Urja
Power Finance Corporation, the Nodal Agency for Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) for Urban Distribution Sector, under the aegis of Ministry of Power, dedicates URJA App to the Nation –Consumers and Discoms.
Urja App captures Consumer centric parameters from the IT systems created under IPDS covering 1222 towns across the country. The towns are ranked based on the monthly performance on following parameters:
Consumer complaints redressal
Release of new service connection
Average number of interruptions
Average duration of interruptions
Number of consumers making e-payments
Energy lost / power theft i.e. AT&C loss
The information of these towns is aggregated to derive the Discom wise and State wise ranking on above parameter. The aim is to generate a sense of positive competition and sharing of best practices.

If we can measure then we can control,so now its a scale to measure the status of electricity of town.Well initiate to go beyond of success its time for excellent. This App is so transparent to get our state DISCOM status regarding loss level as well as supply status.

What is the purpose of the app? Who does it connect to consumer apart from showing the statistics, slow app, not an easy to go app. How a consumer is supposed to connect to the dicomm???????? There is no complaint register dashboard, seriously idea behind this app is not clear to me.

The URJA app brings transparency of Integrated Power Development Scheme work carrying out by DISCOM(Distribution Company) under State government. Ranking is provided to create healthy competition amongst States/DISCOM's/Towns interms of better Consumer service provided details under Consumer Dashboard. IPDS Progressive status also provided on IPDS Daahboard. Adoped common electrcity complaints number 1912 on pan India basis.One of the best revolution app in India and Globally!!

You can see the power reliability, quality, status of ongoing ipds project. You can get power information at India level, state level, discom level, town level @ urja app. Very useful...

Nicely designed consumer centric app which allows urban towns' consumers to get connected to parameters like complaints redressal, release of connections, epayment made. Good to see comparison w.r.t. All India and Outage schedules of towns
