This was a 2 star review, I based that on perceived laziness for the mobile app state. However you guys came through and made it look really nice, it's fast, looks good, market place functions like the website, and job well done on the hard work. I can always see room for improvement and any great company can take the critisms of it's people, I'd like to see old cards getting revamped with better stats (Robyn from Sentinel is 1 power 7 damage) cards like that stop a 5 star rating. Great job!
Long time player on and off, I feel like navigation is very different compared to desktop and is a lot more difficult. Very difficult to adjust your deck. Also, I still haven't received my credits for watching the videos and that was nearly a day ago
I just reinstalled this game after years of not playing it and apparently I only have 9 cards..! My account is from 2010 so I guess they wiped all my data. Thanks! Apart from that I have a terrible user experience. Trivial things seem hard to do... I can only imagine how lost rookies must be. I mean... I've known this game for 15 years and am completely confused as to how to get things done.
Not as great as before, specially the creation and addition of cards to a deck. Could be a lot more simple and graphically easy for the player.
great game and have been playing on and off for numerous years since 2011. I've recently downloaded the app and is great for the battles, but needs a bit of work on the collection. it's frustrating trying to navigate. Also you can't open your messages and the market also. unless you go through the collection page. but overall still enjoying it
This game is as great as I remember. There is so much potential in this game and so many thinfs that could be improve. To add people as friends and messaging people is hard. I wish socializing in this game is better. The game overall perfomance is good. The game is really slow for me everytime I press a button. When I want to change modes, getting new cards, pressing button to room, decks, collections and others. I wish the perfomance would be better. :)
It became complicated over the years but it has the same mind game quality. However, the return feature was gone. You can resume your disconnected game before (Flash era) unlike now, it just freezes on times when the client round doesnt match the server round and you can't skip/go back to reload . It makes you lose the match which is bad if you're playing in EFC or tourney mode.
just need to work on the user friendliness a little more. Make the collection easier to navigate. Add the market to the app instead of having to find it through collection. I can't click on my mailbox in the app either. A cool feature to add would be a little showcase on your profile- being able to add 3-5 of your favourite cards for people to see when they click your profile would be cool!
Awesome game! Great to see it mobile, makes it easier to play for me. Also been a player of the game since 2007. Really like the improvements both in artwork (one of the reasons that I kept coming back every year despite not playing often) and gameplay (character abilities). Also really like that is WAY easier to acquire new cards and clintz, it was a pain in the beginning, sadly but true.
The game is fun, but your tutorial is complete trash. It explains things horribly, misses a lot, and barely answers any questions a player may have. It also never shows exactly how any of it works. Just kinda tells you a little bit and expects you to get it. Game would get 5 stars if I didn't have to go to Google and YouTube to learn how to play. Trash teaching system. Great game.
Please fix bug market is not shows all items, the back button sometimes shows revert arrow and play button click go to the account information. Overall game is very good. Fixing and 5 stars. The updated version is not fixing bug about market.
Returning to the game after several years away was difficult, as some other reviews have mentioned, but things like arcade helped regain a good card base and catch up. Downsides are that the market is now absurd (holy inflation, Batman!) and leveling has changed dramatically. It took years to get to lvl50; I jumped to 82 within a single day. I also think mobile support for deck building and markets need to be better, since you can't battle via computer anymore. Overall, still a good game.
The interface is horrendous... everytime it get a new card it doesn't show up on my collection immediately when I get it... also, most of the people in the game will more likely beat you. in other words, not a lot of beginners in this game, no even skill set. edit:its a decent game, but you should still improve on the matchmaking system a bit to where we can fsce ppl the same lv and skill as us.
Good game, but i clicked on new player in the beginning. I never got to add an email or password and now i can no longer log in. Any help would be appriciatsd since i would like to continue playing
I would first love to say that Acute Games handled the mobile port to Urban Rivals quite well save for one thing I'd like to point out: I bought 25 credits, but the app didn't process it even if the cash I spent on the credits is gone from my Google account. (I have the receipt in the form of a screenshot). No matter how many times I re-open the app and clear cache, it still wouldn't show up. It would be nice if there was a 'restore purchases' button since Google itself validated the purchase.
I'm leaving 5 stars because I've been playing this game since 2007 (I think) on different accounts, but please Acute Games, look into lag issues in Quebec, Canada. My phone is fine, my internet connection is great, but it seems like the game is either unresponsive or really slow everyday and it's getting more and more difficult to not lose patience...
I've been playing this game since 2010, the game concept is really nice but the new user interface is completely unplayable. Compose the deck is incredibly inconvenient and absolutely not user friendly. The list of banned cards in elo is not readily available. The game is full of bugs. Get better or at least get back to a level where you could play and get 5 stars back.
Would give it 5 stars, but I had my account for over 10 years an recently started again, I had none of my cards or Clintz from that time. Its upsetting, but overall its a good game.
I wish the clan symbols showed up on my phone since the search feature is only for a single clan at once, but I do like the game, mostly collecting and selling cards.
Been playing this game waaay back in the day and since the new stuff keep coming in my made account just got banned or deleted for no reason, been loyal to this game and still kept coming back, graphics got better but don't feel the same game anymore
Only playable for long term players new and returning players will just be a punching bag as well as market prices to build a deck being unrealistic
I've played urban rivals since 2009. I left and came back a few times, but always came back to a better, more improved and optimized game. Truly a staple for online TCGs. The app is not perfect, but I understand the developers don't have the budget of a AAA company to fully upgrade the interface. Great game!
Used to play in pc. This Android version just seems too slow. The interface takes time to load. And the whole navigating through the menu is not user friendly. Once you finish the tutorial it seems OK but creating new deck takes time and is a hassel(interface is not user friendly). And tutorial itself is too long. Gave it 2 star only out of nostalgia. Had a high expectation when I downloaded the game but totally disappointed. Such poor effort to develop the Android version is just dissapointing
This game has become what it always should have been. Its great now! The only issue is the mobile app is poorly designed. It lags a lot. Its not easy to view your collection and make decks. Seriously, save yourself a headache and just play on a computer
Stuck at opening screen with the Acute Game logo, can't progress at all, can't play the game.
I used to play this game way back in the day when I saw ads for it on newgroundsas a kid. I'm super glad to see it's still going and how much it's improved over the years. The only reason I dropped it back then because it was a major grind to get new cards but they seemed to have fixed that. All it needs now is maybe some polish on the UI and maybe update the sound effects but that's just me being nitpicky. All in all it's still a solid TCG with unique game play and great card art.
