Set up easily enough the first time, but I upgraded my router and resetting the speakers was a huge pain. Multi-room is unreliable; even one room away the 2nd speaker lags, skips, loses connection etc. They are good for the price but the app is a slog; you need to reset the speaker to change wifi settings which is ridiculous. I had to do it again after rebooting the router.
Fixed connection issues. Maybe helps someone reading this. For me it always was a router/wifi issue. My fix was setting an unique name for my router's 2.4Ghz WiFi and resetting my Baggen to connect to it. I also restart my router every day at 4AM by automatically capping it's power for some minutes (simple power plug timer). That said, the WiFi worked with every other device. All this for one device is a first. Otherwise the Baggen is a bargain. The app, connectivity options and sound are great.
Great once set up. The instructions are a bit simplistic which doesn't cover whats required. It may just be me but you need to connect to the speaker via wifi directly with your phone. Not connected to your own WiFi... Although now its up and running works like a charm with Spotify and Chromecast.
Pretty happy with the app and the speaker, but have had an issue in the last 2 weeks or so that suddenly the volume level shoots up to near max, resulting in some family members having a near-diarrhea-experience. Not sure if it's a 'Connected' or a 'Spotify' issue. Anyone having the same?
The app can find the speaker, but refuses to connect to it. The instructions do not cover in detail how to setup the device (simply says to download the app and setup through it - which is difficult since the app isn't working). Will be returning them.
Works mostly as promised. The manufacturer could have included advice to shut down the 5 GHz wifi during the device setup and perform it only with 2.4 GHz wifi. This did the trick to me, as it has done in numerous cases when setting up different appliances. After the setup both frequencies can be in use.
Works like a charm. The speaker (Lotsen) is almost as good as my harman/kardon in the same size. No the setup isn't perfect, but if ppl would actually READ the error msg when connecting and think! No one would have to take it back. Quick tip for dummies, check your wifi... Good product!
I'm a little confused. This is the only actual Urbanears App, although they also own several Marshall product apps as well. I bought the Urbanears Plattan 2 Bluetooth headphones, when I try to connect and pair I get an error that they need an app to connect. They will not connect just using Bluetooth alone. Yet there is not mention of an app in the user manual at all and no app in the Google Play Store. I would appreciate some direction on how to correct this. I bought 2 pairs that are useless.
Most illogical app I have used. Once the speaker is set up I was left clueless as to why the setup worked since I, by no means, followed the step-by-step guide in the app. I pressed randomly and suddenly it was connected.
after absolutely AGES I managed to get it working however, it it lagged and randomly sped up the song at some points??? Anyway... other than that, it's really loud ( which is a good thing ) and the bass is amazing!
👎👎👎I have 4 urbanears speakers (2baggen, 1stammen, 1lotsen) & have had constant connectivity issues from the start. I've been discussing solutions with custserv for over a year & just get the runaround to the point where now they just don't answer my reply when asked for specific details on my speakers & issues. DON'T BUY UE PRODUCTS, YOU'LL REGRET IT. Waste of 💰. Nice looking hardware but the SOFTWARE IS TERRIBLE. App is almost NEVER UPDATED despite BUGS. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. 👎👎👎👎👎👎
When it works it's fine. When it doesn't its a pain. Have changed wifi router and trying to set up speaker on new network is a pain. Keeps failing to fi d speaker and going back to square one. Suspect problem with app not speaker going from other reviews here. Sort this problem and you will have no more problems!
Connecting this speaker with the app never works. And in the year I've had this speaker I've had to try to reconnect dozens of times. It takes hours of hair-pulling madness. I hate it.
I'm having continuous problems with this app and my Baggen. The app detects Baggen but can't connect to it. I've done a factory reset of the speaker, but that didn't solve it. Gonna try to reinstall the app now.
could never connect to speakers to set them up, went through hours of troubleshooting. returned the speakers to store. waste of time, real shame as i was excited about the speakers
So I'm having a Bluetooth speaker and this app is just ridiculous. Doesn't show anything, doesn't connect to anything doesn't do anything...it's purely useless. Imagine people paying money to develop a app that doesn't do anything right 😂😂😂
Cant connect to any thing on the app its just saying cant connect to AP. Each time and I have done the factory reset on the speakers more Times then i have fingers.
Constantly having connectivity issues. I don't understand how it can be difficult to just maintain a connection over wifi in the year 2020.
Setup falls most of the time, audio cuts out and when playing on multiple speakers audio lag and quality drops are insane.
A lot of trouble searching and connecting the speaker. Never gets connected at single go.
It does everything it should do but the design is not intuitive at all. Should work on that guys since the product is good.
Great product very old fashioned app
This app doesn't recognize my speaker. I repeatedly tried to set it up and at the end of the setup process the app always tells me to try to set it up again; which I did. 5 times. Nothing. Doesn't work. The main features of the speaker Baggen are useless without this app working properly: no radio channels no Spotify playlists no remote volume control How can Urbanears make a dedicated app for a speaker which doesn't even recognize the speaker it was made for???
Love UrbanEars multiroom. Evefythig connected with Chromecast and Google Home.
App literally does not work. Speaker continuously undiscoverable. Speakers don't pair to devices. Really disappointed.
easy to set up and use, great products!
Can't find speaker on network after setup, but Chromecast works.
Works perfect with URBANEARS Speakers!
App itself is ok. My speaker, stammen, starts crackling after a while, not sure exactly how long it takes. But after cutting the power and then starting it again the crackling stops. Cannot recommend this as long as this issue is present. Edit/answer to dev: it's not the WiFi, everything else works perfectly. And why would it work after I reset the speaker again?
