US Breaking News: Latest Local News & Breaking

🇺🇸 Totally, an awesome app, loaded with features, i.e., newsy and otherwise - plus, an extensive array of settings to adjust, to suit your user experience! Register an account (if you desire) to allow for interaction with others. In general, as apps go, BN is certainly eligible for an 'elite' classification! Noteworthy: I encountered absolutely no glitches whatsover while utilizing BN - so, give it a chance, and perhaps you too will have a new 'winner' to add to your collection!📱

This application would turn on notifications after I disabled notifications. This happened several times. Finally I just removed the application.

I'm on an older version of Android so my options are limited for news apps. I chose this one as it is supported by my OS. After reading a news story and return to the main screen, all my news stories have changed and are repeated across all headings (local, trending, breaking, etc). This is very frustrating and therefore I usually only read one story. Extremely frustrating!

I originally gave it a 3 because of issues with notifications., but that seems to be resolved UPDATE: After re-install the app seems to be behaving. I like because it's quick and easy to check the top stories, but also has in-depth articles for when you have more time. I'm still working on filtering out the sources that ! feel are biased.

New Oct 30 update greatly improved functionality, so developers are on top of issues, thank you. Great layout and a wide variety of sources provide wide array of topics, all of which are user selectable. My one bone of contention is that you can't disable vibration independently while maintaing audible notifications.. Including that option would be seriously excellent. Nevertheless worthy of 5 stars based on content and performance. New update includes the vibration enable/disable feature! Tnx!

It takes news re-directed from your local newspaper's app, and mixes it in with local insignificant stories from every town across the country, as if it were from your own home town, but it is all extremely inundated with advertising all over the screen, including obnoxious full-screen video ads of 20 seconds or so in length! The whole app is basically one big collection of advertisements.

Note to dev: I understand the need/desire to be compensated for one's labor and, so, the inclusion of ads, which is why I look for apps like yours that provide a purchase option. My main point is that I believe $10 to be too costly. Other very full-featured RSS News apps, like NewsCracker, are available for a mere fraction of that cost. ORIGINAL: Too many ads. Ads-free too expensive at $10!

App needs repairs. The ads repeat relentlessly and always the same single ad, between every five articles. News articles require multiple clicks to open. All video's start with an ad that plays 3 seconds at a time, with 30 second breaks for loading the next 3 second segment... on the chance you make it through the entire video ad, the news video that you waited for has a zero percent chance of playing, rather an error message is displayed. I love to check all news sources and digest the multiple variations that the different slants and viewpoints represent. The "real truth" Is in there somewhere if you read all sources with an open and critical mind. This is what I hope all of my students from back in the day continue to do.

good app, but recently it have stopped sending any notifications about news. i have checked- notifications for this app are allowed on my phone. probably it has somwrhing to do with new version of android. i hope it will return back to normal soon

Allows comments with likes/dislikes. Seems to have plenty of fresh content. Can unfollow news sources. Lots of settings, such as turning off auto play of videos. That's all great. But the ads already seem a bit overwhelming. (just installed today). I don't know how many more times I can take being spammed by deer hunting game and super telephoto lens scam ads before I uninstall... The unfollow does not work. Clicked unfollow CNN under at least 10 videos now. Still showing video content from CNN.

App de-selects my choices for news sources and sets its own, REPEATEDLY. Thus rendering the app useless. Multiple source choices from every media category and push notifications are high on the list for what people want but can't find in a news app. Correct the major issues with source selection and this concept is a good one. This app has alot of potential. Uninstalling for now.

From one star to five. Support for this app is simply the best in the business. Once again they have worked with me in realtime to resolve a technical glitch over the course of many hours to get me up and running again. Bravo! The app itself is excellent, very customisable, consistently functional, and the user conversations are diversified. This is the only app you will ever need for world, national or local news. Thanks again guys!

This would be so much better if it didn't look so cluttered. It's just too busy & not enough space for separate articles to be clear. Also, this ads that look just like articles. I found myself just scrolling through, trying to focus on the news. Too bad because I wanted to like this. I need an alternative to Flipboard and some of the other apps.

won't save settings. it offers a lot of settings. i go through the menu, make my selections, and it ignores them. i turn off notifications, and it turns them right back on. i turn off pictures, and it turns them right back on. a big disappointment.

Sends a loud notification every 10 minutes. It happened so much that I had to restrict notifications, and eventually deleted the app because every week or so it would start sending notifications again. Other than that it's an okay app. Mostly boring, unimportant news about the government. Far from "Breaking News". Just a bunch of clickbait BS drama that only bored, nosy American housewives would find interesting.

Installed, then uninstalled quickly! I installed this app a few months ago. It was so annoying. Every time I was reading a news break, an ad would pop up. Then, if I clicked on a news break, it came up with a completely different topic. On top of this, it would tell me that I have to install the app when it was already installed. Now that I see all the political comments. I would not try installing again. Tired of hearing about politics

just to comment on Breaking News i liked them some time ago so tired of Fox only 1 complaint i cannot finish me acct. with Breaking everytime i get the code ?? it switches to searching for captcha checking so cannot even comment anywhere. thank you

good app,it gives updates news in real time

For the most part it is good. However every once in a while some people are allowed to get away with using racial slangs.and then at other times I get reported even though I did not break any of the rules. Aside from these troublemakers I would say it's a pretty good website. You'll never be perfect but keep trying never stop trying to reach it. Also this app is safe.there are some other apps that can cause your phone to jam and malfunction another ways. This one is a safe one.

Latest update broke "unfollow", and app is more cumbersome. The menu option listing all the available news sources along with the option to follow or not is gone. This means the feed contains news sources in which you have no interest, and which you need to "unfollow" individually at the articles when they pop up. Thing is, that function doesn't work. I unfollowed a source, closed the app and restarted the phone. Opened the app and the same source/article still shows up. Really? C'mon. Re.: never had to log in before. Don't need/want another "account".

user unfriendly. have to click twice to continue reading, and then continue reading the entire article; then have to click twice to back all the way to main table, and more often than not that's when a full page ad pops up. so basically surf 5x for 1 story. lots of stories, yes. user unfriendly, also yes.

Sharing stories doesn't work, it automatically enables every notification including lock screen & bypasses even do not disturb!!! It's so difficult to read any article with all the ads in middle of paragraphs, pop up ads in article & continue reading bar to push for every one. Worse all it does is redirect you to shady sites to read actual articles, they aren't within this app. Spare yourself the hassle of this junk app.
