US Dept. of Justice NSOPW App
This app provides users with information about registered sex offenders that have residential, employment, or school addresses that are within a close proximity of the mobile device running the app. Searches can be conducted nationally using a ¼ mile, ½ mile, or 1 mile radius or by offender name. The initial search will be performed based upon the location of the mobile device, but searches can be run from other locations by tapping those locations on the map. In the event that the registering jurisdiction (state, territory, Indian tribe, or District of Columbia) for the user’s area does not allow searching by geographic coordinates for registered sex offender addresses, a zip code search will be used to find matching offenders and the results can be viewed by tapping the status message at the top of the app. NSOPW is actively working with all jurisdictions to allow searching by geographic coordinates and will modify the app searching capabilities as improvements become available.
Please be aware that when you tap the “More Information” button when viewing the details of a matching record you will be directed to the details about the particular registered sex offender on the registering jurisdiction’s public sex offender website. These websites are outside of NSOPW’s control and may not be mobile device friendly.
The purpose of this app is solely to provide users with the ability to search for registered sex offender by location and name. If you would like sexual abuse education and prevention information or have questions about sex offender registration in general please visit NSOPW at nsopw.gov.

Excellent user interaction. BUT there is an error saying it took to long to search or find people. Obviously the app needs to be fixed or updated. Two stars till its updated.
something is wrong with the link to the website when I click on the "more Information" tab. I keep getting an error message and the website won't open. if I go to my browser and open the site it works fine.
Would have never guessed how many offenders lived in my community. Definitely would recommend. The only thing is you may find something about individuals that you have had contact with or still do.
Will bring up map showing the number of offenders registered in the given range of you but when you go to try and see the list it totally closes the app
Worked great for me! Im in mid-southwest region. Its helped to take away some of the ugliest people in the world. There were 83 csp's just within 1 mile radius! Witj name, add, city, vehicle or not, convictions.. thank u foe help creating this much needed service. It came along just in time!
This doesn't work at all. Even putting in the address it says nothing took to long to load. Well delete this one too.
Not working well searching forever and says there's none and other apps say there's a number I checked it against several apps and theres at least 3 offenders but this did not find any
Easy to use, up to a mile in search radius. Info pops up for all offenders. Free.
Area not mapped? Only shows a list without photos or addresses so it's pretty useless.
Last update 2016??? App is of no value in it's current rendition. Needs an overhaul or removed.
This app works great. Works like you would expect it to work unlike the minnehaha county web page. LOL
Consistently gets zero results in a major metro area with a history of many offenders.
it cant find anything and it took 2 seconds to search and said it searched to long.

Its shows me.within a mile and that's it and a wrong photo on first use but I need to view anywhere in the usa

This app isnt up to date like the other offender apps
Works fine few first times untill I get an error message. Great work! Good to know that this app doesn't work properly.
