It never finds it when I open the app and hit connect. I'm on a Pixel 2 XL with Android P. The app is great once I finally get it connected though but having to restart every time is such a hassle. I never have problems with any other bluetooth device. March update- I continue to have the same connection issues.

I'm really enjoying this device and app so far. Connecting is very easy and I really appreciate that you can turn off the sensor from within the app so you don't have to take it off or reach back there right after you finish using it. Been wanting to work on my posture for a while now, but hated the shoulder straps. This is comfortable, easy, and inconspicuous!

I just now rec'd this thing as online purchase. Trying to set it up. The app will NOT connect to even get started. No app apparently means no device which renders it useless. Tech support is not very responsive and is virtually useless. I've had it approximately 30 min and am already thinking a return is in the near future. Btw, the box is covered with return labels from other states, so I suspect this may be a real issue rather than a single fluke.

The latest version of the Android app is super buggy and annoying. As soon as I start the app, nothing from the menu can be selected. It only works when i message their customer service for help and then the app crashes and the button start working. As for the device, it never connects to my phone. I used it for a day and then it just wouldn't connect again. Their customer care asks you to restart the phone and choose the pair a new go options but thats in settings and we're back to square 1

Good looking app and easy to use. However, I am giving 1 stars because the Trainer mode and the Set posture needs too many steps to set. I need to set the posture and change trainer mode a few times throughout the day and it's really annoying that I have to click so many buttons. Please make this easier and more obvious. -- Thank you for the prompt reply. However, my feedback is for the UX of the application. I do know about the shortcuts on the device, but at times it's much easier to perform these actions from the phone.

The unit seems defective. It indicates bending forward even when actually I am leaning right. No problem when I lean left. Just to eliminate any doubts with me actually moving, I tested it also against a wall and it is behaving the same. All calibration was done, the team even sent me an apk version which is still not on the play market, with new firmware, but it still behaves the same way. It is a shame a simple unit with battery, accelerometer and vibration that costs $100 to do that. Kiril

For the last month or so the app refuses to recognize the GO device even when phone shows they are connected. Wouldn't work on Galacy S7 and won't work on Pixel 3 either with the same version or the app. To Upright, I have a workaround where I must disconnect and reconnect my Bluetooth in the app in order to connect. usually I have to do this multiple times. never used to happen. Still not happy.

Disappointed in lack of configuration. There are 2 modes: training & tracking. Training is very strict: the device will vibrate if you slouch for 3 seconds. Tracking: the device will not vibrate & will instead give you a toast notification on your phone, but I always keep my phone on silent (I work in an office). The minimum slouch time before you're notified is 5 minutes. I wish there was an option to vibrate during tracking mode after 1 minute. Also would like to configure the slouch angle.

Frustrating app experience so far - there's a horrible persistent (can't make it go away) notification whenever the device is connected! The app's internal notification settings do not allow you to turn this off, so you have a permanent notification saying it is connected. I turned off all notifications for the app in the phone settings menu, but worry I am missing actually important notifications about my posture. If so, I will probably return the device. Tried EVERYTHING to pair the device, finally had to message w support (and try everything again) they were nice tho. Finally, a firmware update was needed. Had to hold down the button for a solid 30 secs and wait ten minutes for the app update on phone. Boom, it works. I am confused by the tracking vs training settings, seems you have to choose between device vib feedback w/o history or history w/o feedback. Note: I'm against devs deleting review posts, will repost if deleted again.

Had a small issue with connecting to an Android 8.0.0 phone. But the built in customer support from the connect screen (top right hand corner) was (A) very quick to respond, (B) very helpful and polite in their response, and (C) actually helped me to solve the problem. Device is connected now. No problems! Great idea for a wearable and a good looking app. Well done.

1 week in - So far so good. Pros: Light weight Necklace attachment rocks Tracks and trains my progress daily 1 week in and already seeing improvements in my posture Cons: It does lose my training and tracking if I close the app and reopen it. None of my time is updated, even when the device has been on and alerting me with vibrations when I slouch. No friend sharing to compete (like Fitbit) Need to adjust posture too much (Sometimes the app shows dramatic slouching with slight head movement)

Tom. B. Dec 25, 2019

Great device but lots of connection issues. About 25% of the time it won't connect without turning my phone on / off. And app shuts down randomly throughout the day, device still tracks / trains correctly but when I look at the phone the app isn't running. Pixel 3 android v10 EDIT Support got in touch, haven't had a connection issue for a few weeks now.

Amazing! Genius idea! Great job Upright team! 👍👍👍 Was skeptical for a while, but finally decides to give Uptight a try, especially with the updated version Go 2 out, and I'm glad I did! Sleek design, comfortable (the posture warning vibration for me is also a reminder that the sensor is actually attached to me!!:D ) amazing, reusable, long lasting adhesive, very user friendly, and actually effective! Keep up the good work Upright!

This device has really helped with my back pain and I am quite happy with it. I really with the app could automatically switch to tracking mode at certain times. Wish there was an option for that. The chat and help feature totally confuses me. But the core functionality is great. L

Jek. V. Jun 2, 2019

I had a really bad experience with both the app and the device. After roughly a month of trying to solve connection issues, which was a lot of effort, the device stopped connecting altogether. The support team was responsive and tried to help, but even after a custom app update the issue was not resolved.

I do think this product is helping my posture. it is uncomfortable to put the effort into changing my atrocious posture, but a nessecity. I do wish it were more technical for the price I paid. I do hope later models will use more advanced technology so you can use the attachment in multiple positions without resetting. The add shows a woman doing yoga. Well this one does not allow for that. Forget doing chores like laundry or floors without the attachment going off like crazy. sticks well.

Love the device but not the app. My biggest complaints are that 1) why the heck does it need location services?! I keep mine off to save battery life. 2) app disconnects randomly, or maybe cus I turn off location services after calibration. 3) it should be more clear how to adjust time til vibration and range.... those options are there ppl, but I had to Google to figure it out.

Was very excited to try this out. Easy to set up and use. Forget I'm wearing it (necklace). Only issue is continuing disconnection roughly every hour. No solution from chat help, but will persevere as it makes me think of my posture and correct it through the day. Just annoying to need to reconnect so often.

Luq. J. Jun 13, 2019

Things I learned from the device: 1. My posture isn't as bad as I thought. 2. I drop my posture if I stay seated for more than 2 hours. So I've adjusted my routine accordingly. 3. This device rarely factors in certain issues like a forward neck or a tight chest which can also compromise your posture. It focuses more on your thoracic spine alignment. Great gadget, and I don't have any issues with the app either. It's nice to get you on track.

I'm truly Impressed! I've tried harnesses, excercises and even tried to maintain the correct posture but couldn't stay cognizant of it long enough to make a difference with muscle memory. This device actually works the way it's intended. It vibrates when you slouch (like a shock collar for dogs, lol) so you immediately correct the slouching and sit upright. After wearing it for so long, you'll catch yourself automatically correcting posture and the device will vibrate less & less. Def worth it

I like it and would buy it again but i don't think this would be for everyone. It constantly disconnects and does not report data during its time being disconnected even once reconnected, so the only effective mode is training mode. In rhis mode the device vibrates somewhat loudly when you slouch, so for me working at home its fine and the device is doing its job. If i worked in an office where i might be self conscious about the vibrsting though i don't think i would get much use from this.
