Was good once, now annoying. I only use 10% of the features. Installed and bought (!) it years ago because I just wanted a simple but working bike app (especially with my heart rate sensor). Now, like nearly every other sports app, it became a super fancy "all in one I can everything" app, and wants to sell you a subscription. Every few app starts you have to watch a subscription ad for the ad. Annoying. I will look for another bike app..
I've been using this brilliant DETAILED app since 18 months. Forget ridiculously expensive cycling computers; you have Urban Biker app? The developer responds to suggestions that I email occasionally. The POWER figures must appear more quickly on the screen; they have a lag of several seconds which isn't useful. When I start, I should be able to pause the main ride and start a smaller segment within to check my FTP etc. I should get data without starting a new ride. Thanks & God bless.
I use it every ride. Very good! Since ver 7 offline maps didn't work anymore. Needed to select folder again and it copied the files to an internal(?) folder. Works again but now consumes twice of some Gigs of storage :-(
Latest update last 12/14/2021 resulted to system bug: Offline maps problem Map file not found is not accessible. Choose some other maps file/folder now? After clicking YES and selecting map file, the apps terminated and no luck to use the offline maps. 🌐 Hope developer will resolved this bugs on next update.
Useful application. Includes power meter for biking. No crashes. Supports OpenStreetMaps offline files .map . App suggested. Update 27/12/2021: still satisfied with this app. The addition of "Vibration" info is so useful for understanding sports training. Very recommended app.
Closest thing to a real bike computer on your phone. Connect all your sensors (speed, cadence, heart rate, power).
After using it for some time now, I found that this app does not have auto pause and auto start which is very much needed in the city. I have been stoping it myself when I remember and sometimes forgot to restart which I hate. Also while pausing, I hac accidentally ended the run and started a new one without knowing, this is frustrating. Second update, I was promptly contacted by the developer which is a great plus and showed me that I was wrong and where to find the feature I was looking for.
This for me as a biker is super useful, basically a satnav for my bike. The sounds are sometimes difficult to get your head round what's actually going on, why and turning them off. Maps I've found don't work for offline, I believe this is because you need to unzip them and therefore need a Windows pc. It would be really good if the screen would rotate with North so that when looking at where I'm going I'm not having to see myself going towards myself on the map, so I am always going forward.
Really good app for what I want. I like that you don't have to have an account. So things I'd like more flexibility on, like darker markings of bike paths on map, and of course the choices on the meters aren't exactly what I want, but this is the first one I tried after researching them and have not wanted to switch
Updated review: best cycling app. Period. I connected a Bluetooth cadence, speed/distance, and heart rate sensor (3 separate sensors) all at once, but you don't need any sensors to get speed and distance as you can rely on GPS if you get good GPS reception where you ride. Tons of features, basic features are intuitive but you can deep dive into more complicated stuff . . . Does more than you think at first glance. Tech support is top notch. Buy the license to support these folks!
I have been using this app for several years and it fits my needs perfectly. It is my bike computer both on the road and on MTB trails. Has all of the info I want including maps; and the ability to quickly change between full statistics and map+stats is brilliant. The developer keeps improving the software and just added strava upload. That was probably the last big feature it was missing. Sweet!
Awesome app! A lot more customisable than Strava, the wattage figures seem more plausible and the ability to finish rides and resume them again if you want to is a winner. You can even upload a ride to Strava after the fact! My only gripe is that some functions and options seem buried in the interface and are not always intuitive (like bike and rider weights only found under a long tap on the power icon). Segments would be great, but then you don't get that for free anywhere anymore...
I used to use a bike computer and pocket my phone. When I found this app the revelation of having your phone do everything a separate computer does (and more) was life changing. In addition all your phone functions right at your fingertips. This app is freaking amazing. Far more features than you could ever get on a bike computer and 10x the processing power. Next Step - Record rides on your phone with heads up display for playback later. That would be AWESOME.
I really like this app. It is a great bike computer and can display a wealth of data. Over not tried it with a hrm or power meter but it has the ability to display this too. Integration with Strava is seamless. The map works well but I wish it could display a route or give turn by turns. The only slight gripe is that when you set up a geo fence to hide you address the recorded route can have a slight glitch, but for such a good and free app I'm not complaining!
The UI is cumbersome to put it lightly. I would like to be able to click any part of my recorded route on the map and see the instantaneous speed at the point. It would be great if the route was colored: say dark blue indicates the lowest speed and yellow indicates the highest. It's gonna be nice if map was divided and each interval showed the average speed for it. If the ride is not finished I can't find the way to see all the stats.
Just installed and getting it set up. I live in the US so the first change was to update the units, as I read from other reviews it is set up on the metric system by default. As one reviewer mentioned, finding this setting takes a bit of hunting so let me help. The path to update this is Settings>Display>Units. Once there, you can toggle btw imperial/metric for all of the settings like distance, speed, weight, etc. Haven't used yet so I will update my review after several rides.
Simply excellent. Speed value is accurate (compared against an independent bike computer), mapping is accurate, display is legible even in bright sun light, simple to use, synchronise data with Google Fit, etc. Just an excellent app with the occasional ad. Only downside is that I'd like to see some summary stats e.g. total distance in a month, average speed over a month, number of rides along the same route etc. If I can export the data then it would be possible to analyse it manually.
Generally good, just three little things: - when ending a ride, give an option to instantly end/stop/finish the ride - upon ending/stopping/finishing the ride, auto-upload to Strava - a more modern-looking UI would be nice (doesn't have to look like a "classic" bike computer. Apps like Strava have a nice and clean look, but lack features that this app has) And maybe add more bell sounds, like that of a more modern bicycle bell.
This app provides the beginner cyclist data to motivate more performance! I am not sure what the difference is between the paid version and the free one - I paid to remove the ads and that's enough for me. I also purchased cadence and speed sensors and initially mounted the phone on handle bars to keep an eye on data while riding, but found it was more enjoyable to look at the data afterwards and make corrections in the next ride. Love the app.
Take your time to experiment with this terrific program for awhile. It's robust and extremely capable but will do so much that some parts may seem puzzling at first. Be patient, it's well worth learning! I suggest you start by going through the "settings" and various screen displays and you will quickly begin to understand the logic behind it!
the ap opens up, but when I start to ride, nothing works other than the time display and horn. speedometer does nothing, distance, duration all nothing. do I have to pay to use the most basic features? thank you for letting me know how it works. its seems to be working fine now. I like how I can use the map in the background, but keep all the stats up on top of it. excellent app.
I really had high hopes for this app but it did not work well for me. I needed a speedometer for my motorized bike and this app seemed like one of the best but it did not perform well. I had to keep starting and stopping the app to get the speedometer to start and then the speed indicator was all over the place. Weird occasionally it worked right most of the time it didn't. I even bought the premium version, disappointed.
Downloaded this app in attempt to use my Samsung Galaxy A10 phone as my cycling computer. Very satisfied and upgraded with extra price support to eliminate bothersome ads. 1) very accurate map charting (uses Google Maps) 2) Suprising accurate speed record. 3) Altitude is less accurate, but in relative terms not too bad. Fun to know. I climb the cinder cone peaks around 4) Total milage for up to 2 bikes logged in setup area. 5) If app turns off during ride, restarting shoes no data loss. Nice
Very convenient and accurate. Would like to see a total distance odometer in addition to odometer. 05/01/22. You did it. Added an odometer for total milage/KM and re arranged the info where it is easy to see all the stats at a glance. Very accurate as I have tested it several times with routine routes.😎👍👍👍
